  1. You mean typical american?

O_- Nationality bias? There's a lot of it on the down low here. Its a shame considering this is an American forum for an American band. I'd rather look at at like we are all people, and all people have the ability to suck. Branding millions of people on stereotypes is short sighted either way. Sorry if I'm out of line.

The Third Encore tracks are rather boring I thought. Although I think What I've Done from AOL Sessions was decent, lol.

  2. I love how every time something new is posted, everyone starts yelling fake, yet 98% of the time its real. Go figure, lol. It seems to be real since apparently 'Waiting For The End' is the next single, but we shall see I suppose.

I love Runaway, but Easier To Run is better. Runaway was played a lot more than Easier To Run, so its obvious what song needs to be played again. I vote Easier To Run.

E2R needs some serious love. I mean wasn't only performed...once?

Its one of the most original songs on Meteora & would go so well with the MTM songs.

Plus it has no screaming, and should be easy on chesters voice. Its a power ballad, compared to the nu-metalness that was runaway. Plus Chester hates Runaway now, so this is no contest! XD

This is exactly what I was thinking... This song fits pretty well with MTM songs, so it definitely should have been played in the last tour cycle. I do understand why it wasn't though.

    Favorite LP album? - Meteora

Meteora basically took LP's awesome style in that era, and refined it, and expanded it a bit. The results were awesome. With songs like Don't Stay, Lying From You, Easier To Run, Faint, Figure.09, Breaking The Habit, From The Inside, and Nobody's Listening Meteora simply has an edge on the other LP albums. Minutes to Midnight is far more diverse, but this album is old school and is simply the best showing of LP's old school style.

Favorite LP song? - And One

I remember when I was still a new LP fan back in February 2001 when I first heard this. I was absolutely in love with Hybrid Theory at the time. Anyway, I was curious to see how these guys sound live, so I punched "Linkin Park live" into Limewire and a bunch of songs I've never heard of popped up among the usual suspects. 'And One' was one of them, and its been my most consistent favorite LP track since. For me, And One is my definitive Linkin Park song.

    Favorite LP lyrics? - Blackbirds

This question was challenging to answer. I've connected to 99% of the lyrics in all LP material, and therefore, like them all for different reasons. I could almost say I can't answer this question, but instead I went with Blackbirds. I connected to it almost immediatly, but it was a slow process getting to know this song. Overall, out of recent material, this song gets it.

Favorite Hybrid Theory song? - Forgotten

Just such an old style LP track. With traces of early Hybrid Theory and even Xero influence, this song is likely the oldest track LP wrote that has been officially released worldwide. You can just hear it in the song composition and the lyrics. I love it personally, and I wish they'd play it live again...

    Favorite Meteora song? - Figure.09

Who honestly doesn't love Figure.09? When I first heard Somewhere I Belong on the radio in 2003, I was disappointed as I didn't really like the song, and never really have. But when I heard all of Meteora, I realized how awesome it was, and I always played this song right here the most.

Favorite Minutes to Midnight Song? - In Pieces

Minutes to Midnight was so diverse compared to every album before it. It made this a difficult choice. I chose In Pieces because of the mood the song sets. I love the way the song was done, and I thought it was very unique for LP at the time, considering the lyrics, instrumental, and guitar solo of course! Over 50% of Minutes to Midnight has already been dropped from my playlists (more than any other main studio album), but I gaurantee this song isn't going anywhere anytime soon.

Favorite Live CD? - Pssh, their live releases mostly suck, I pick Rock Am Ring 2004.

Live in Texas was decent, but Road to Revolution sucked, I don't care what anyone says, haha. Everyone knows Rock am Ring, and most beleive it shoudl have been LP's first live release. I agree, because with an awesome setlist, less editing (I'm looking at you slow motion), and a huge high energy crowd, this show simply rocks.

Least Favorite LP album? - Hybrid Theory

Listen, let me start by saying I LOVE Hybrid Theory. It's the first LP album I heard . But since I was forced to pick one, I had to go with this. Although Hybrid Theory has its own little quirks, Meteora is a better album, and very similar in a lot of ways. Minutes to Midnight is awesome because of the evolution of their style and because of its diversity. And The Hybrid Theory EP is too awesome to get any least favorite reward, haha. I love this album, but think its a tad weaker than everything else.

Least Favorite LP song? - Crawling

This song is cool, but it was the most over played song amongst my group of friends for a time in 2001 (although In The End was just as prevalent). I hate the way this comes across live, and I've just heard this song to much to enjoy it anymore. Just overall my least favorite on Hybrid Theory and frequently skipped when I listen to live material. The Reanimation version is really awesome though.

Least Favorite LP lyrics? - Cure For The Itch

There are only a few lyrics in the song. While they are great, I am attempting to use this song the bypass having to pick an actual full song, haha.

Least Favorite Hybrid Theory song? - Crawling

For the same reasons its my least favorite overall LP song.

Least Favorite Meteora song? - Numb

This song is my least favorite song Meteora for the exact same reasons as Crawling is on Hybrid Theory. Although this song sounds better live, it has been a staple in their live shows, and has simply worn on me. They need to change it around next tour or simply drop it. Seems unlikely unfortunately.

Least Favorite Minutes to Midnight song? - Shadow of the Day

Out of every Linkin Park song released, this one fell from my playlist the fastest. Not that its a bad song, but I think the end is kind of annoying with the super high guitar solo and the repeated chorus. This makes it come out awful live at times, and for that, its my least favorite.

  5. The Professor says:

Well, Figure.09 obviously. With You is really awesome, and I do want to hear that live again.... But even with its crazy scratching sample chaos, it doesn't beat Figure.09. Figure.09 is my favorite Meteora track, and in my top 5 favorite LP songs.

    First show back.

    01. New Divide

    02. Lying From You

    03. No More Sorrow

    04. The Catalyst

    05. What I've Done

    06. Numb

    07. [New Song]

    08. Wake

    09. Given Up

    10. Leave Out All The Rest

    11. [New Song]

    12. Breaking The Habit

    13. In The End

    14. Blackbirds (Wishful thinking; unlikely, it will probably be Crawling instead)

    15. Faint

    ------------

    16. Bleed It Out

    17. [New Song]

    18. One Step Closer

  7. As Astat pointed out, 'Pretend to Be' is still fresh, which will likely give it an edge. I'll try to remain unbiased in that regard, but I think 'Across The Line' could have have knocked at least three or four MtM tracks off the album and take its place. Knowing this, I still like 'Pretend to Be' better and it will receive my vote. 'Across The Line' may be a better song, but I prefer 'Pretend to Be'

  8. The Professor says:

This is probably my favorite of all the songs released since MtM. (Except Blackbirds)

I love how the song is mellow, and the guitar riff is unique for Linkin Park, and I'm enjoying it. It's a pretty simple song, but that doesn't mean it's not good.

  9. The Professor says:

If it's either songs going back to the Xero/Pre-Linkin Park days, or unreleased b-sides from the Hybrid Theory era, The Professor will be very pleased indeed. I doubt it will be either, and hopefully will be something unique and special that fans will appreciate. How about a 10 song CD of exclusive material written exclusively for the LPU? Even though nothing like that is LPU exclusive anymore.

  10. Hidden Track

As great as it is, I feel like it was hidden for a reason, haha. I like every song on HTEP more. I think technique is really awesome, despite how short it is... Too bad it looks like that will likely go first. Here's hoping And One wins... I think it has a pretty good chance. All I know is I doubt that the Hidden Track, Step Up, or High Voltage are going to win.

  11. The Professor says:

This is the most logical and best flowing tracklist in my opinion. (Adding the tracks you mentioned; and a twist at the end just because)

    1. Wake

    2. Given Up

    3. Across The Line

    4. Blackbirds

    5. Leave Out All The Rest

    6. In Pieces

    7. Bleed it Out

    8. No Roads Left

    9. What I've Done

    10. Announcement Service Public

    11. QWERTY

    12. Hands Held High

    13. No More Sorrow

    14. Valentine's Day

    15. Not Alone

    16. In Between

    17. Shadow of the Day

    18. The Little Things Give You Away

    --------

    19. Lockjaw (Bonus Track)

    20. New Divide (Bonus Track)

    ...

However, it should be noted that The Professor prefers to arrange all of the LP material released between Minutes to Midnight and A Thousand Suns in this order. Sort of an EP between MtM and ATS if you will...

    01. Blackbirds

    02. She Couldn't (Thanks LPL!)

    03. Across The Line

    04. Pretend To Be

    05. Not Alone

    06. Lockjaw

    07. New Divide

  12. #1 - And One: I remember when I was still a new LP fan back in February 2001 when I first heard this. I was absolutely in love with Hybrid Theory at the time. Anyway I was curious to see how these guys sound live, so I punched "Linkin Park" into Limewire and a bunch of songs I've never heard of popped up among the usual suspects. 'And One' was one of them, and its been my most consistent favorite LP track since. For me, And One is my definitive Linkin Park song.

#2 - Blackbirds: When I first heard this song, I wasn't too big on it to be honest. But after a few days I found myself listening to it more and more. As of right now, I play this song and 'The Catalyst' the most of their entire discography. I love the structure and melody of this song, and the lyrics really hit home for me.

#3 - Figure.09: Who honestly doesn't love Figure.09? When I first heard Somewhere I Belong on the radio in 2003, I was disappointed as I didn't really like the song, and never really have. But when I heard all of Meteora, I realized how awesome it was, and I always played this song right here the most.
