Hmm the video of source 1b that was shared with us has an incomplete version of WJAL it cuts in in ater the 2nd line of the song.

I know it's not that much but I wonder why it's missing while this video right here has the full version

ABC is 1080i, 448 kbps in some locations

ABC is only broadcasting in 720p and as far as I know in 1080p now as well.

This 1080p could apply if the broadcast is aired in another country on a TV channel that supports 1080p and airs the 720p HD feed on it's HD channel. For example, CityTV, they do air Jimmy Kimmel Live and some other ABC programs, and I'm not too techy, but they do operate in 1080p HD and then they air the program in 1080p, so it's either an upconversion to 1080p for the channel when it airs, or the shiw is filmed in 1080p, just that ABC airs in 720p...

What are you talking about if they broadcast in 1080p then they don't need to upconvert or even upscale anything because it's native full HD then.

Is there a 1080p in circulation for the Steve Aoki performance on Kimmel? I have found a 720p on Dime but that's about it.

For those typical broadcasts you won't find a 1080p source since they still broadcast in 1080i which is a big difference compared to 1080p you know ;-)

In some cases 720p looks better than 1080i for example if you take the AMA 2012 performance which was also broadcasted in 720p with a very sharp and clear picture imo and the video is a progressive source so win at 100 % ^^

Well, maybe this popup isn't the part of the video stream at all. Well, i don't know what else to say to convince you... Well, ok, 289 mb was originally ripped by me and released here at lplive some days after the event. And i guarantee you, it wasn't re-encoded, it 100% clear direct stream rip. Just trust me

You wrong. Stream wasn't letterboxed. It seems like uploader used software like fraps or something.

 

Works fine for me right now.

But if you look at 05:22 for example you'll see some kind of Japanese subtitles belong to this video which clearly shows that it was webcasted letterboxed ;-)

Hmm maybe I'm wrong but if the original stream was a letterboxed 4:3 webstream

then we don't have an untouched version...someone cropped the video to 16:9 so it was re-encoded ??

Could you provide a link to 337 mb version? It seems like i never heard about it before. Talking about 289 mb version - it's direct stream rip, no conversions or re-encoding, so you can get larger file only if the duration is longer.
