If people wanna see Jay-Z then they can go pay for the cheap $40 ticket to U2.
Thankgod he can't come to Melbourne, i'm paying $145 to see LP do a whole set, not have some guy come in, sing a few lines then ruin the song by sayin 'yeah' and 'cha' the rest of the time
-
how many people on LPlive are going to the melbourne show?
should we make a meeting place with a big sign like previous members have done?
-
lovin it, cool to see Joe doing vocals as well
-
Count me in, booked my ticket 2 days ago
-

Melbourne is a city
and i'm suspecting they'd be playing Rod Laver again but Muse is playing the day after? Thought Muse's production would need some time to set up
-
they were bliping names out from management
and nope nothing like B-sides or demos, nothing like on the MTM DVD

Please don't kill me for my review of it, it's my opinon and you can have your own and i'll respect that.
Now with that out of the way, here is my review on MOATS.
As I began to watch it after just having walked up the street to get some popcorn to get into the mood my hopes and expectations we're very high that this would be a hundred times better than the making of MTM. As the menu came on (even though i didn't no it was at first) I didn't no what to do. There was no indercation that I had to press enter or that i was even on a menu in the first place. As it began the first thing I noticed was the annoying sounds and way that were cut together and highly distorted. On top of this is the distortion effects used over the top of the video, as if trying to copy the sounds in the background. This became very annoying to watch and looked like it had been run through an old VCR and re-recorded a heap of times. There is also a dot on the one of the cameras used which i found discracting when it kept apparing.
Back to the doco itself, Rick is back, and this time he features alot more! lol
The doco makes the album not seem as fun making as MTM or Medeora and then when it does seem like they're having fun at something the disortion comes over the top and ruins it (for anyone whose seen it, Joe working on Blackout and then Chester doing vocals for Waiting For The End)
Sortly after Chester does some vocals for Waiting For The End the doco goes into some like alternative video for The Catalyst.
Two more things to finish of my rant are the way they used sounds to 'bleep' out what the band says sometimes (example - Chester's speech at the end) and the way it ends by making you think, well wat happens now?
I think that Warner is at it again and by the looks of it its really pushing the band, some parts in the doco i actually thought that one of them were going to walk out, thankfully the closest we get to that is Brad asking for the camera to be turned off.
Sadly i'd rate it a 4/10 for me. Listening to Chester do vocals for Waiting For The End and The Messanger save it for me, sadly its ruined by over distortion, IMO!
Just remember that, all of this is my opinon, i just hope someone out their actually agrees with me.

I'm really liking this song can't wait for the album now! this song is wat i believe would happen if Mike featured on a DBS song
-
this is the 1st release where we've been given snippets and i havent listened to them! i feel that listening to snippets leaves no excitement to when u actually hear the song in its entirety
-
im just setting my alarm lol
-
yeah didnt think 8am sounded right for Aus, well least im not gunna miss the bus but it was the same time i was up to listen to New Divide not long now XD
-
great so my bus leaves at 8.05am tomorrow and i'm running on dial up speed till the 4th cause i've used up all the downloads...
-
Wow, that be Metallica in Nov with Muse and Linkin Park in Dec, now thats a way to end the year
-
You will probably have to pay more for the P+H seeing as it is being sent overseas. You will also have to wait four more days to get the digital album that the 300 people who pre-order it from Australia do. You will not have to wait until October to get it shipped, they will ship it on the 14th of September and it will take longer to ship because it is being sent overseas.
But at the same time i dont have to worry about not being one of the 300 people and missing out and also i have school wednsday.
And yes it says "The single and album will be delivered digitally on or before 8.2 and 9.14" so this could mean that depending on where you live depends on when the album is sent to you
-
Love the sound of 'The Requiem'
And 15 tracks! Now days its rare to even get 12, Linkin Park = Real Musicans
-
umm im sorry but i'm from Australia and i've already pre ordered the Deluxe Edition
wait so since i brought mine from the US store i have to wait till Oct the 15th or before for it to be shipped?
-
Just pre orded the Deluxe Fan Edition Box Set XD
Thank god for the downloads, i think without the digital downloads i would go insane not having the album till prob Nov with shipping to Australia!
