stylax Posted May 20 Posted May 20 Hey everyone I'm finally seeing Linkin Park live for the first time in Milan next month and I'm coming from Barcelona. Since we leave the day after the show, I wanted to know if anyone has been to an I-Days concert and knows how it's the experience of leaving the venue. I couldn't find hotels nearby (less than 30min walking) but I saw that there's a metro station close. Anyone has experience going and leaving the venue? Because I'm afraid with so many people it could get tricky to go back to the hotel. (Basically I'm afraid of not having the metro working and ultra expensive cabs). Also I'll be at the golden circle (couldn't get into the LPU pit) so if anyone is going we can meet there. Thanks Quote
Cesar656 Posted May 21 Posted May 21 I am going with a group of friends. I recommend uber or cabs, public transportation will be a mess. Golden circle should have a nice view, so going too early might not be that great of an idea unless you want first row. Mind that people might be a bit aggresive, last I-days got a knife shown because i was at the barricade and some dude wanted 3 spots for himself. security was quick to kick him out tho Quote
PeppePark Posted May 22 Posted May 22 Hi there! I’m from Italy and I've been to I-Days before, though not at this venue or in this city. It was back in 2017 and it was actually a Linkin Park show during the One More Light tour, but the festival took place in Monza. I'll be in Milan this time, and it definitely doesn't seem like an easy situation, big events like this rarely are, especially in Italy. I was also a bit worried about getting back to the city center after the show, so I decided to go with a different strategy. I booked a hotel in Rho, which is part of the metropolitan area of Milan but in the opposite direction from the city center on the metro line. It's actually the last stop. So instead of heading into the city center, I'll be going the other way, where there will definitely be fewer people. The metro station closest to the venue is called Uruguay, and it's just five stops before Rho, so it seemed like a good option, especially since the metro should be running at least until 11:30 PM or midnight. Shows in Italy usually start pretty late during the summer, especially at festivals. We'll have three bands playing before LP, but hopefully they won't go past 9:30 PM, also because I hope we won't get the 90-minute set but the full one. Have you already booked a hotel? If so, how far is it from the venue? Quote
stylax Posted May 23 Author Posted May 23 Thanks for your responses @Cesar656 and @PeppePark! I'm waiting for the schedules because I'm from Spain and here sometimes the concerts are late, like 10pm starting or even 12pm on festivals so I'm hoping in Italy is sooner to have more time to go back to the hotel because we're leaving the next day. I haven't booked the hotel for that day yet, we have the hotels for the other days we're in Milan but we haven't decided yet on that day but I like the idea of going the other way of the metro to avoid the crowd. I'll look on the next stops of the metro and see what I can find there! Quote
