    Linkin Park confirmed Rock am Ring / Rock im Park 2012

    Linkin Park are confirmed for Rock am Ring / Rock im Park 2012 from 1st to 3rd June! They will be playing there along with other bands like Metallica, Machine Head and many others.

     

    Tickets are already for sale for 160€ (RaR) / 155€ (RiP) for the 3 day festival ticket.

    This is yet to be officially confirmed the band.

    Update:

     

    We're excited to hit the road again this summer. Our first announced tour date of 2012 is Rock am Ring in Nürburg, Germany this June. It will be our first time playing the festival in 5 years, and we're glad to be back.

    This will be the first time LP takes a day off between the Rock am Ring and Rock im Park shows; usually they are performed on back-to-back days (2001 and 2007, and the canceled 2003 shows).

    Even if it's already annoying to some people here, I have to say again that it's very weak how they miss the crowd talk nowadays.

    My first show in Berlin 2008 was just freaking mindblowing. I mean, LP came out, played down their (fucking awesome) set and you could REALLY see that they were amazed and motivated by the crowd. They talked shitloads at this show and not just general sentences like "You're awesome" and so on. This concert will ALWAYS stay in my mind and that is because of the freaking awesome atmosphere and the mood that LP put on. In 2009, 2010 and 2011 that has really changed. IF they are saying something, it's just like "Thank you guys for coming", "You were awesome tonight" and all this general shit. I'm not saying that their concerts are weak or that they don't really want to play but if you leave the venue you don't have this "OMFG that was the best show of my life" feeling that a 2007/8 show gives you.

     

    Watch Corey Taylor of Slipknot perform, he talks really really much at every show and every speech is just out of his mind. Sure, every second word he says is "fucking" but in my opinion that makes the crowd even go more rage. He got his own strategy to get the crowd fucking pumped, if he thinks they are not loud enough he is like "I SAID ARE YOU FUCKING READY?" and then everybody is fucking freaking out. Watch a Slipknot show and you will know what I mean.

    Linkin Park have been added to the rumors for the Rock Am Ring Festival 2012 in Nürburg, Germany by ringrocker.com, the community of the festival. Bands are being added by admins who got words on the possible Line Up so the chance that these rumors are legit is pretty high.

     

    That would probably mean that there is a tour coming in 2012!

     

    Guess we'll have to wait for confirmations by the band or festival.

    Nice lineup nonetheless.

    It doesn't make sense in any case, it's more a dream lineup with all my favourite bands :)

    - you don't annunce any new show avaiable

    - you dont' contribute to anything (I'm don't interest in any lame excuse you want to say)

    Sorry Astat... you can't have the best setlist ever unless Figure.09 is played. 17 times in a row.

    You and your fucking Figure.09, it's so annoying man!

    I have to say it again, the hype about that song is just completely bullshit. It's not THAT better than other songs.

     

    And about the setlist, well, somehow I'm happy that they played CFTI because I love this instrumental but on the other hand this is like a "confirmation" we likely won't ever see QWERTY, With You or songs like that again. I mean, if they wanted to play these, last night would have been THE chance to.
