RogueSoul Posted October 5, 2014 Posted October 5, 2014 Stone Temple Pilots with Chester Bennington will be performing their second of three shows on their short tour into the south USA. The band will be performing at the Louder Than Life festival in Louisville, Kentucky at Champions Park. Yesterday, the band performed their first show at Bayfest in Mobile, Alabama. The show featured a new setlist, featuring songs like "Dead and Bloated" and "Vasoline", as well as a few new surprises, like Chester singing "Plush" with them for the first time! Check out this video of "Vasoline" from Bayfest! The band is at the top of their game right now! Robert posted on Twitter that a few songs that they haven't played with Chester have been rehearsed. Will we see some new songs from High Rise be performed live, or some more old ones that Chester hasn't performed yet? What songs do you want to see STPWCB play live? Who's heading to the show? The band will be playing before Judas Priest and Korn, as well as sharing the stage with other acts like Limp Bizkit, Alter Bridge, and Mastodon. Of Mice & Men, whom will be touring with Linkin Park throughout November. Austin Carlile joined Linkin Park at the Hollywood Bowl a few weeks ago on the Carnivores Tour - will we see Chester join them for a song? After this show, the band performs once more in Birmingham, Alabama until taking a break for the rest of the month while Linkin Park prepares for a short tour in Brazil. They'll play one last show in Connecticut on Halloween night, too. Follow us on Twitter @LiveSTP for updates! SETLIST: 01. Sex Type Thing 02. Vasoline 03. Wicked Garden 04. Sin 05. Big Bang Baby 06. EDIT: Someone on BelowEmpty said that "Sin" was performed as well.EDIT: Clip of "Crackerman": http://websta.me/p/824542074337422903_46444026 Quote
RogueSoul Posted October 5, 2014 Author Posted October 5, 2014 Plush, Interstate Love Song, and Wicked Garden were played for sure. Weird that we can't find the setlists yet. Quote
RogueSoul Posted October 5, 2014 Author Posted October 5, 2014 Shortened setlist. Sin, Meatplow, and Piece of Pie dropped (might be more). Chester gave the crowd a choice between Dead & Bloated, Pie, and Trippin' - the response to Trippin' was huge. Chester said fuck it and they did both Dead and Trippin', he said "They can turn off the power if they want." Quote
LESTAT Posted October 5, 2014 Posted October 5, 2014 Review and setlist: http://www.alternativenation.net/review-stone-temple-pilots-louder-than-life-festival/ What's the source for the setlist in the main post? Quote
[AndOne] Posted October 5, 2014 Posted October 5, 2014 I find it also unlikely that the setlist in the OP is correct when it was only a 60 minutes set. The review setlist seems a lot more plausible. The April 1st show was a 60 minutes set with 12 songs. Quote
RogueSoul Posted October 5, 2014 Author Posted October 5, 2014 What's the source for the setlist in the main post? Preston This set seems a lot more correct, though. changed. Quote
lpliveusername Posted October 6, 2014 Posted October 6, 2014 ... Thanks! From the same channel: Quote
JZLP-Benningstrong Posted October 6, 2014 Posted October 6, 2014 Why this is not on the newswire? Chester is on this band... I remember when you guys posted about JK and SOB.. and the worst of all the other bands section recently (AKA the I want to write about 30STM because I love them) Big mistake. Quote
thedamian58c Posted October 6, 2014 Posted October 6, 2014 Wow, Chester sung amazing, so raspy and grungy. I like it. Quote
Skipees Posted October 6, 2014 Posted October 6, 2014 Why this is not on the newswire? Chester is on this band... I remember when you guys posted about JK and SOB.. and the worst of all the other bands section recently (AKA the I want to write about 30STM because I love them) Big mistake. The STP section is a standalone sub-forum in the site, it's open to public (the same as the Newswire), and it has its own Twitter account. Think about it as a site inside a site. Quote
RogueSoul Posted October 6, 2014 Author Posted October 6, 2014 (AKA the I want to write about 30STM because I love them) Grow up. I even made it a #ParamorePun to be more lighthearted. Quote
