They'd be better off doing Uproar Tour instead of Mayhem.
-
It's a work. They don't want to tour.
-
Been wanted to see them do shows like this for awhile now. Consider this is a 3 day festival, I assume LP will play Day 1. The main stage lineups for all three days will probably look like:
Linkin Park
Rise Against
Papa Roach
Of Mice & Men
Tech N9ne
In This Moment
Hollywood Undead
Slipknot
Marilyn Manson
Volbeat
Ministry
In Flames
Apocalyptica
Hatebreed
Judas Priest
Godsmack
Breaking Benjamin
Slash
Halestorm
Anthrax
Scott Weiland

I've kind of always hoped LP would play more U.S. festivals such as Rock On The Range, Carolina Rebellion, Pointfest, etc.
-
It's not terrible, but the chorus is very weak and the song itself is bit repetitive. I did like the synth sound however and Chester's scream at the end.

Should be a fun tour. I remember back in 2009 my ideal Projekt Revolution included 30STM and AFI. By the way, there's a 5 day gap in between the Michigan and first Texas show. At least 2 more shows could be included at some point maybe.
-
I would've hoped you guys didn't think I was serious. What the fuck?! One date?! What kind of tour is that?! This is bullshit, bullshit, bullshit, fuck you, bullshit! If I had one wish it would be to bring every member of both LP and 30STM from their happy holiday slumber in Hollywood with all the other rich people and bring them brought right here with big ribbons on their heads. Then I want to look them straight in the eye and I want to tell them what cheap, lying, no good, rotten, fore-fleshing, lowlife, snake-licking, dirty inbred, over stuffed, ignorant, bloodsucking, dog kissing, brainless, dickless, hopeless, heartless, fatass, bug-eyed, stiff-legged, worm-headed sack of monkey shits they are. Halleujah! Holy shit! Where's the tylenol?

I'm meant the 4th and 11th. Sorry.but if they will add on the 6th they would maybe play 4 shows in a row with the polish show and the 3 german shows
-
I get the feeling they'll add dates on the 6th and 11th and then that'll be it.There will only be one show in that gap, probably on the 4th. The band avoids playing 3 shows in a row whenever possible these days.
Hopefully they add some more shows after Download, because otherwise they're only playing 9 or 10 shows right now.

I was at the Fairfax show. Great show with lots of energy from all the acts. My how things have changed in the 10 years that have passed. P.O.D. and Hoobastank were at the height of their popularity and Story of the Year was a fresh face on the scene.

Where's the show being streamed? KROQ, right?
-
You can't say that those shows we're part of any cycle because they weren't promoting anything at the time they did those shows. What you could say is that they were shows the band decided to do so they could step away from the writing and recording process for a little while. Kind of like what Metallica did with their "Escape From The Studio" and "Sick Of The Studio" tours in 2006 and 2007.I don't view shows like that. I don't view shows as one off. For example, I classify the 2006 Summer Sonic shows as MTM cycle, or the 2009 shows as ATS cycle, etc. Either way I'm going to classify it as LT shows but I was just wondering what you guys thought.
-
I would say it's not part of any cycle. The show is for a cause not for album promotion.Would you guys classify this show and the LA show as LIVING THINGS cycle tour dates or 6th album cycle tour dates?
-
They played a makeup show with Cold and Jurassic 5 during the Summer Sanitarium Tour.I'd prefer if we list also the bands that made only one show with LP
it's still important imo
-
I wouldn't say that they were forced. If that were true they could've just said no.I honestly think it's a little sad to see that it seems like the band was forced into playing HT, instead of embracing (is that the right word?) the idea, judging from Mike's reaction he didn't seem too happy about it.
-
More than likely the first couple of songs will be from other albums, then they'll be play HT in full, then break for the encore, then come back and close out the show with songs from other albums.they can't just play the Hybrid Theory songs can they? probably a bunch of other song as well or am I completely wrong here?

Forgotten (February 24, 2002-present)
-
I myself don't see it happening. Fort Minor hasn't been on the minds of the mainstream audience since 2006 and the landscape has changed significantly since then. I don't even think radio plays those songs anymore either. Not to mention the project was created at a time when Mike couldn't express more of his Hip-Hop roots in LP. Now that that has changed, the existence of FM is pretty much pointless.
-
I doubt he's trolling. More like an exaggeration at best as he most likely doesn't really know. The guy probably thinks MTM was the band's last album.Unless Mike is being Trollnoda again, we know about 3of 4 of thr Sunset Strip shows and 3of 5 of the first shows. Interesting.
-
Pretty sure Mike writes all the lyrics as well. Chester just shows up to record vocals and give occasional feedback.Still need chest to come in and write lyrics and do some "tasty" scream edits like on Given Up
-
One doesn't come to mind for myself but there was someone who said to me "Don't Stay" rips off "Faceless" by Red, not knowing that "Don't Stay" came out 8 years earlier than "Faceless".
-
Would like to see more emphasis on guitar riffing ala POA/Qwerty/GU. LP hasn't done anything of guitar noteworthy since MTM. The guitars on LT sounded very uninspired and had too many mid-tempo tracks. Let's hear some heavy rockers next time out.
-
Not surprising they haven't played in Wyoming. Hardly any big name group goes there with exception of a few smaller acts. There's more people living in NYC than there is in Wyoming.
Phoenix: "I don't think we're done as a band. I think there's something on the horizon but I can't give you a timeline."

They should go the route Alice In Chains went after Layne died. Bring in a new singer, yet, have Mike do lead vocals on all future music/albums with the new singer doing backgrounds vocals and harmonies. When the band plays the older songs live, the new singer will sing Chester's parts.
