TnkA
Please don't kill me for my review of it, it's my opinon and you can have your own and i'll respect that. Now with that out of the way, here is my review on MOATS. As I began to watch it after just having walked up the street to get some popcorn to get into the mood my hopes and expectations we're very high that this would be a hundred times better than the making of MTM. As the menu came on (even though i didn't no it was at first) I didn't no what to do. There was no indercation that I had to press enter or that i was even on a menu in the first place. As it began the first thing I noticed was the annoying sounds and way that were cut together and highly distorted. On top of this is the distortion effects used over the top of the video, as if trying to copy the sounds in the background. This became very annoying to watch and looked like it had been run through an old VCR and re-recorded a heap of times. There is also a dot on the one of the cameras used which i found discracting when it kept apparing. Back to the doco itself, Rick is back, and this time he features alot more! lol The doco makes the album not seem as fun making as MTM or Medeora and then when it does seem like they're having fun at something the disortion comes over the top and ruins it (for anyone whose seen it, Joe working on Blackout and then Chester doing vocals for Waiting For The End) Sortly after Chester does some vocals for Waiting For The End the doco goes into some like alternative video for The Catalyst. Two more things to finish of my rant are the way they used sounds to 'bleep' out what the band says sometimes (example - Chester's speech at the end) and the way it ends by making you think, well wat happens now? I think that Warner is at it again and by the looks of it its really pushing the band, some parts in the doco i actually thought that one of them were going to walk out, thankfully the closest we get to that is Brad asking for the camera to be turned off. Sadly i'd rate it a 4/10 for me. Listening to Chester do vocals for Waiting For The End and The Messanger save it for me, sadly its ruined by over distortion, IMO! Just remember that, all of this is my opinon, i just hope someone out their actually agrees with me. Christos_17
I agree with you. I enjoyed the MTM DVD a lot more. Whilst there are some cool things here and there, overall it just feels too short and makes you want to see more when it's done. ChuckCheese
I actually really loved it. Very very personal for the band. Chester's speech at the end was the greatest Linkin Park moment to date. FORTsunrise
I just watched it on Hulu. Fairly good insight to the writing and recording but I didn't how it ended on a cliffhanger as if there's supposed to be a second part.
