Dude, its the special from MTV Italy. xD
Its not the source that xdespisedkidx released here...
Oh, sorry, was mistaken
I've renamed the source in the OP as "source 3" to avoid this^ sort of confusion with the source 2 (MTV) on the show page
-
LOL why did you reencoded mp2 to mp3? I mean mp2 is widely supported as mp3.
there are so many versions of this show and several sources being discussed in this one thread alone - I'm getting my wires crossed!
right..
source 1i (Hugin33) in 320 mp3 (zipped to 219.6 MB)

before Faint, Chester mentioned that he had recently undergone laser eye surgery, which meant he could "fucking see everybody here! the first time in fourteen years I've ever been able to see anyone! and that's fucking cool!"

I often forget corrections is separate to this thread, sorry about that!

I personally would like a sound similar to the Yesternumb/MTM/beginning of ATS era of LP. Basically not as heavy but quality songs with a more mature outlook.
I think I agree. I don't think they'll continue with making a point of how "aggressive" or "visceral" they can be, but I wonder if they'll work with more political themes for album 7.
NMS or W&K-style

unfortunately this copy has a variable bit rate, and I don't have the flacs to upgrade to 320.
nevertheless, this needed re-uploading. -
If the guitars on Victimized were actually audible
audible [ˈɔːdɪb(ə)] adjective: 1. able to be heard. "some ultrasound is audible to dogs"
synonyms: perceptible, discernible, detectable, hearable, able to be heard
do you just hear chester and the drum parts? no guitar at all?
-
if someone has already an audio rip that's all I want.
If not feel free to create a thread in the video sectionb with original files then I can rip the audio by myself.
ok, I understand - wasn't sure if this was posted to the right section.
by the way -
A list of stuff that is known to be "out there" in our community, that hasn't been circulated.
TAP = Uncirculated at all, only the Taper has it.

Is there any chance that we will get some proshots from this tour?
will Rock In Rio USA be webcasted?
i know it's not strictly this "tour" but the setlist's likely to stay the same for it.

Yeah, 'Devil's Drop' definitely is very folky, you're right. Another folky song they had was 'Three Band Terror' on LPU13. We all know it ended up at the end of 'UNTIL IT BREAKS' on the album, but the original demo for it was very folky. Mike said that they kept the first verse and first chorus of 'CASTLE OF GLASS' the same on the album as it was on the original demo, and that part of the song has the folky feel, too. 'SKIN TO BONE' and 'ROADS UNTRAVELED' you can definitely tell had folky origins as you said, but it seems like they wanted to make all these folky songs sound heavier and they added heavy guitar and beats to these. I bet LP has a lot of folky shit lying around from 2011-2012. That period of the band really intrigues me...
exactly, I'd be interested to hear some more of the stuff that was "beefed up" for the album versions.

Is it just me or does it seem like no one is going to this tour? Usually you will see a lot more hype and a lot of hardcore LP fans talking about the upcoming shows, etc. It seems like a lot of the hardcore fans won't be able to make it to this tour because of the locations that LP chose. I will admit, the cities on this tour are a bit weird for a band of LP's nature, naturally I would assume they would be playing places like Boston, Madison Square Garden, Staples Center, etc. The band seems to be pretty excited for this tour, well at least Mike seems to be. I can't wait for it... I actually love the opening bands and LP is rumored to be adding a new song from THP to the set.
It's always loke this. Especially for a "second" tour. Things will pick up next week as we get closer to the beginning of the tour.
from what I see, it's mostly people from CA asking for extra dates..
the locations do seem a little weird, i don't know about the specific cities but
- 11 years since last time in Iowa
- 14 years since last time in Rhode Island
this is certainly not a normal tour for LP

'Devil's Drop' is also pretty good, but not my favorite, I have to be in the right mood to listen to it.
what I really like about Devil's Drop is that it captures what I felt was missing from Living Things.
I remember lots of talk of folk-orientated/-originated songs during LT's hype stage, and alot of those pre-release reviews where the word "americana" kept popping up. (like the "visceral" thing that's hung around the THP promo)
Devil's Drop itself sounds like one of those slightly morbid old west pioneer's ballads - brother fell protecting us, somewhere far from home, lay him down to rest with us, in fields of earth and cold - the whole track just sounds really exposed and humble.
American pioneers were the god-fearing type, so anything vaguely weird or inexplicable that they found was named because it was the devil's doing; Devil's Punch Bowl, and Devil's Tower for example (seriously, there isn't a state in the US without at least one devil-themed place name). The name and style just fit together quite nicely.
I can see why "Warm Spell" was left at the wayside (for fear of over-using the folk-theme) but while Roads Untravelled and UIB part 3 have a folk undertone, I personally felt like the specific americana theme wasn't very accurate in relation to LT.
I am definitely putting way too much thought into a song from a movie soundtrack, but a previously unused demo sounds more like the album's hype suggested, than the album did itself.

The Last Line reminds me of In Between, stylistically. nice to be able to hear an "old" era even after being re-purposed for something entirely different.
really enjoying Devil's Drop too.
