  1. I'm wondering when the pre-orders will be up. LT pre-orders went up over 2 months away from the release date. It seems as though LP are running a little late this time around. For example, Ed Sheeran's album which comes out a week after, has been up on iTunes for pre-order.

  2. Even if LP gets the overall bigger vote MTV will lie and say FOB won.

It's clearly evidenced in a lot of the rounds. 30STM had an 80% lead over Echosmith the day before the end of the first round, Echosmith suddenly gets a crapton more votes, because 30STM was a clear contender in the race. Palaye Royale, and unsigned band that literally NO ONE has heard of beats major contender Tokio Hotel, because apparently "people like seeing the underdog win", as said by the lead singer.

If LP does win, that'll be some crazy shit.

You're right, Soul. I honestly think this whole "competition" is fixed. I truly believe that the match between Tokio Hotel and Palaye Royale was fixed. Tokio Hotel had 53% of the vote mins. before the round was over but PR won anyway. They even made up some bs article saying how PR won: http://www.mtv.com/news/articles/1725494/p...h-madness.jhtml

  3. ''Get this bitch earthquakin'' is from In Stereo by Fort Minor. Lol. I love this remix, it's my favorite remix of ALTNC. Don't really care much for the music video, but it's cool, I guess. Waiting impatiently for the music video for GATS.

I'm really hoping that the music video features the full version with Rakim.

  4. A thought occurred to me - what if GATS is like the LGM or Wretches and Kings of this cycle?

I mean, it's definitely hyping the album up, but not with "mainstream" fans. This track was directed to the hardcore fans, who are gonna freak out about it and share it. "Old LP" fans are gonna see it and like it bc they're "back". Three months out, there's already a lot of buzzing around for the new album.

April would be a great time to release a radio friendly single and do the music video and everything for that, like they did with Burn it Down. This would target the people out there who are casual LP fans, along with people who aren't technically LP fans.

    - The single gets traction in April, powerhouse in May with combined Hardcore, Returning (OldLP), and mainstream/new fan audiences.

    - Album releases in June to built up hype. Transformers 4 song also released to promote movie, adds to hype and sales.

Actually, they may pull TF1/WID combo and have just an album song in the movie, combining the two songs I mention.

    This.

  5. Maybe he didn't meant more metal than other songs on the album, but generally other songs they made. That's exactly what he said: "(...)This song in particular is a little more on the metal side than ...a...a... than many of the other tracks(...)"

Seriously doubt the whole album will be in this genre, but who knows? Personally, I believe that the other songs on the album will contain the same type of energy that GATS possesses, but in different styles to create a varied album that is staying true to that aggressive energy throughout the album.

  6. I like this theory.

Even if they aren't apart of TF4, I still think they will release another song before the album.

I remember reading an article that was posted on LPA that stated Linkin Park were in the studio with a representative from Paramount, possibly recording something for Transformers 4. I'm not sure where the article is; maybe someone can dig it up. Also, as good as GATS is, it's only going to find success on mostly actual rock stations. As of now, it's being ignored for the most part on alternative, which is a staple chart for LP. I believe they'll release a more radio friendly single to cater to that audience. Chester did say in one interview that this song is more metal than the other songs on the album so that has me thinking that they'll announce another single the same time they officially announce the album title, artwork, and start accepting pre-orders for the album.

  7. They wouldn't be teasing anything that's not on the album at this point. Maybe six months ago, but not now. The single is going to be out in a matter of days.

Yea, you have a point. I've thought about that, but I was hoping that wasn't the case. Here's hoping that the full song ends up being more than meets the eye.

  8. I'm not digging this preview much. It sounds generic and a step back to me. Sure, maybe this sound is a bit different for LP, but that doesn't make it awesome. I hope this is only a demo, and not an actual song on the album. Yes, it's only an intro, but intros are quite important.

  9. I really want a story driven video similar to something like Shadow of The Day. I've had enough of these damn over-produced videos. It's fine to have special effects, but there's a such thing as going over board to the point in which there's way too much going on, and the end result is a jumbled mess.

  10. Greetings all LP fans,

I have come up with what I believe is a great idea in order to help ALTNC achieve radio success. I understand that this isn't for everyone, but for the fans that are into this kind of thing, like myself, this challenge is for you! I am quite a marketing buff, as I've done quite a few small things to try to get the word out on LP's new material. My plan is to get as many fans as I can to post their local radio stations, including full information on how to contact them to request ALTNC. This includes either the website of the radio station, number, or request line number. I believe that if we get enough fans, we can make a big difference. I will add more radio stations to the main post as they come in. I will begin this challenge with some radio stations that I know of. I hope this idea becomes a success, as I would love to see LP notch another #1.
