  1. I actually know what it is. But since I don't want to fuck up the one who told me, I won't tell anything. Just think more simple, guys.

Any yet, by posting this you've already done that person a disservice. There are a limited number of people who know, so it won't be impossible to figure out who might be giving up the information.

  2. Guys - Mark never intended this to become a guessing game or to torture you any further about this exclusive that we promised to you far too long ago. Those of us staff members who know the details are extremely disappointed that we've not been able to deliver on a promise that we made and we won't rest until we make it right.

That said, my own personal feeling on this one is mixed. There's been a lot of things that have gotten in the way so far and while I'd like to say that there's a light at the end of the tunnel when it comes to a release, the fact of the matter is that we're only baby steps past where we were months ago in terms of bringing it to you all.

Rest assured - this isn't the last exclusive we'll bring to you. I think our track record speaks for itself over the years when it comes to things like this. Even if things fall through on this one, we'll have something down the line mind-boggling for you to download and enjoy.

  3. The whole point of a forum is to read what was posted before you and add your opinion afterward. There's no way a forum can function if noone else reads what others post.

If I hadn't grown attached to my current sig, this would so be added to it.

Double post for bump-age: Added link to part 1 of the Radio 1 broadcast.

  4. lol? I only said this because it tooks for me 30 hours to download and if you had encoded this in x264 it would only be 200mb or even smaller!!!

To all the people who said that megaupload is better than rapidshare, on rapidshare can you get definitily a better speed than 40-60kb/s like on the lame megaupload. Or why is rapidshare the worlds biggest filehoster in the internet when megaupload is better?!?!?

But thats all offtopic, I thank you to share this nice (I hope xD I didn't get it anyway :( ) recording with all the lplive members but I only ASKED, I thought someone is so nice to upload it to RS.com :(

But now forget it, but if I'm ready with download (maybe next year xD) I will encode it in x264 and upload it on RS.com to show you nkramar what is possible with the best HD codec :P

As a trader and collector, I prefer to archive the original transport stream as do many others. Could I have uploaded it after encoding to x264? Sure. But then people would have requested the original .ts file anyway.

Take a look at the past releases we've done here on LPLive - we prefer flac over mp3, DVD over rips, etc. What you choose to do with the file once you've downloaded is up to you. As I inferred before, I don't have the time or resources to predict everyone's preference of where and how it should be uploaded.

  5. Why is this not in x264? This is too big for megaupload (bad filehoster)...

Can someone please upload it to RapidShare.com?

Maybe you'd like me to encode with every known codec and then upload to every known file host and torrent site? I'll be sure to check with you next time before I share something like this to get your approval.

  6. Well i have 1 source (Simon) of the show, just a question of time till the others will come out for public.

Depends on your definition of 'public', IMO. Seems that many traders aren't trading at this point and, as a result, almost nothing is circulating from this year.

Add to that the relative anonymity of a couple of tapers (the one known as 'dbsgermany' on YouTube comes to mind) and it's frustrating knowing these sources exist and no one other than a handful of people have them.

    2 cents>

  7. No, BIO in only 1 track

Did you even bother listening to them?

They both suffer from the same issue - Because the tracks on the CDs are incorrect, I edited them and fixed them. On the original CDs (and therefore your uploads), the tracklist appears to be this:

    13 - Hands Held High

    14 - Crawling

    15 - In The End

    16 - Bleed It Out

When in reality, the audio for each is actually:

    13 - Hands Held High > Crawling

    14 - In The End

    15 - Bleed It Out (pt 1)

    16 - Bleed It Out (pt 2)

    Which I Fixed to be:

    13 - Hands Held High > Crawling

    14 - In The End

    15 - Bleed It Out

  8. HD is already on torrents.ru :)

    Tracklist

    01. Metallica - Hit the Lights

    02. Alice in Chains - Dam that River

    03. Machine Head - Struck a Nerve

    04. Machine Head - Halo

    05. Limp Bizkit - My Generation

    06. Limp Bizkit - Break Stuff

    07. Linkin Park - Somewhere I Belong

    08. Linkin Park - In The End

    09. Metallica - Fade To Black

    ;)

This is part 2, part 1 has yet to be uploaded AFAIK.

  9. Having been released in mp3 format not long ago, we figured people may want an upgrade, so here are the Summer Sonic shows in flac format.

We're offering them via Rapidshare download at the moment. If anyone can set up direct download mirrors, it would be greatly appreciated.

    Osaka:

    PART 1

    PART 2

    PART 3

    PART 4

    PART 5

    PART 6

    Chiba:

    PART 1

    PART 2

    PART 3

    PART 4

    PART 5

    PART 6

These are taken directly from the CDs being sold by various bootleggers in Japan. The only editing done was to merge Bleed It Out into a single track, which had to be done for both shows, as for some unexplained reason it was cut in half.

    Enjoy!

Thanks to everyone who came out for last night's Glorious Excess (Dies) opening; images of everything are on the way today.

In the preview video for GLXS, some of you noticed a song by Metric in there. I mentioned the band Metric a long time ago...http://www.mikeshinoda.com/comments/recommended_music-music_business/metric_talks_about_self_releasing_album...and some of you know I like their music. Their album "Fantasies" contains a song called "Gold Guns Girls." When I first heard it, I thought: this is like a theme song for Glorious Excess!

Well, I contacted the band, and (to make a long story short) I remixed the song. With their blessing, it's now on the "music" page here on mikeshinoda.com http://www.mikeshinoda.com/music

If you like this song, check the band out at http://www.ilovemetric.com/. The band will be making the song available to fans soon...but you're getting the exclusive here first!

Source here. Head on over to the 'Music' page for the actual track. Sendspace mp3 download provided by Neil: Here.

  11. I'm not familiar with that one for some reason. Is that the little interlude the played at Rock Im Park, and Rock am Ring?

Unless I'm mistaken, that refers to a song that had a string section recorded for MTM but didn't make it to the album.

  12. Yeah... A "extra" for donator is not necessary. The donation is a support to a site we love. Not for extra extras.... or to get mentioned.....

At the very least, we'll be identifying donators in one way or another. Just like we've given Contributors special status on the forums (those whose usernames show up as orange), those who donate money would be identified.
