works
damn is that all the crap security took? lol
Shit. That's what it looks like. That is why I'm glad my camera has a wrist strap. Slip it on, under a long sleeve shirt, and you're golden. Security NEVER has patted my arms, I always hold them up.

Yes everyone keep asking for multitracks so we know who to ban considering they are illegal to share now
^^^ Did ANYONE read this?!?! ^^^ Boy, this herd is about to get thin.
EDIT: 500th post! Woot!
-
Your post(s) are always full of win. That is a pretty damn good way to look at it
Thanks!
Also, another thing is that with a pointed stage, more people are allowed to be on the front row. Also, the band has less area to cover to get from stage left to stage right, which mean a more energetic show!
-
Sweet stage! Looks a lot like the one from the KROQ Breakfast (probably is). It has a pointed front, like a diamond or triangle, instead of a normal, flat front stage. It also looks like a bigger screen backdrop than what was seen at the KROQ show.
EDIT: I just made a connection! Triangle Stage - Trinity Symbol - Trinity Nuclear Bomb Testing - Nuclear War - Theme of A Thousand Suns (Nuclear Destruction)
Probably looking into it too deep, but pretty sweet nevertheless.

From what I posted in the other thread,
According to what lnknchrs posted in this thread, here are the US times that the show will start:
Eastern - 2:00pm
Central - 1:00pm
Mountain - 12:00 Noon
Pacific - 11:00am
-
Just go and listen to it, it sounds the same, Grecian must be the demo of ASP.
Wow. They do sound really similar. I never realized that, thanks!
-
If what lnknchrs said is correct, then here are the US times that the show will start:
Eastern - 2:00pm
Central - 1:00pm
Mountain - 12:00 Noon
Pacific - 11:00am
-
Agreed. It would have been ideal to announce earlier. If we could have, we would have. There's A LOT that goes into planning an event like this. We've been working non-stop on this for weeks now. Since we now know a little better how to do something like this, it will hopefully be easier to announce stuff like this further ahead of time in the future.
Your awesome. Thanks for always giving us info and helping us understand the inner workings of the LPU. Can't wait to hear more about this.
-
But that's not always the case. There's been a case where Charlotte 2007 had the exact same audio file for Breaking The Habit as a Texas show. They commonly fix problems by the band...see New Divide at Grafen in 2009. NOT fixing them is actually kinda rare.
Shit. That sucks. Then Metallica's way is kinda better. You get a 100% true performance Soundboard Rip. That's a better way to relive it and remember it later down the road.
-
This is great! Now if we get this in the US, hopefully a West Coast and East Coast (probably just West Coast), that would be awesome. Q&A, M&G, and a jam session?....Awesome Sauce.
-
I agree with Pooch. Every DSP I have sounds great and he keeps it unedited. On the Nashville 2008 show, Chester messed up Valentine's Day. It wasn't reworded or edited in anyway and it sounded perfect. I'll wait for it.
-
This was a sweet watch! I really enjoyed it.

For anyone who can't see it...

The song I relate to the most is "Walking in Circles". A lot of times I am afraid to say what actually needs to be said or ask what needs to be asked. This song made me realize that not only is it unhealthy, but also paralyzing to your mind to not pry at life's mysteries and riddles. It limits what you know or what experiences you may have in life. If I have a question now, I ask it. If I have a statement now, I say it. Life is too short to sleep through it. I no longer walk in circles, I walk straight ahead, in hopes of finding better and more exciting things than I have had in the past.
I also believe it is one of the best written songs on the album because it has a deep message to the people who are "Walking in Circles" and to the people who aren't. It is a awakening for the people who "walk in circles". It is also a cry for help to the people who are awake, to help the people who are sleeping.

DA-YU-MN! The Radiance 2.0 kicks some major ass. Mike singing plus the scratching on the Oppenhiemer speech is perfect. Thanks for these Pro-Shots!
This also answers the question (kinda), if Mike actually sings on The Requiem live. If he sounds like that here, I guess he could on that song. From the videos I have seen, I can't even tell if Mike is on stage while The Requiem plays. Anyone want to confirm?
-
I mean no "Thank You!" by LP last night
OH! Okay! lol. The band stays a good bit after WID and Chester blows kisses at the fans and throws picks at them.
-
I even didn't saw one single "Thank You!" on the videos. Absolutely nothing
Thank you for the videos! And thanks to anyone else who has posted videos!
-
here's a full video of When They Come For Me :
THANKS! Brad at the end with the Megaphone is so bad ass!
-
I would also add to the show notes:
15. The Radiance (Piano Version)
- New guitar pieces were played during the verses on "Given Up".
- During "Breaking The Habit", Chester jumped into the crowd.
- "The Messenger" was done in a lower key than what is on the album version, probably so Chester could handle it live.
-

This video looks spectacular and it has a story to it. From JoeHahn.com:
The clip is an experiment in making the most digital version of ourselves in the spirit of the visual palette of A Thousand Suns. If you have been following our visuals throughout this album, this is the next step in our journey. I wanted to push ourselves so far down the digital path that it eventually felt spiritual. As we live our lives in the digital noise of today, we can find our center of humanity in the midst of the chaos. This is my illustration of that. I hope you enjoy this clip as we do.
I'm not gonna say it is my favorite, but it is up there. I love the visuals and the story behind it. It also helps that I love the song and think it is perfect for a single. Awesome job LP and specifically, Joe Hahn.
