Mike guests with Fall Out Boy

Surprise! Taking the place of Paramore, Fall Out Boy headlined the 2024 iHEartRadio ALTer EGO show in Anaheim last night and none other than Mike Shinoda showed up to guest!

 

Mike, who is a long time friend of Pete Wentz, joined the band on their hit song "Dance, Dance" from their 2005 album From Under the Cork Tree. You can see Patrick motion for Mike to come out as the bridge begins, where he joined through the end of the song.

 

 

Mike was also seen backstage in a photo with Yellowcard's Ryan Key, Bush's Gavin Rossdale, and Shinedown's (not on the lineup) Brent Smith.

I've seen Audience videos and I can't hear Mike, his mic sounds very low.

 

I wonder if the webcast is better.

maybe the organizer knew bout it last minute and the mixing/mic volume hard to adjust during the show

It's ok, they would have gotten what, a 60-70 minute set at KROQ? And their make up announcement is a free show at the Forum in LA. So, they'll get a full show. It worked out haha

I'm also disappointed that Mike's mic was so low in the mix. I love Fall Out Boy so seeing Mike on stage with them is really cool.
