  1.

It is going to be a long shot, but who doesn't want another Mike Shinoda/Holly Brook song..

A long shot for another Holly/Skylar collab yes for sure....Not for a new FM album. Mike is a highly creative individual and seeing where hip hop is right now, I am almost certain he has the itch to do another record.

  2. Ryu was in the studio with Holly Brook AKA Skylar Grey recently......Hmmmm I dont think it has anything to do with a new FM record but check it out.

I honestly dont think its a coincidence that all the old FM sites are re-registered, FM facebook was started etc....I really believe a new FM album is coming... Check out this interview with Mike back in September of last year. Sorry if its been posted already.

  3. Hello All,

I am looking for LP or FM stickers. I used to be a street team member of both LP and FM but I cant find my stickers that I have left. If anyone is willing to hook some up for free, I will gladly pay for shipping costs. Please let me know. Thanks!

  4. anyone knows why BID was played twice?

I was at the show and I can tell you that it was played twice because not all instruments were audible. They also played New Divide twice because Joe Hahn messed up on the bridge. he basically came in late and it sounded weird. Mike wasnt too happy that they had to re-do it.

The sped up version was the soundcheck I believe.

While waiting to go into the area where the stage is, LP was doing sound check and some of the songs they did were BID and LGM. BID was sped up for some reason. It wasnt the whole song either. Nothing special about it....I am sure they were just messing around.

I guess they'll show the rest of the set tomorrow???

Tonight they are going to air LGM and New Divide. Thats it...The other songs are more then likely not going to air on TV.

  5. Honestly, how do people like Lies Greed Misery? I would have to say that its the worst song on the album by far. Id give it a 3/10. I hated from the first time I heard it and I cant listen to it at all. I dont skip any songs on their cd's and I can listen to them all the way through, but I am this album will be the first where I skip LGM. I just hate it! I am not complaining cause different strokes for different folks as I told Mark. Its just my opinion...

Oh and Victimized is the shit! I love it! Again, I cant see why people hate it...Its fucking genius!

Mike, I have my own challenge for you: Start making amazing music again!

MTM was ok(certainly not worth the 4 year wait, however FM was awesome- too bad that project was abandoned)However ATS was just so bad- I’m not even going to go into that anymore. As a former die-hard LP fan( with tons of merch and tats of LP), I’m still in dismay over the direction you’ve gone with Rick Rubin at the helm.Obviously Warner told you to post this to boost album sales. As a fan who has already pre-ordered the album based on loyalty, I don’t see the harm in a little sneak peak.I hope LT is a step in the right direction. We miss the rapping, guitars, energy and unique style LP used to have. Bring back FM!

    You’re silly.

    Pwned.

Really? Who do you figured he Pwned the other person. Too me it just looks like he was trying to avoid any discussions with the other person and just ended it with "you're silly." There really isnt any Pwnage in that response whatsoever.

Now, had he elaborated on it instead of dodging the question, maybe there could be some Ownage!

  7. The word epic gets thrown around more then an old sock in these forums.

Too me, this song is not "epic" at all. In fact, I think its one of the worst songs they have ever recorded. I am not bitching, I', simply saying. I hardly ever feel this way about their songs and I am a huge fan of the last two albums, but this song is just weird. The beat is too generic and the chorus is weird. Sounds like some wannabe dubstep regurgitated beat with LP on it...

Whatever though... that's my opinion and I am sure the rest of the album will be better.

  8. Where to begin? Well, I'll start off by saying how dope and intimate the show was. Sure it was a 6 song set and shorter then I would have liked but the interaction between the fans and Linkin Park made up for the short set. As you know they played New Divide, Given Up, Papercut, Waiting For The End (with Apaches Intro), Burn It Down, and Faint.

Each song was performed very well and the whole band sounded amazing. Mike's rapping sounded fucking dope as usual, Chester's singing and screaming was flawless, Brad's guitar riffs and Phoenix's bass strumming were impeccable, Rob's drumming was on point, and Joe's scratching/programming was fucking genius! Its amazing to me how great they've become as a band and the chemistry shows it. What really blew me away though was Chester's vocals. People had said in the past years that he cant scream as well as he used to and so on, but after yesterday, I have to highly disagree with those people. His screaming reminded me of the Jimmy Kimmel show back in 03' when they were touring for Meteora.

In between songs, Stryker (KROQ D.J) did a Q&A with the band and that was a lot of fun. Most of those questions and answers, we've heard before. Mike also told the story about Chester walking through the airport security with all the chains and whatnot. It was quite funny. It was a very loose and fun atmosphere and most of the band were joking around. I got the opportunity to ask a question to the band during the Q&A, which was pretty cool and nerve-wracking at the same time. I asked the band if they visit fan sites and Mike proceeded to answer the question by saying he did and named a few such as; LPLIVE, LPASSOCIATION, LPTIMES, and MIKESHINODACLAN. This question opened up the discussion about the scavenger hunt (which many people there didn't know about) and Mike went through were it started (Australia) to where its at now (Brazil I think..?). I also asked what was at the end of the scavenger hunt which Chester answered by saying, "We can't tell you, you will have to wait and find out at the end of it."

After the set and Q&A, the band came over to the fans and signed autographs, took pictures, and hung out with everyone. I have met LP a few times (even going back to 2003 when they did the LPU Tour) and I must say that even though they have experienced immense success in the past 12-13 years, they remain the same cool guys they were back then. The only difference is now they are way more busy and have fatter bank accounts. LOL

Below are some pics for you guys to see. One is of me and Chester (who is genuinely a very nice guy) and another one of me and Phoenix ( who is also very friendly and talkative). I also included a pic of all the shit I got signed. Brad ripped the set list off the floor (it was taped to the floor) and gave it to me, Rob gave me Mike's guitar pick, and Mike gave me Rob's drum stick.

Oh and by the way, Burn It Down sounded fucking sick live! The Apaches intro rap was sick too. I thought the rap was a Beastie Boys song but I may be wrong. Either way, I will have some videos up later.

I am not good with reviews, so I hope I didn't bore you all to death...

  9. Hey guys the show was awesome maybe like 80 people, as for the waiting for the end intro it was really awesome it was Mike's Apaches accappella, basically as he would do on before POA during other shows I haven't heard the verse he did before so I am not quite sure where it was from. Some people were using cameras for video so I am sure something will pop up.

Bazz this is incorrect. Apache wasn't fully acapella. There was the WFTE beat in the background. I have video of it. The video is shitty and dark due to no flash being allowed but you can hear it. Ill upload it tomorrow and ill give a full review with pics of all the stuff I got as well as pics with Dave and Chester.

  10. Super tempting, but yeah I love Linkin Park and this really doesn't have a value sorry.

Understood, but don't you have 2 tickets?

    Mark,

I will be going tomorrow to the LP rehearsal show. I will take a not pad and pen and write down the set list in order. I cannot take a camera or cellphone so I wont be recording anything.

  11. Thank You and very true, it seems with addictied to sites like this I always know what surprise to happen and the setlist it's really awesome just to be surprised.

If you want to sell one of your tickets to the dress rehearsal, ill gladly buy it for $200!
