Is there any recording of this with the full intro of Emptiness Machine? Everything, including LP's video, seems like it has a cut intro.

There was no intro. The announcer tells the fans that LP is playing now and they immediately started with "Let you cut me open...". Was like that in the rehearsals as well and always caught me by surprise in an empty and silent stadium 😄

It was fun, fast and quick.

The commentors "hated" it. Not because of the band/act but because this really takes the football players out of focus right before a greatly important match.

That's a weird stance to take. I guess I'm just used to it as an American who has seen NFL Super Bowl halftime shows become more and more elaborate, but the event itself is about entertaining the fans in attendance who have often paid exorbitant prices to be there.

At least this was the kick off show and the game hadn't even started yet. They didn't stop the game for 30 minutes right in the middle of it to have this performance, which is what the NFL does during their own biggest game of the year.

in football ("soccer") it's different, we don't really care about shows, performances or anything like that at the level they care in America. We wan't to see the game. If it was a half-time show it'd be worse. On the other hand, every year it's more common to have a kick-off show, but it's really not that important for the game, nobody's going to see/watch the game just for the show, it's like an add-on.

I have some pictures and a clip from the stage build, if you are interested. And a full phone recording from one of the wheelchair areas. (We stood behind that and someone offered to take my friend’s phone to film)

tbh this was kinda awkward and low energy

Low energy? I can get if one doesn’t like shortened versions of songs and would have wanted two full songs instead of 4-5 short ones, but „low energy“?

Yeah seemed like the opposite of low energy to me. They sounded great. Pre-recorded instrumental to get it perfect but the vocals, performance, etc was all really good.

so the playback was on the music but the singing was live?

Yep, that’s normal for such an event.

But it should be noticed that in contrast to this show, the LoL event was most likely a full live performance. Either Mike or Alex fucked the muting of their guitar up, therefore producing a high note.

yeah I know usually in USA it's all playback, but with this one I couldn't tell (I'm no musician) with the instruments because it was more clear with the singing.

thx

at least during the rehearsals, the drums were live. I could clearly hear that sound coming not only from the speakers, but from the pitch as well. Hard to tell, if the rest was live, too.
