  1. Great write-up! I wish I could have gone, but alas, I did not. The only LP show I have ever seen was in 2007 at the then-named DTE Energy Music Theater in Clarkston, Michigan. It was Projekt Revolution during the Minutes to Midnight era...and oh GOD was it awesome. Styles of Beyond were playing the second stage in the parking lot, and I was lucky enough to meet Mike backstage before he performed with them, since I knew another band on that stage, Madina Lake. Mike was so cool, and my 19 year old self snapped a photo with him that I only have as a 79kb file now...but memories are good enough! I'm so happy that particular show was also a MySpace stream event! (I'm old.) Having my only LP experience being pro-shot is a huge win. It was such a fantastic performance, too. Mike had asked me backstage if I was going to the LPU meet & greet to the rest of the band, and sadly, I had to say no cause I had left the LPU for a year due to funds. So I missed that chance, but man, Mike was so kind. He recognized me from the Fort Minor forums, as I told him my username at the time, HybridMeteora798 !
  2. I keep seeing articles about Linkin Park "not being able to sell tickets" and "Not doing well, cancelling shows and underperforming, etc" But I think even if that's true, the idea of giving people some cheap seats is great. Concerts are EXPENSIVE these days. I tried to get Gaga tickets today and nosebleeds were $700. I mean...come on!
  3. It made me so happy to see this! As a producer myself, I hate that pitch-correcting "official" live performances are the normality. Emily & Mike are incredible live vocalists, they're very raw and emotional...but the post-processing takes a lot of character out of it. If you watch a fan recording of it and then hear the official audio, the difference is instantly clear. Still a great video, I'm just nit-picky as a producer AND musician. [It's not the band's FAULT either, this is seemingly how every live performance is released these days...even The Voice and American Idol pitch correct their "live performances"].
  4. Honestly, my thoughts are this, she's a killer vocalist. She's not Chester, nobody is, but Emily is a fantastic vocalist. The show visuals are crazy (my epilepsy is preventing me from REALLY watching it...) but I'm so happy to see Linkin Park continue. I'm ready for it.
  5. I am so excited about all these new things that keep happening! The interview was fantastic, Emily (to me) is a fantastic singer, and the energy the boys are feeling is priceless. Now I absolutely miss Rob and am kind of sad Brad is not a live performer now, but Linkin Park is always going to be Linkin Park to me.
  6. I loved it! I have been following Paul Davids for a LONG time...so happy to see he was a part of this!
