The time has come, Aussies! Linkin Park will be hitting the East Coast of Australia this upcoming March, with three dates in the continent:

March 3, 2026  - Brisbane, QLD (Brisbane Entertainment Center)

March 8, 2026 - Melbourne, VIC (Rod Laver Arena)

March 14, 2026 - Sydney, NSW (Qudos Bank Arena)

LPU pre-sales begin Monday, August 18, 2025.

Tickets go on sale to the public on Friday, August 22 at 11am AEST.

Who’s planning in going?! This will be Linkin Park’s first trip down under since they performed at the Soundwave Festival in 2013 on the Living Things World Tour - it’ll have been over 13 years by the time these shows roll around!

The band were also revealed to have been confirmed for Download Australia in 2018, but due to Chester’s passing they never made it back around to the continent until now.

A little surprised at Perth, Adelaide, and Auckland all being left off but there is time and room to do others if they need to, I guess? But they know the demand better than we do. Maybe they are a bit conservative with booking after the middle of the U.S. shows turned out to be messy. And there is definitely room for a night 2 if they need it. They could do Auckland before or after this run.

You have to think they'll couple this with something in Asia while they're over there.

What happened?

BTW: I hope these ones sell out fast and add more cities and places

If you refer to the mess US show in the middle of the tour then it the following:

The shows from Nashville to Kansas City aren't selling very well. Some of these are really small markets, and demand doesn't seem to be that high. It's a bit messy, mainly because the upper tiers of some arenas (Nashville, Omaha, Kansas City) are no longer available for sale. Not because they're sold out, but because they're reducing the capacity. Nashville won't be a 360° show e.g. They've reduced the size of the arena there so that it has a classic end-stage setup. The capacity is shrinking to about 9-10k+ instead of the original 15-20k+.

But it must be said that this only affects these shows (Nashville, St. Louis, Milwaukee, Minneapolis, Omaha, Kansas City). The first show in Boston wasn't sold out until 48 hours before the show started. In the end, however, it was very well attended. Overall, the US tour will also be a success for the band even if other markets (Europe, South America, Asia, basically the rest of the world) are performing at an even higher level.

THANKS! that's the kind of answer I needed

You are correct, just adding a few things:

Nashville will still be a 360 stage, aka the pit is all around the band but yes they closed off some of the seating. It will not be endstage. It's the same stage setup all tour, they just don't have those grey areas available anymore to buy.

The midwest sold very poorly for the band but the northeast was the most successful run they have ever had there - 7 absolutely slammed shows, like 90-100% capacity at all 7. They've never played multiple nights in cities and done that well in the northeast. In the future they may want to cut down on the middle of the country shows and do a full northeast run (with Philadelphia, and do 2 Montreal shows, etc) since they can't get enough of LP up there.

Look at some of the other midwest maps - it's pretty bad. But they now know what they can and can't do in the U.S. - at the end of the day it's nice to see them make up shows from 2015 and 2017, but they will definitely cut it down some moving forward. Just hammer the full northeast and then the select other markets.

What the fuck at removing Chester from the music videos?

What about this then? I guess that’s a bit different here but they only chose snippets with Mike, Joe and Dave in it and some wide shots where you can’t see any of them. They had no other footage back then for obvious reasons.

But I agree, it’s not the most intelligent move to do that. Other Tv channels etc. had better promotion videos.

Do we think they'll do 360 or endstage on the Aus shows? They're not the biggest venues (15k-20k capacity).

I'd love to see them do 360 but bringing that staging to Australia would be pretty expensive if there's a lot of unique kit. (And if there is a lot of unique kit & they don't have 2 rigs set up the way a band like Metallica does, the ~10 hour drive for multiple trucks would be part of why there's so long between shows)

Thats how I feel when the band or band members post stories on insta and they mute Chester's parts on purpose.

Joe is constantly posting pictures in his instagram stories with LP music and not just the instrumentals. When there are pictures with Sam playing OSC, he puts the bridge in the story with Chesters vocals. Lol

Some of y’all put too much stock into who posts what on social media. Sometimes they use instrumental for their stories sometimes they use the studio version. It’s not that deep lmao.

I agree the Australian TV promo could have been done better. Maybe they didn’t want to be associated with using Chester’s image to promote FZ tour. Not on the band though.

Any particular reason behind it? I'm European, so this kind of things get off my radar.

Just low demand and small markets. I remember LP playing in that arena in 2015 (end stage setup) and closed the upper section as well and played a smaller capacity configuration. There are just some areas that aren’t big on LP or rock/metal in general. And perhaps a small part is  people not liking the new era and Emily as the new vocalist.

The US/Canada is pretty heterogeneous. In the east/noth east, they probably could have played one baseball stadium show in Boston, New York and Montreal while they have trouble filling an arena in the mid west.

Let’s see what happens in Australia. Curious tinder whether they sell those out immediately or not. I expect 2nd nights.
