They said the "fun to play live" thing for LT and for THP and look how that's turned out.

When ATS came out they said they'd have difficulty translating it to a live setting and played pretty much the whole thing. So I think it's just better to not listen to anything they say when it comes to this stuff

It's so fucking frustrating to have been a fan of Linkin Park for such a long time and read these comments. Not just in this thread about this particular song, but in almost every thread with new music in it.

 

Linkin Park tried so hard to break out of the nu-metal stigma in 2007 and they did. But somehow, they've still managed to keep these fans who only accept the first few albums and consider everything else to be shit. 8 years later and you still read these comments.

 

I personally get extremely offended when I go on a website that is supposed to be a ''fan-site'' and have to read comments by the creator of the site that this is ''downright garbage'' just because he doesn't like it. Music is fucking subjective. Just because you don't like something doesn't mean that someone as doesn't.

 

I happen to really enjoy this song. Mike and Chester did a great job and I enjoy both of the collaborations they have done with Steve Aoki. I wish they would do more with Steve, to be honest.

 

Linkin Park is a band that isn't afraid to take chances and expand themselves and I love that about them. I just don't love the fact that there are still these type of people that are fans of the band. If you don't like it, that's fine. But you don't need to say that it's ''downright garbage'' just because it's not something that you personally enjoy. It just seems weird to see someone who is the creator of a fan-site for Linkin Park saying that.

Dude stop getting so offended. You are entitled to enjoy this song as much as someone else is entitled to hate the entire thing. Nobody here has even mentioned nu-metal. Not liking this song doesn't mean someone wants nu-metal back. If you like it, enjoy it, listen to it.

I actually think it's pretty catchy. I only like the verses and chorus though...the rest is boring

As much as I love the channel (and all of Chris's channels) it's all Mike's stuff that's up there so surely offering a free pass to a Linkin Park show is a pretty nice gesture, no?

That's wild if the UK gets shut out and all these other countries get a show. But they still have at least one more show...no Summit show yet.

 

Interesting that the tour starts with 3 festivals and ends with 2.

I'm not really sure what shows they would play here (UK). I think most of the festivals have their line ups or aren't the type of festival you'd see LP at. They just did a UK tour of (some of) the main arenas this past November so I don't really expect us to be getting a show so soon but then again they played all those German shows in November too and they're getting shows announced.

I can understand people's frustration but people seem to think they can tell chester how he should live his life or something. Imagine breaking your leg and having a bunch of people talking shit about you because you're not in a wheelchair performing for them. You know they are giving out refunds! It's not LP's fault that hotels and airlines don't give refunds

You need a ton of rest with broken bones. I broke my foot a couple years back, it took 12 months to heal! Taking care of yourself is the most important. It'd be too much of a strain on him to do an entire tour.

For the past 6 months, all I've seen here is constant complaining that LP isn't playing APFMH live anymore. Seriously it got to the point that it made me not want to visit this site anymore. Now the band finally listens, adds it back into the set and people still complain. No one here is ever satisfied. You people complain like little babies over things that don't even matter. Whether you guys like the songs or not, LP is putting on a great show. They care more about the people at the concert being satisfied rather than some babies complaining on a message board. I was there at Orlando and every person I talked to at the show including myself had an amazing time. Out of the 6 LP shows I've been to, this has been their best performance I've seen yet. Stop trying so hard to be "elitists" about this band. We all listen to one of the most popular bands in the world. We're not special.

I don't even like APFMH or From The Inside that much at all.

I'm actually pretty content with the selection of songs they've been using for these sets over the past couple of legs of the tour (although as an ATS fanboy, I'd like more of that back in ). My one complaint has just been about shortened songs.
