    Burn It Down

    - The broadcast of the song is messed up. It appears that a playback pre-recorded version of the song (except the vocals) started early on the broadcast for some reason and the actual instrumental starts about 34 seconds in, which the crowd reacts to. On stage, the performance seems to have no issue. At about a minute and fifteen seconds in, the problem is fixed. Regardless, it seems that the performance is all playback except for the live vocals.

    - Brad did not travel to Japan for the two promo shows because he was sick. These are the first two shows Brad has ever missed and his guitar tech Sean Paden did not travel either. Instead, Mike's guitar tech at the time, Jeremy Nielsen, filled in for Brad.

    - Joe messed up the intro to the song.

    - This was the first time that 'Castle Of Glass' was performed live.

    - Linkin Park was nominated for 'Best Song In Game' for 'Castle Of Glass' (in Medal of Honor: Warfighter), but lost to Beck's 'Cities' (in Sound Shapes).

    New Divide

    - 'Waiting For The End' was played without an intro or an outro for the only time in 2012. The new 2012 intro was played the day prior and both the intro and outro were played the day after at the first full 2012 show.

    - Six songs from Third Encore were shown on a projector at the Rio+Social event in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil on June 19, 2012. Before that date, this performance was unknown. The projector at the event that showed the LP performance to attendees was filmed and webcasted, resulting in a very bad quality webcast. Talking from attendees at the event is audible in the webcast.

    - The stage design at Third Encore was set up for the next day's LP Underground / Music For Relief (Power The World) show in West Hollywood. It is unknown whether this is the exact order or not of the songs performed, although it is likely this is not the order they were performed in since the band was rehearsing for their first full 2012 show the next day. It is likely these six songs were taken from a full rehearsal setlist that day.

    - The audio was not professionally mixed before being shown, resulting in guitars being louder than normal, etc. Editing was done to the video to include track titles at the start of each song.

    - Mike and Phoenix joined the Rio+Social event via webcast before the Linkin Park performance was shown.

    - At least the vocal track from 'Burn It Down' was used as playback at the TV total Autoball EM 2012 performance in Köln in June.

    - 'Burn It Down' was played twice due to the sound being messed up on the first take (some instruments were not audible). 'New Divide' was played twice due to Joe messing up the breakdown the first time.

    - The soundcheck before the show included 'Lies Greed Misery' and a partial, sped up version of 'Burn It Down'.

    - It is very likely (essentially confirmed by a crew member) that at least the vocal track was lipsynched at this performance since it matches exactly with the Rio+Social 'Burn It Down' vocal track from May 2012. This is the first known time that the band has done this at a show.

    - This is the first time that 'With You' has opened a show since March 15, 2004 in Inglewood, CA.

    - 'Empty Spaces'/'When They Come For Me' reappeared for the first time in 2012, after not being played on the European Tour.

    - Mike rapped verse two of 'Until It Breaks' over the intro to 'Waiting For The End'.

    - Mike sang part of the lyrics to 'Numb/Encore' over the outro of 'Numb'.

    - The crowd started to sing the first verse of 'Bleed It Out' but Mike restarted them halfway through.

    - The band debuted pyrotechnics again for the first time since Projekt Revolution 2004, using them on 'Burn It Down', 'Bleed It Out' and 'One Step Closer'.

    - 'Crawling' was on the setlist after 'What I've Done' but was not played.

    - Since the first two shows of the Honda Civic Tour were makeup shows from 2011, Incubus did not start the tour until the third show in Mansfield.

on November 12, 2012. 'In The End' is cut until the first chorus. Shot from the VERY back of the stadium, a long way away from the stage. Zoom does pretty good from that spot. Audio is not great and sometimes when he zooms in he is missing the band members, zooming too high.

    - There were very high winds during this performance. Distortion from the wind on the mics is slightly audible on the DSP at the start of 'LOATR/SOTD/Iridescent'.

    - Chester messed up the lyrics on 'Given Up'.

    - On 'Points Of Authority', Chester forgot part of the chorus each time it was sung. Mike corrects him and at the end of the song, Chester said, "Thanks for telling me that line Mike, I couldn't remember it for the entire fucking song... it's funny, I just kept saying the same line over and over again."

    - Mike rapped verse two of 'Until It Breaks' over the intro to 'Waiting For The End'. Chester let the crowd sing the first "wishing I had strength to stand" on the song as well.

    - Mike messed up on the last line of 'The Catalyst', singing "It can't be outdone, it can't be outdone" instead of the correct line "It can't be outfought, it can't be outdone".

    - Mike and Chester sang part of the lyrics to 'Numb/Encore' over the outro of 'Numb'.

    - 'Bleed It Out' featured the Beastie Boys' 'Sabotage' bridge.

    - This was Linkin Park's first show in South Africa.

    - This was Linkin Park's first show in Africa.

    - For the 7th LPU Summit, the band performed a seven song soundcheck before the show. An earlier draft of the soundcheck setlist (found in the dressing room during the LPU Summit) included 'Faint', 'With You', 'Lies Greed Misery', the studio version of 'Leave Out All The Rest', the Ballad Medley, and 'Lost In The Echo'.

    - A number of fans were injured before the show when scaffolding outside the venue fell on them due to the high winds. One fan died as a result and a number of others were hospitalized. Mike addressed the accident at the following show in 2012.11.10 Johannesburg.

    - There were a few technical difficulties during the show. Mike's microphone was accidentally muted during the first verse of 'A Place For My Head'. Brad's guitar also got muted too early on 'Points Of authority', so the outro "hits" were just bass and drums, until the last note. Mike makes a comment about it and the crowd got a short chant for Brad going before 'Lies Greed Misery'. There was a pretty big gap between 'Breaking The Habit' finishing and Mike starting 'LOATR/SOTD/Iridescent', meaning that the issues with the keyboard likely started around there.

    - Mike rapped verse two of 'Until It Breaks' over the intro to 'Waiting For The End'.

    - Due to keyboard problems after 'Lost In The Echo', the band moved up 'In The End' in the setlist before 'Numb'. Before they played 'In The End', Chester sang the first verse of 'Crawling' acapella for the crowd, who had been chanting for it throughout the show.

    - Mike and Chester both sang part of the lyrics to 'Numb/Encore' over the outro of 'Numb'.

    - 'Bleed It Out' featured the Beastie Boys' 'Sabotage' bridge.

    - This was the first time the first verse of 'Crawling' was sung as an acapella.

    - There was no opening band at this show.

    - The setlist had a few songs in different spots than the last time it was played in Alpharetta, GA. Alpharetta's songs four through eight were: 'Somewhere I Belong', 'Empty Spaces', 'When They Come For Me', 'Victimized (w/ QWERTY)', and 'With You'. The order at this show was: 'With You', 'Victimized (w/ QWERTY)', 'Somewhere I Belong', 'Empty Spaces', and 'When They Come For Me'.

    - Mike rapped verse two of 'Until It Breaks' over the intro to 'Waiting For The End'.

    - Mike sang part of the lyrics to 'Numb/Encore' over the outro of 'Numb'.

    - 'Bleed It Out' featured the Beastie Boys' 'Sabotage' bridge.

    - On August 16, 2012, five shows on the Honda Civic Tour were removed from the DSP website (Wantagh, Noblesville, Tinley Park, Mountain View, and Carson). While Noblesville was randomly released mid-tour, the other four were never released due to disagreements with the venues on how much money they should get from the sale of each recording.

    - The setlist (US Set C) was changed yet again, moving 'What I've Done' up out of the encore and adding a full 'Papercut' to the encore instead of having it mid-set. A full 'Lying From You' was played mid-set as well.

    - The band was forced to play a shortened setlist due to their show time being pushed back because of weather. There was a storm headed towards the venue with 40mph+ wind gusts so the promoter made the decision in the afternoon to move fans away from the stage area for 45 minutes. This delayed Rise Against's set, forcing them to cut songs, and forced Linkin Park to play an abbreviated sixteen song setlist. Songs dropped include 'With You', 'Runaway', 'Somewhere I Belong', 'Breaking The Habit', 'LOATR/SOTD/Iridescent' (Ballad Medley), and 'Crawling'. This was the first time 'Crawling' has ever been dropped from two shows in a row.

    - Mike rapped verse two of 'Until It Breaks' over the intro to 'Waiting For The End'.

    - 'Bleed It Out' featured the Beastie Boys' 'Sabotage' bridge.

    - Marilyn Manson, who played at the same time as Linkin Park, canceled their show due to the weather. Rise Against, who played before LP, also cut songs from their set.

    - The band played US Set A again for the second show in a row and third show out of the last four.

    - Mike rapped verse two of 'Until It Breaks' over the intro to 'Waiting For The End'.

    - After 'Breaking The Habit', Chester imitated Elvis and said "thank you very much", prompting Mike to say "Chester, this one's for you" before he played part of Beethoven's Für Elise on keyboard. This is the first time that Mike has played it live.

    - Mike and Chester both sang part of the lyrics to 'Numb/Encore' over the outro of 'Numb'.

    - 'Bleed It Out' featured the Beastie Boys' 'Sabotage' bridge. Although Incubus canceled their set earlier in the day due to Brandon being sick, their guitarist Mike Einziger still came out after the 'Sabotage' portion of the bridge and jammed with the band on the song.

    - This was the band's first show in western Canada since they played Vancouver on the Meteora World Tour in early 2004.

    - The band played a 30 minute set for the festival, shortening some songs to fit into the allotted time.

    - 'In The End' featured a new intro by Mike on the keyboard. The song was abbreviated and had no bridge. Mike messed up the second verse by rapping a few lines of verse two and then rapping the rest of first one after it.

    - 'Bleed It Out' was played only through the bridge.

    - Mike rapped verse two of 'Until It Breaks' over the intro to 'Waiting For The End' and verse one went into chorus two in the song, so there was no chorus one or verse two. After the song, he lead the crowd in chanting "Las Vegas, Linkin Park sucks!"

    - Mike and Chester both sang part of the lyrics to 'Numb/Encore' over the outro of 'Numb' and Mike's keyboard part transitioned into the 'LOATR/SOTD/Iridescent' medley.

    - 'What I've Done' was similar to 'Waiting For The End' because it had no chorus one or verse two....verse one went into chorus two.

    - 'LOATR/SOTD/Iridescent', 'Burn It Down', 'Faint' and 'One Step Closer' were the normal versions played on tour throughout 2012, while 'Lost In The Echo' was played without the 2012 intro it normally had on tour.

    - This is the first time that 'In The End' has opened a show that was at least 30 minutes long.

    - The band performed an abbreviated setlist due to time constraints. This was the only time that 'Lost In The Echo' ever opened a show.

    - Mike rapped the second verse from 'Until It Breaks' over the intro to 'Waiting For The End'.

    - The band dedicated 'Castle Of Glass' to the servicemen who have fought for the United States.

    - Mike played part of 'God Rest Ye Merry, Gentlemen' on keyboard between 'Numb' and 'What I've Done'. It was five years to the day after the first and only other time he played it (KROQ Almost Acoustic Christmas 2007).

    - Mike jumped down from the stage and walked through the crowd on 'In The End', the first time he had done this at a Linkin Park show in at least a decade.

    - 'Bleed It Out' did not feature any song over the bridge. The setlist listed "w/ Sabotage bridge [to be retired]" for the song.

    - Sixth time playing at the KROQ Almost Acoustic Christmas (2000, twice in 2001, 2003, 2007 and 2012).

    - The band extended the bridge of 'A Place For My Head'.

    - Mike rapped verse two of 'Until It Breaks' over the intro to 'Waiting For The End'.

    - 'Bleed It Out' featured the Beastie Boys' 'Sabotage' bridge.

    - Sound problems plagued the show for the band. Due to new German legislation saying that the show can't be over 99dBA, the PA wasn't turned up very loud and quite a few fans left during the performance. These limits were not around in 2004 and they were very loose in 2007.

    - A flag by Thomas Eger, given to the band during the LPU M&G, was hung on Mike's keyboard during the show. It featured three fansites, including LPLive, on it. The same flag reappeared two days later at Rock im Park, which was a surprise for Thomas.

    - Both Rock am Ring and Rock im Park sold out months in advance for the first time.

    - The band dropped 'Empty Spaces' and 'When They Come For Me' from the setlist and replaced them with 'In My Remains'. This resulted in the order of songs five through ten changing in the setlist, mainly 'Victimized (w/ QWERTY)' moving down and 'Lies Greed Misery' and 'Points Of Authority' changing places.

    - Mike thanked everyone who helped him sing 'like an army, falling one by one by one' after 'In My Remains' was over.

    - Mike rapped verse two of 'Until It Breaks' over the intro to 'Waiting For The End'.

    - Before 'Lost In The Echo', Mike told everyone to visit linkinpark.com to check out something special for the song.

    - Mike and Chester both sang part of the lyrics to 'Numb/Encore' over the outro of 'Numb'.

    - 'Bleed It Out' featured the Beastie Boys' 'Sabotage' bridge.

    - The band changed the setlist rotation mid-tour at this show, playing US Set A instead of what was next in the rotation - US Set C.

    - Mike rapped verse two of 'Until It Breaks' over the intro to 'Waiting For The End'.

    - Mike and Chester both sang part of the lyrics to 'Numb/Encore' over the outro of 'Numb'.

    - 'Bleed It Out' featured the Beastie Boys' 'Sabotage' bridge. Incubus's guitarist Mike Einziger came out after the 'Sabotage' portion of the bridge and jammed with the band on the song.

    - The band changed the setlist (US Set A) from the previous show the day before in Mansfield, MA by adding a full version of 'Lying From You' after 'Victimized (w/ QWERTY)'. Mike forgot the second verse and instead started rapping the first verse again about halfway through. 'Numb' was moved out of the encore and placed after 'Lost In The Echo'.

    - The intro sample of 'Papercut' was muted at the beginning of the song.

    - Joe messed up the outro of 'New Divide'.

    - After 'New Divide', Mike had the crowd make some noise for Incubus and Mutemath and asked who had the new album Living Things.

    - Mike forgot the second verse of 'Lying From You'. Brad also had guitar problems during this song. Afterward, Mike said "you guys are distracting down here."

    - Mike rapped a verse from 'Until It Breaks' over the intro to 'Waiting For The End'.

    - Joe messed up the intro to 'Numb' at three shows in a row (Uncasville, Mansfield, and Wantagh).

    - Famous tennis player Victoria Azarenka attended the show and met the band beforehand.

    - The weather was bad all day before the show, even raining during MUTEMATH and Incubus. Severe storms rattled NY, NJ, and PA for the entire day. The Music For Relief booth was almost canceled for the day, but instead was moved out of the rain.
