  1. Yay, another 2003er!

Yeah! Although I was far from hardcore - I was just getting into the band, being still a kid after all. But I remember spending days on fan sites (mostly Bulgarian ones), remember listening to CC for the first time, remember The Rising Tied coming out and asking people to download it for me because I had terrible connection, things like that. And, of course, the MTM anticipation, which will always be memorable to me, as it was the first real album I was waiting for. And it's still my favorite Linkin Park record. Whether it is for its quality or for the memories it brings, I don't know, but damn, those were the times!
  2. It was 2003 and I was 8-9 years old. We all had mobile phones that could share files and play MIDI's. We were pretty crazy about it - every kid used to have like 200 MIDI songs on their phone. So I really digged In The End, Faint and Numb. Naturally, when I got an Internet connection at home, one of the first things I did was to check Linkin Park. Been following the band ever since. :)

  3. I remember back in 07, when i first started listening to LP. I had this poster from the MTM era, but i used to watch the "numb" video everyday, and in that video Chester has glasses on, but on my poster he didn't. So i actually thought it was a complete new singer on the poster, for a while i thought it was amazing, how similar he sounded xD

Wow, I thought I didn't remember a noob LP moment, but you reminded me of something similar. Back in like 2004 (being 10 years old), I remember watching some videos from Live in Texas and thinking that the black-haired vocalist is a different guy from the blond Chester I knew. Damn, I feel like a thousand years have passed since then.
  4. That's really strange they'd list it on the setlists as the Apaches intro and it really isn't even from that song, as you guys say. I can fix that on all of our show pages, no problem. Even if LP setlists list it as the Apaches Intro, I'll definitely change it so it's accurate lol.

I don't think that LP would incorrectly call it Apaches intro. Maybe Apaches was the demo title for UIB, as well? After they combined the three demos, they might have not called the song Until It Break from the very beginning, but rather call it Apaches until they figured out a name.

Something nice for the shows before LP6 comes out. Not gonna happen - I doubt whether they'd open with No More Sorrow again. Or play it in any form, in fact. The encore is something they're unlikely to even consider. And yeah, No Roads Left and QWERTY should be replaced with New Divide and Lying From You to make it more realistic, but it becomes too ordinary. :)

  6. Although I'm technically one of those '10 years old or younger guys' (damn, I was born a few months after Purple's release), I love STP. I'm really into grunge, so I'm quite fond of their earlier stuff. I'm still to hear some of their records, but I've played Core and Purple a lot. And I liked their 2010 record, even though I was not really aware of the band back then and it was actually the first album of theirs I heard. So with that said - I really dig the idea of Chester fronting a band like this. However, as they are really not one of my most favorite bands, I can't really say I'm interested in their shows. I don't really care about setlists - Linkin Park is the only band that I'd check the way their tour goes, and I listen to so many bands, with some of them - as much as LP, or even more. But that's just me - I think it's nice to cover the tour on LPLive. Keeps things interesting and maybe even brings some STP fans on board. :)

  7. Okay, eighth-finals! :)

    Eighth-finals

    1) QWERTY 0:1 The Catalyst

    2) Castle of Glass 1:0 Iridescent

    3) One Step Closer 1:0 Blackout

    4) With You 0:1 No Roads Left

    5) Carousel 0:1 Waiting For The End

    6) When They Come For Me 0:1 Papercut

    7) New Divide 0:1 And One

    8) Leave Out All The Rest 0:1 A Place For My Head

This round will end on Saturday evening (European time).

Woah, some pretty difficult choices here. Just as statistics - we've got 2 HTEP songs, 4 HT songs. 2 MTM songs (counting NRL), 5 ATS songs, 1 LT song and 2 non-album songs. No Meteora.

  8. Yeah, but this way we can have three semifinals, which means we won't have a final match. Anyway, I'm changing my votes for the four ties, meaning that the songs I voted against continue to the 1/16-finals. Fuck my opinion, the game has to go on.

    16-finals

    1) Waiting For The End 1:0 Points of Authority

    2) A Place For My Head 1:0 Numb

    3) Iridescent 1:0 Figure.09

    4) Valentine's Day 0:1 Papercut

    5) Blackout 0:1 Shadow of the Day

    6) Carousel 0:1 In The End

    7) Step Up 0:1 New Divide

    8) Castle of Glass 1:0 No More Sorrow

    9) Wretches and Kings 0:1 QWERTY

    10) And One 0:1 What I've Done

    11) With You 1:0 From The Inside

    12) Lost in the Echo 0:1 No Roads Left

    13) The Catalyst 1:0 Until It Breaks

    14) One Step Closer 1:0 Robot Boy

    15) Pushing Me Away 0:1 Leave Out All The Rest

    16) When They Come For Me 0:1 In Pieces

This round will end on Thursday evening (European time).

The most hilarious part from the first round, imo, is Carousel (a song Linkin Park never played live, at least to our knowledge) beating Burn It Down (their biggest single in the past few years, a song that really got HUGE) 10:0. Wow.

  9. there's no time limit for each round?

Well, I'm going to set a time limit next round. The time limit for this one was yesterday (although I forgot to mention it ), but every time I get online, an even number of people has voted and there are some ties. That's why I said the next one to vote is going to be the last one.
  10. Okay, waiting for one last person to vote. Since this may take a while, here's the deal. If you're not willing to vote for 32 matches, you can only vote for the few ties we have:

    1) When They Come For Me 5:5 The Little Things Give You Away

    5) And One 5:5 Breaking The Habit

    24) Roads Untraveled 5:5 New Divide

    27) Until It Breaks 5:5 By Myself

Of course, if you want to, feel free to vote for all the matches. :)

  11. Well, I remember the song elections, but I guess I missed this. But yeah, they're always fun. :)

So, user #3 copies @Castle of Glass' post and changes it with his results. User #4 copies #3's post and so on.

By the way, in case of two people posting at the same time (not very likely, but still possible), the second one has to change his results according to the first one's. If he fails to do that, the third one should copy the first one's votes - he was faster, he deserves it.
