The song has gotten better now with more listens. Still some certain parts that sound mainstream like New Divide. I know it will just get better each time though and hopefully we will have a high quality version soon to judge it even better. In some ways, I'm kind of glad that the song ended up being sixth string song. And even though some people are saying it wouldn't fit in with the rest of M2M (which may be true), it does sound a bit similar to Valentine's Day. Not just the tone of Chester's singing, but the guitar sounds similar also. I already like it better than Valentine's Day though which was my least favorite from M2M.

Agreed. It's good but it wouldn't have flowed with MTM.

didn't you see the new lputv video from the other testing events? Mike called in and when someone asked wether blackbirds is from Minutes to Midnight recording process or not Mike said it's brand new. So I think it's not the 6th string song.

Hey Spike, from what you heard, did Blackbirds have any guitar in it, even a tiny bit? Some people were wondering about this after hearing the preview. Obviously, it's supposed to be a string song (most likely) so I wouldn't be surprised if there is no guitar but...maybe?

LP should do 21+ USA-only chats, and International all-ages chats. Or best: an LPlive only chat!

 

It would present a great opportunity to avoid stupid questions and "come to my country" spamming. Kidding. Kind of. Cool that Mike is becoming more active with the fan interaction, though I don't see it lasting too long. After 10 minutes he just gets flooded with 95% stupidity.
