  2. Great performance.

Who was the mope that introduced them??

Do you guys think the video playing on the screen will be the same video used on the background screens during the tour?

that mope was swizz beats(a producer with a few grammy awards under his belt)

I dont know. I did like the stage.

  3. The process of making ATS was just as relaxed as this one was. The only problem was that Warner was giving them shit at the end. I'm sure there were moments like that on this record too, but we've only seen just little parts so far.

EDIT: Btw, I didn't know that there were acoustic drums mixed in with the electronic ones in BID. Good to see Rob actually had some work to do :D

I think with ATS they wanted to show the struggle it took for the band to really experiment and stretch so we got to see everyone step outside their comfort zones and push. Even though this is one video its def more relaxed. Its cool to see Brad doing a session then switching over to Mike.

Now I hear all the guitar parts thanks to that. Mike may be playing guitar and keys and rapping when they do it live. The drums I could already hear them mixed in with the sampled drums. They do a lot of drum replacement(taking recorded drums and changing the sounds)

  4. I don't really think that has much to do with anything.

It has nothing to do with anything. Mixing is just taking what is already been recorded and blending all the frequencies, volume, sounds, etc together. Without mixing. no matter how well written the song is...it would sound like a trainwreck on a recording. Mike knows how to mix himself but its usually better if someone else comes in and mixes and masters because it adds another ear to the record.

The fact that they got the same guy who mixed Justin Bieber's record just means Warner is putting alot of money behind the record..which LP will clearly make back. :D

  5. This is a single. I really like it. but it is definitely a Single. They want everyone to hear the new stuff so putting this out first is probably the right move. It is gonna catch the ear of all types of listeners and fans. The guitars and heavier stuff im sure will be in the album so like all LP albums cant really judge off the single. I do like Mike's rapping though I wish there was a little bit more. Chester's vocals sound great. Still reminds me of New divide production wise.

  6. Sounds a little like new divide and 80'ish. I dont think the rest of the album will sound like this though. it def sounds like a single. I feel like this could be played in a club easily.

also looks like Mike is on keyboard for this song live again :D

  7. Really great performance. Chester's scream on WID gave me chills. Mike has the guitar strapped on high in that video.

New Divide intro is bad ass. They need to do that again. However they should never play that version of Iridescent. From the behind the scenes i can tell they really don't care for it that much. Dave questioning mike about it is really funny

  8. They need to never play the remix of iridescent live ever again. I wish shows in the states we're this big but oh well. the rest of the world general appreciates good music better then in the states. this is no offense to anyone but it seems like you have to be good to play in europe and in the states it more about whats "hot" and popular.

  9. Im in a band. Actually 3 bands. And I can tell you the setlist battle is one of the toughest ones. My band has 6 members and even though at one point we all liked a song. after playing it for a while someone is going to hate it. Sux chester hates breaking the habit lol. Part of it is probably as a singer the lyrics arent relevant to him anymore so he has get into that character for that song which can be hard to do. Then as musicians like joe doesnt wanna play a place for my head even though he does alot of scratching on it. hes just tired of the song. I wish there was a remedy for this but there isnt lol. Thats why you gotta support the new stuff as much as the old stuff cuz it has the same amount of passion just that the band is in a different place.

  10. Im ok with them never performing robot boy live. that song doesnt make or break the set. glad they are a good band and focusing on blackout. I dont see them performing dont stay or qwerty ever again though. maybe in project rev this summer we'll get a nice treat of one old school song but i dont bank on it. I also think the A11 set a really good set

  11. i really dont like papercut first when they keep the speech in. its really bad. needs a better transition for it too work. should just bring back the string intro for papercut and cut requiem. other than that. Setlist A is probably one of their best sets in years. very well rounded. I can see why they arent switching it up too much cuz it covers the whole spectrum of fans and promo.

  12. this actually really excites me. its a great song specially for the winter months and makes me wanna play guitar in the cold snow. its got a nice warm feeling. anyway it has very good single appeal and definitely will do very well. it has a more minutes to midnight feel and many people will like the guitar solo. "iridescent" will def be the best single for the spring. its either "blackout" or "wretches" for the 4th single. im voting blackout but i could be wrong.

  13. +1 for Mike taking the guitar solo in BITS. Brad is probably finger picking during the whole song instead.

yea he is. its probably why mike played the solo. Brad recorded the solo but live mike cant do that finger picking and sing on beat so brad does the rhythm part. this and song and blackout probably took alot of rehearsing to figure only cuz the parts arent so straight forward. really good job in my opinion though i think Brad could of played guitar on Blackout

  14. i dont think they planned to do this till that day. but it wasnt a spur of the moment thing on stage. they gave brad and phoenix the standar eb guitars for the song so it was in the set. very nice surprise for the 10th anniversary. well done. shut everyone up also so they do listen to fans.

  15. fans are never happy for some reason. the set that they are rockin now is probably one of the best they have ever used. im not gonna protest to lp and try to get there attention about a setlist for a show that has so much put into it(lights, video, effects, multiple instruments) everythin has to be planned out well. and thats what they did. it is a world tour and its not just for the fans who have been there forever, they want people to love there music and shows and to do that they need to have consistent shows where they play the songs that people love. if they start rotating set list they will probably do it in the states but i dont see it happening for a while and complaining about it is kinda childish.

  16. i dont expect many old songs except the big singles actually. infact what they played at the release show was exactly what i thought would happen. im actually really glad they cut somewhere i belong lol. poa is gone im sure since they got wretches and kings. lying from u gone and crawling gone cuz i dont think chester wants to that anymore.. one step closer would be gone but management wont allow them to cut it lol...they need to cut breaking the habit n do loatr/remix. i was surprised they still do it..um...with that being said..

burning in the skies and blackout will probably be added to the setlist. i hope they add Not Alone to the set as well cuz that would be cool. dedicate it to haiti and music for relief. leave out all the rest remix would be dope as well.
