ThePretender Posted June 16, 2015 Posted June 16, 2015 I'm looking for articles, reviews, discussions etc about Linkin Park songs. I like to read how songs are analyzed on different levels (layers, structure, lyrics, drum parts and so on) but unfortunately, I can't really find something like this. Quote
RogueSoul Posted June 16, 2015 Posted June 16, 2015 In addition to that thread, check out this one: http://lplive.net/forum/index.php?showtopic=10406&do=findComment&comment=207390 Quote
GlassCastles Posted June 16, 2015 Posted June 16, 2015 The Song Interpretation Thread I almost completely forgot about that thread. We should use it more. Quote
ThePretender Posted June 17, 2015 Author Posted June 17, 2015 Thanks guys but I know about these two threads and I think they're great. But I'm looking for, I don't know, something deeper?. For instance, there was an page where someone talked about how A Thousand Suns works as a concept album and how the songs are linked to each other. That was really interesting (the page doesn't exist anymore though). So something like that. Quote
thedamian58c Posted June 17, 2015 Posted June 17, 2015 Maybe we should make a topic where we analyze songs? I think that the threads on this site that fits most to your criteria are Alternate Versions Guide or The Ultimate Comparison Thread TUCT: http://lplive.net/forum/index.php?showtopic=10040&hl=comparison&page=1 AVG (no I don't mean the antivirus program): http://lplive.net/forum/index.php?showtopic=9695&do=findComment&comment=186585 Quote
Twiilite Posted June 18, 2015 Posted June 18, 2015 Genius.com is kind of interesting for lyrical analysis for each song. Sure every analysis is contributed by randoms ala wikipedia, but some of the interpretations feel pretty spot on, and in some cases made me appreciate a song in an entirely different way. Here's Keys To The Kingdom, for example Quote
ThePretender Posted June 20, 2015 Author Posted June 20, 2015 Thanks. Something like that is what I was looking for. I also hoped to find more academic analysis but I think they exist. Quote
