After months of speculation, Fort Minor's return has been confirmed! Mike has created Instagram, Twitter and Facebook pages for FM and even taken over a fan's YouTube to become the "new, official FM channel." Yesterday, Mike liked our LPLive Facebook status from the Fort Minor account as well.

On June 22nd, Fort Minor will perform on Conan O'Brien. For those of you in California, tickets can be obtained here. Conan's website says, "We love Fort Minor so much, we started a tribute band in their honor called Underage Citadel. We don't want to brag, but we're pretty terrible." The show is right in the middle of the current Linkin Park "tour", coming one day before their show in Mexico City.

This will be the first FM performance since Summer Sonic 2006; you can view our Fort Minor tour page here. While Fort Minor has played other TV shows before, this will be their first appearance on Conan.

Many questions now arise, such as "what will they perform?" or "what will the lineup be for FM?" and sadly, none of those questions can be answered until the performance takes place. We don't know if Mike, Ryu, Tak, Cheapshot, and more will be on stage, if it's just Mike by himself, or if it's an all new lineup. Don't be surprised, though, if we get some new music!

So, I looked at the board... Damn, only 10 songs? It seems like they chose that bunch of songs and just worked on them. First is GATS, then UIG and other songs that we saw on the board. I was kind of "Oh, that's strange". At 3:39 mostly perfectly viewable amount of songs (right column - notes)

What the hell is going on? The only reason that I even can imagine... Minsk Arena can contain 15,000 people, and Olympisky Arena can contain 35,000 people.

If you're referring to live performances, yes. Joe's backing vocals are clearly audible during the last chorus of WFTE on most performances, for example (he does the higher harmony that doubles Mike's vocal line). There are numerous instances on ATS/Living Things songs where they're singing ALONG with a backing track, but they're never lip syncing.

 

Studio-wise, most of the vocals are layers of Mike and Chester. Other members (including Rob, who doesn't do any vocals live) sing studio backing vocals for the gang vocal sections of Hands Held High, Iridescent, The Catalyst, The Messenger, In My Remains, Lies Greed Misery, All for Nothing, and Guilty All the Same. Not all gang vocal sections include all 6 members, but there are at least 4 of them any time they do them.

Remember MTV's version of EMA 2010 - Phoenix's "Hey!" over W&K and WTFCM are clear and even louder that on ATS+. What was difficult to hear... TLTGYA - so quite.

If I remember correctly, there was a Fort Minor song in Karate Kid trailer, or the movie itself.

 

Also was Numb/Encore really in the Miami Vice movie, or only in the trailer?
