Sweet man. How many chucky cheese gold doubloons do I need to see all of the UK shows if I am flying from Dallas, TX? Please include the total to include the price of a round trip as well as the 4 concerts.

  2. ...looks actually gay.

    hopefully this wont happen^^

Yes. I agree. It does look gay... if you were blind and had no idea what something not gay would look like.

if you put chester into a cage like that then their live shows are going down in flames.

This is a good point. But one things for sure, he would be doing one hell of a bunny hop from that.

Muse = best live band in the world

Totally irrelevant to the topic of discussion. GTFO out of the LPL forums you stupid n00b.

  3. First what we are doing is making a mobile version of the site. So you view LPL on a mobile device (iPhone, Blackberry, Droid, etc) and it's all good to go. Very easy to navigate, etc.

Then an app for the iPhone comes after that. Not sure about Droid, etc expansion yet at this point. First priority is the mobile version and we'll go from there.

Just thought I would add in my two cents to clear some things up for everyone. Yes, an LPL Application for your mobile devices are being worked on and YES a mobile site is being worked on. Mark and I have had this on the drawing board for a while now and have been shooting off back and fourth with ideas and designs lately. First thing that is being worked on will be the mobile site. A very fast, lightweight version of the main site. Not heavy on graphics, but still pleasing for the eyes and fast loading. Will work on any phone that can connect to the internet. Perfect for any size screen and phone. Looks BEST on phones with touch screens. The mobile site is pretty much completely designed, however, the actual work is nowhere near complete. Lots of work, but you will all enjoy it.

After we get the mobile site released, I do have intentions on working on applications to download to your smartphones. Any mobile phone running iOS software or Android Software will definatly have this FREE app. I will look into getting it to work for blackberry's as well. Of course, the app will be based all offline. And then, I want to try and get a mobile variant of the forum aswell, so it can load faster on your phones.

There isn't much news to tell you really though. These are all ideas on the drawing board, and they are slowly being produced. Expect the mobile site first, but yes, you can expect ALL of these within the coming months. Any questions can be sent to my PM box, but most information will be between Mark and I (and the staff). We'll release more information when we fell good progress is being made.

  4. I hear ya brother. If a band is a large part of your life, and has meaning to it, why not get some ink? At least that tat would have meaning, over most people getting tats just to get them. I personally wanted to get a deathbat tattoo at one point in my life (A7X) but I thought it would look really cheesy when I get older, or if I were to ever grow out of my A7X addiction phase (hi Hahninator!)

So I just got the albanian eagle instead, haha. Still looks sick! I look forward to seeing anymore ink you get, if you do. I LOVE tattoos.

  5. I'm thinking more of an in-house solution before going to something like that. What happens when shoutcast goes offline?

A stream with a flash interface similar to the LMA on archive.org is what I have in mind.

You set up shoutcast on your own server, so if it goes offline, it's yours (not yours per-say, but your servers) fault. :P. Shoutcast also can be used in nearly any flash interface. You can also open it in iTunes, Winamp, Windows Media Player, etc, at any time.

Just an idea. Obviously LPL may do what they want, but I just thought I'd throw this suggestion in as I am familiar with it all. :P.

Edit: There are also some badass code snippets for shoutcast that allow you to see how many listeners are tuned in, what's currently playing, etc, even BEFORE they tune in. Don't like the song? Don't need to tune in. :P.

I would also go against anything flash related. Keep it simple with the media players.

  6. Done. I'm making this one happen.

As far as the LPL Radio thing, this is something that I've discussed with Mark. Fairly easy to set up in theory, but there could be some issues with it as it would take a fair amount of space for hosting as well as bandwidth to keep it working.

    Not if you use shoutcast.
