I can't wait for Symphonies of Light now. I'm almost through LPU 15 myself. Yes the ones you listed for sure have scratches. I'm so grateful you took the time to make the more comprehensive list because I was originally just interested in songs made 2006 and beyond for reasons similar to what you're talking about, and ignored the HT/Meteora Demos on the later LPU disks. The band "grew out" of using turntable scratches on studio tracks, so whenever it happened after Meteora era, it was more of a treat. (I also totally agree about QWERTY) Quote
OKCrew Posted April 15, 2022 Author Posted April 15, 2022 I can't believe I forgot about Not Alone. I love that song Quote
OKCrew Posted July 20, 2023 Author Posted July 20, 2023 It's here. The comprehensive playlist. The 2 LPU tracks had to be added to Spotify from my local library and it's only 8 songs total but it's finally done. Revel in its glory Quote

It’s the only audible scratching on the EP that’s completely new and unique to the mashup, and doesn’t come from either of the other songs: 1. Dirt Off Your Shoulder/Lying From You - the scratching in the bridge is just from Lying From You 2. Big Pimpin’/Papercut - the scratching throughout is just from Big Pimpin’ 3. Jigga What/Faint - no audible scratches 4. Numb/Encore - no audible scratches (in this case scratches from the original Numb weren’t included in new production) 5. Izzo/In the End - NEW, unique audible scratches in the outro! 🔥 6. PoA/99 Problems/OST - prominent scratching throughout but it was just from original PoA and OST Quote

Yeah, it seems like he lost the cure for the itch, due to his scratching on the new album, lol. Quote

I was really looking forward to have scratching once again. Now that LP will make it popular just look at all the other bands doing it too. Quote
juancpin Posted October 31, 2024 Posted October 31, 2024 Hi!! I don't know if it's mentioned here, but Mr. Hahn scratches also in Lady Tigra's 'Bass on the Bottom' AAAwesome. Quote
Paigeinpark Posted November 18, 2024 Posted November 18, 2024 From Zero Scratches: Two Faced Casualty Cut The Bridge (intro) IGYEIH (Intro) have i missed any? someone pointed out on reddit there were subtle scratches on Over Each Other and Heavy Is The Crown but i couldnt hear anything tbh Quote
juancpin Posted November 18, 2024 Posted November 18, 2024 I think I heard some at the beginning of "Stained", during Mike's first part. (love the track) Quote

OKCrew Posted November 19, 2024 Author Posted November 19, 2024 Thanks for keeping the scratch alive y’all 🙌 I flipped my whole lid when i heard the scratches on Two Faced! Haven’t felt that way since they dropped W&K as a promo single back in 2010 and he hit us with that surprise solo in the outro. i’ll have to listen to the others listed by Paige & Juan more closely to make it out, but Two Faced for sure has that classic cure for the itch 🙏 Quote
YRQRM0 Posted November 19, 2024 Posted November 19, 2024 I'm not sure I would call the sound in cut the bridge a scratch, it's more like a reverse sound effect than him actually performing on the table (I'd guess) I wouldn't call the Stained ones scratching either, but they could be. Hard to say without hearing a version of the sound with less effects on it Quote

Hahn did something similar in Nobody's Listening: Quote

Chris Posted February 28 Posted February 28 7 hours ago, Paigeinpark said: i knew he scratched on the bridge, but the subtle scratching on the breakdown is sick as hell and i wish it was louder on the mix Not scratches per se. It's most likely running through his tables, but this is the same thing he does on "And One," cutting the crossfader without any sample manipulation, using the exact same Afrika Bambaataa sample he did on "And One." He has the loop on Tasty Gas Station Breaks from the Orient. Joe's just cutting the crossfader in rhythm; no actual scratching speed manipulation. Also does a similar thing with his sample on the bridge of "Runaway." Quote
