  1. I want to buy the LPU12 cd but it's not offered in the LPU store as a physical copy. I'm thinking about getting the download version. Once I bought LPU6 and it came in a horrible bitrate (128 KB/s) or something.
Do you know the bitrate of LPU12 (Digital version)?

  2. Really? Try do it by yourself. I wanna hear it.

You can get a usual DAP software, arange some samples and record some autotuned vocals. Not a big thing. Sadly, I don't have a big name so no one would care...

And just to make it clear: I can't create a Meteora or LT or HT but a generic dance track like this should not be too challenging. Waste of time.

  3. That depends from what country you are.

If you are from Germany you can buy it in lossless format cuz it's almost the same price like for compressed formats

    Here the comparison:iTunes: 9,99 € for M4A 256 kbpsAmazon: 8,99 € for MP3 256 kbpsqobuz: 10,39 € for lossless 16-bit FLAC (the best option)

There are other options if you are not from Germany. It would be easier if you told from what country you are here or you can send me PM and i'll help you.

I am from Germany! Thank you! But I can't find the Meteora version.
  4. Malathion is the most Metallica track LP has ever done, i'm sad that they did not completed this track it had a lot of potential but I can see why it was never finished it was part of the ATS era, it doesn't fits the atmosphere of that album.

Blanka is another good song, great riffs.

I don't really like this new trend of instrumental albums, atleast last year we got Primo which is one of my favorite LP songs of all time and now we got a stupid robot song and an AWFUL sounding Mike, I don't blame him it's just a demo he has improved a lot.

I won't listen to this album again, I will probably revisit it to make ringtones.

I don't think Mike improved. If he would try to sing that high now, he would still sound like that! But that's ok. He's not a singer and it is a demo.

I miss tracks like ATL. Some of these demos are interesting but I don't think that I'm going to listen to them twice.

  5. Hi all,

I tried to buy a few shows there but it doesn't work anymore. I add the shows to the card and then I enter my payment and billing information. When I click on the Submit button, the message "Account configuration issue. Please verify your login credentials" appears. Last year the site worked well for me.

Any ideas? I tried almost everything and would be happy if someone could help me.

  6. That's horrible and sad.

This album is nothing but mainstream. I only can hear computers making music and this drum sounds suck. This snippets sound like the album was recorded during two hours or so.

WAK also is terrible getto music. But maybe some kits will buy that s***t. But luckily there are lots of other good releases in the moment. Rob and Brad should look for new jobs.

Once again one of the best comunities ever and LP doesn't give anything back, just my opinion.

  7. Agreed; I want this to be around, and the best way to make that known is to buy some of these.

I disagree. Consumers haven't to follow every commercial step. With this opinion that we have to buy it just to avoid the cancelation of the project someday we will be very poor people.

It depends on quality. And if I should believe what the lpl members have posted here this whole download page isn't very professional. And we have the right to show them that they have to take the necessary effords to do it well.

  8. Bad example, I'll put a better one: Dream Theater. Everyone here who knows about music (and not fucking mainstream and stuff) will understand me. Linkin Park have reached a point where its music can't go through it. I mean, they try to remake themselves but they won't do at all. Brad Delson is one of the worst guitarist of the world, the fact that he doesn't like to play solos is just an example; Rob Bourdon is not the typical crazy drummer we all are used to, he's a no technical drummer, a skinny guy like Joey Jordison (just for a example) eat him from the top to the bottom: Phoenix is the no bassist, I mean, he only do anything, move his fingers and that's all (I think he's never heard Tool); Mr. Hahn he just punches his table and just that, makes some videos and just that. And Mike paints and Chester scream and smoke dope all the time. That's a band? I don't think so.

For years I've been following Linkin Park, its lyrics touch my heart and it's my favourite band, but it is just like listening Nirvana or some other death band: just listening the all same thing, the all same gold stuff that they won't ever be able to do again. And know we'll see real good stuff from Deftones, Limp Bizkit, Korn,..., but Linkin Park will still be there, stuck to Rick Rubin and planning what to do and what to paint and what to fuck off.

I'm sorry, but that's the truth

Hard words but I think I have to agree. OK, Rob is not as bad I think.

LPs old sound was the fact that they became a name behind something new. And the free sharing idea for the DSPs was awesome. LPU was a cool platform with cds which were just created for its members. But now they are completely main stream and make a lot of pop music. This underground cds (not the right name I think) can be bought by everyone. So they are like lots of other bands now. There isn't much difference. So let's be realistic. They are bad musicians. Mike can create simple songs which I like to listen to. But it isn't possible to compare lp with the great metal bands like Slipknot or Dream Theater.

They are much more talented. DT has lots of specials for their fans. And the albums are not 35 minutes long. They give us albums with a length of 70 minutes for less money by the way.

  9. During festival shows in radio and tv the moderators always say that the rights of this recordings belong to the bands. So it's not in their hands if the records are not allowed to air. Very very strange this whole thing.

The label makes money and LP, too because they're doing what the label says. Thats the way it is.

  10. Just listening to the Tallica shows from 2010. The mix is awesome. That helps. I'm Looking forward to the next ones and start to forget the lp shows that never come. And if Mike or someone else tells something about new releases I will not read it anymore. Where are all this demos from mtm he wanted to release? Where is the live version of No Roads Left that he wanted to play surely on the mtm tour???

I only will take the things which are available and don't care about the rest.

    Just something else:

I feel very sorry for the whole lpl staff. They all make an awesome job and I think there's no better fan website out there. Sorry for you that the band doesn't give much back to you. I respect you very much because I wouldn't do that so long and with so much power. Thanks for this incredible work.

  11. Hey everyone: Rock am Ring was never recorded. Of cause the tv stations sent some proshot clips but they never had been recorded. They just exist :-) As a fan I must say that I hate it to know that they think we are too stupid to recognize this manipulated facts.

One question: How much does LP get for letting them be controled by this sucking label? Thats the part of this problem no one wants to talk about.

  12. I'm not sure but I think Mike said something in an interview that they're going to sell older shows. And then I remember that there was an lp underground chat or something like that maybe with Rob (not sure sorry) but one of them told something in this direction.

  13. Does it mean more LPU members = more money or a smaller chance to get a meet&greet?

I'm realy dissapointed. Sorry for this hard words but live recordings are the most important things I can get from bands. By the way: Metallica can show them all how the distribution of live recordings goes.

No overdubs, just in time, free vault shows....
