  1. I disagree with this 100%. I think it would be disrespectful to NOT release stuff with Chester, no matter when it is. He was a legend, he was my favorite musician of all time. I want to hear everything he’s ever done - realistically speaking or not. I want to hear live performances of him singing, demos, you name it. I want him to be honored forever. And I’ll fork over money to whatever is is. I would hate for him to be forgotten or to have stuff not come out that he was a part of. And the band has done live albums before, it’s nothing new. What a good way to honor Chester, IMO. A properly mixed and mastered live release with him singing songs that meant a lot to him.

As you said, for me Chester is a legend too, and someone who has been so important to me and whose music has been with me for almost all my life, I think this release is weak. It’s just my opinion, I think they could have prepared something more substantial and better because Chester deserves the best.

I do not think that releasing a making of or a compilation of the last tour in video would have been very difficult.

  2. Am I the only one who thinks that this CD is a joke? I can think right now about a thousand better ways to pay tribute to Chester. Even in the statement make us envious saying that Chester was at his best in the studio with stellar performances.

Is it so difficult to make a Blu-ray with the making of one more light and a live performance? A live CD without video content in 2017? really? I'd love to see Chester’s latest performances, but this is a disappointment. But knowing Warner that are looking forward to releasing a lot of stuff to make more money, it does not surprise me at all.

People saying it was too early to take out LPU17 and they release this….

  3. I'm speechless. it's like someone had stabbed my heart. It hurts so much, because I know an important part of my life dissapears forever. The band has been next to me growing up , sharing with me my best moments and the worst is going to end somehow. It's tough to explain it right now. At least I had the opportunity of seeing him live once, the best concert of my life.

  4. Hi guys, seen how poorly is selling phisically, do you think OML will get any certification WW ?

Yes, the certification of trash/garbage/rubbish/shit hhahahahaha

Pd: I was kidding dude. Seriously, it has been almost two months, get over it . Whenever I connect you're talking about OML as the best album of all time. You should start to undestand that it's not going to sell well, because LP is not trendy anymore. People knows them as a metal/rock band, you have to get used to it. And honestly, It's a subpar album for the majority of people.

  5.

Spamming the band/management isn't a good idea. That's why I gave up on the DSP thing. I did an open letter then a Change.org petition. They know we want it, but nothing else on my end will get them to change their mind, so I dropped it.

It's fine for us to, sure, make an LPU wish list and tweet it once at them. That would work. But not sending them the same thing over and over.

I was exaggerating a little bit. But sometimes with certain kind of people works better being annoying.

As well as not shoving it down their throats, timing is key. If we tweeted this at them now, it's probably unlikely they'll look back at it a year from now. If we tweet a thread at them in September/October of next year, maybe there's a better shot.

Maybe for LPU 17 we can compile a news post around that time of year and make a thread of "most requested LPU tracks" and tweet that to the band, maybe 10-15 tracks that keep appearing in this thread until then.

You're completely right. The only problem is we don't know when mike compiles or decides the tracklist. Your idea is fantastic , though. I'm sure that It'll work out , one way or another.

  6. someone from LPCoalition said the new LPU will launch on November 14th and will have new logo. For merch, there will be t-shirt, poster art, keychain, headphone, badge and CD with 10 exclusive demos. The "Early Entry" is back for LPU.

might be true, might be false.

What's his source? It seems too soon to me. I'm expecting it in two weeks.

  7. Those festivals are both taking place 23rd - 25th June? We also got Download Festival Spain in Madrid on the 23rd and 24th (SOAD as headliner on a day). Really hope for a show in Spain (it's been 6 years) or Portugal

I really hope for a show in Spain as well. I'm actually from Madrid, so that'd be fantastic and my first time in a LP concert. Fingers crossed.

As a physical collector, I literally hated the bi-monthly digital only thing that they did. I hated it back when Fort Minor did it with the Militia as well but I never thought LP would do it since they usually release stuff physically.

As a physical collector sucks, but I prefer the bi-monthly download. It's a great way to kill time to the next edition and even more this year, that we haven't almost had any news. And above all, we receive two more demos, which is fantastic.

  9. After checking out the list of unreleased songs I created this new wishlist. I assume they will continue with the bi-monthly thing, so I've selected 12.

    1. Thoughts That Take Away My Pride
    2. Grecian
    3. Chicken Basket
    4. Nocturnal (Meteora Demo)
    5. Episodes (Minutes to Midnight Demo)
    6. Powerless (2010 Long Version Demo)
    7. Sakura ( I liked a lot the samples from stagelight)
    8. Ape
    9. Dingleberry (WTCFM Demo)
    10. Poppy THP Demo
    11. Sono
