  1. here's my unbiased opinion on the post-Chester Grey Daze releases: i'm glad people enjoy it, but i honestly don't. both albums are so overproduced it's almost overwhelming. everything between the original vocal tracks getting violated with unnecessary pitch adjustments and the songs themselves not even reflecting the integrity of the original band. in my opinion, they're both basically just really bad takes on what LP did with Reanimation. i won't get into the morality side of it, (if Chester's family is okay with it, so am i), but sonically it's a huge disappointment. songs like She Shines, Morei Sky, and In Time i actually thought were pretty decent, and i fell in love with the acoustic EP when it came out, but like i said, some of these songs were absolutely butchered. maybe i'd have a different opinion if they didn't take on any vocal features, but my god, i can't express how bad the newly recorded guest vocals were. i probably don't have to mention how awful Sean on Starting To Fly is, but i will. the chorus in Believe Me felt really gratuitous as well. either way, these are just my opinions that shouldn't matter to anyone. i'm honestly really glad people enjoy it though, it just isn't for me. i'd much rather hear the 2 unreleased pre-production recordings from '96, hopefully the stars align and somehow we'll get our hands on it one day !

I would throw Tomorrow in the set list but dope shit. A little 10 years anniversary box set of High Rise would be great (and not that far in time, considering it dropped in 2013). Couldn’t wait for a HQ live show of CheSTP ❤️

totally forgot to put the high rise songs in lmfao. same on the inside, cry cry and tomorrow all would've been awesome to hear live too

  3. this would've been my ideal ChesTP setlist, maybe we'll get a cool little deluxe release for High Rise one day and we'll hear some of these songs as a rehearsal or something (probably not but who knows !)

Did LP ever perform DBS songs? For example Mike would throw in Fort Minor verses into their set but did Chester get to do the same?

Chester sang a line from the chorus from The Morning After at the end of the Bristow show in '04 but that's it lmfao

Idk if someone has already noted this, but it strikes me as weird that there's no live version of Reading My Eyes in the release. Seems like if they were gonna include the Mark Xero version, they would also treat fans who are hearing it for the first time to hearing Chester's take on it live.

wouldn't be surprised if they include it in a Meteora/MTM boxset since it was on LPU 6

I just found someone who recorded the Download 2004 show. It’s only 16 minutes but better than nothing! From 42:35 to 58:50.

the BBC Radio 1 banner on the left side of the stage makes me wonder if they actually aired the entire LP set over FM radio

Overproduced remixes scoring 79/100 on metacritic and being praised even  by people who dislike 90% of LP’s discography ? Yes please, gimme more and more again

i never said it was bad, let's not act like we listen to it for any other reason than Chester's vocals being on them
