  1. DBS has an official website, it's just not up yet.

Yeah, I checked and the DeadBySunrise.com domain has been purchased, even though there's nothing but ads there right now as a parked domain.

And I'm buying the record at least twice Adam, so no worries on my end here.

I do really wanna know if there's gonna be a Special Edition though, and if it depends on where you buy the record for which bonus downloads you get (or if you get all the bonus downloads, no matter where you guy it).

  2. Yeah, but is it going to be the same JK remix version? Or is it going to be an alternative/rock version of "Morning After"?

    That's the question.....

Just a guess, but I think it will be the original version that Chester made before he let J-K tweak it specifically for the Underworld soundtrack.

I can't really see them re-releasing a soundtrack-exclusive version of the track that was released 3 years ago, and they'd at least label it as such if they did.

  3. Sorry if this is a dumb question but will the album be sold at retail stores yeah? If it doesn't...im gonna break somethin & flip out :( , it better not be the same problem that i had with the Julien-K album cause i couldn't get it in retail stores here in the UK & had to buy it over-seas from the US.

Warner Bros. has always been good at releasing their music internationally, at least to my knowledge.

You may even be lucky and get a bonus track (probably Morning After, for obvious reasons) on the UK CD version too.

  4. Ryu said that they're planning on pressing CDs, but my fear is that people like... well, us... will be outbidding each other and driving up the price if one happens to pop up on eBay. I'm fairly certain that a limited pressing of the CDs will have no problem selling out in pretty short order, mostly due to the vultures who will jump in and try to make a profit off of the secondary market on eBay.

He did say that, and not that I have any reason to doubt RYU, I'm just thinking worst-case-scenario on that front.

I also asked if a run of vinyl was possible, but with the expense it would require, that's not likely.

RYU said maybe a small Japan-only pressing of vinyls will happen, I can only assume because a Japan-only pressing would be a lot cheaper than a U.S or UK pressing.

  5. Some of us would like an actual CD though... Took me awhile to track down the other two, I'd like to have the trilogy. ;)

Oh, don't get me wrong, I prefer CD over digital-only 100%.

I definitely want a proper CD release myself, but I'm just saying, if physical CD distribution is out of the question for whatever reason, I'm sure it will be available in some fashion, the easiest of which would be a digital release.

    EDIT:

On the same subject, I asked RYU is a vinyl release will happen, and he said it wasn't likely, due to it being expensive to press up vinyl.

  6. I don't think you'll have to worry about Reseda Beach being shelved.

I know it's been pushed back like crazy, but the ball's started rolling, and even if it's just an iTunes release, I'm confident it will get released.

  7. I'd guess, at least partially, he's getting shows and stuff through sponsors.

His music seems to have been taken well with a certain portion of the Asian public, and he's probably getting deals to play shows and stuff.

And for the record, they ARE getting things done with Reseda Beach at the moment, so they're not having a problem on that end, at least now anyway.

You're perfectly entitled to your opinion, but I wouldn't get disappointed at Tak on that front.

  8. Just to throw a little info into the ring: If I remember correctly, I think it was Mike who talked to Warner, and got S.O.B full ownership of the record when they left.

I don't know the entire situation obviously, but I tend to think that when Mike signed S.O.B, he thought things would go over smoothly, as they should've.

You may remember Ryu saying that Tom Whalley originally said he loved the record, and everything was going good.

Then all of a sudden, when he was asked why things had started getting held up, he said he didn't like the record anymore.

Whether it was political or what, I don't think Mike expected Whalley to bail on S.O.B and their record at the last moment.

I think it all essentially came down to Tom Whalley.

I don't think Mike intentionally did anything against S.O.B in the situation, and the fact that he got them their record before they left helps solidify my opinion on that (you know how Warner tends to be about completely owning their artists and said artists material).

  9. Good news Mark, and a Happy B-Day to Adam, hope you have a good one.

Don't you dare not post that J-K interview, I've been waitin on that one man!

Or at least send it to me....

  10. Holly and Apathy are rumored to be making an EP or an album together. Sounds great to me. Her new CD is in the works too. Apathy is doing a Big Mike mixtape soon, then his solo album is coming. Demigodz CD is coming this year, and Reseda Beach in less than 2 months.

Gonna be A+. Holly is really cool to talk to and Ryu/Apathy/Scoop are so damn funny it makes for a great time, even if it does go to 4am eastern time.

It went til 4 my time, it was nice.

I'm losing sleep over this stuff, but it's worth it man....

  11. "Get Stupid'r" was renamed to "Damn" and totally redone due to samples. Mike produced it w/Apathy. "Howdy Doodie" had Mike producing as well.

Just a small correction man, "Get Stupid'r" was renamed to "Dumb It Down", he played "Damn" right after that I think.

Thanks for getting the notice up on LPLive so fast too man, appreciate it.
