LPLStaff Posted 11 hours ago Posted 11 hours ago We're back in Brisbane for Linkin Park's second night of two, and the conclusion of their first-ever two night stand in Brisbane! Since we went over the band's history in Brisbane on the Night 1 thread, let's review what took place at the first show of the tour in Australia. First, the band "brought back" both "Castle of Glass" and "Casualty" in the show. We use quotations there and use the phrase lightly because they were not performed on the Middle East + India leg of the tour in January, but four shows total is not really enough to say if a song has been dropped from the rotation yet or not. But, luckily both are still in and were performed at the tour kickoff! "Castle of Glass" in Brisbane, its first performance of 2026. Next, Mike rapped familiar verses in the show - "Until It Breaks" verse 3 over his solo medley and "A Place for My Head" verse 1 over "Bleed It Out". We do think while "A Place for My Head" itself was not performed in January 2026, it will make an appearance this tour in Australia and New Zealand in full (not just as a verse). Other than that, the show was pretty standard but solid. We noticed they sold the show in the "endstage 360" setup similar to Tokyo, Austin, and Arnhem... aka, the band plays endstage as usual but seats are sold behind the stage and on the side of the stage for fans to be able to see the band. And when that happens, we see some fun moments where Emily, Alex, Joe, etc run around to play to and hype up those fans. Mike mentioned before "Faint", "I don't know if you know this or not but when the album From Zero came out, one of the biggest fan responses in the world that we got was here in Australia. The Linkin Park fans here have always been incredible, but that was just above and beyond. So thank you guys so much for supporting the band in this new chapter and new cycle." With Linkin Park selling out multiple nights (or coming very close) in three cities now, it seems like they are on the verge of upgrading venues in Australia one day - perhaps the next album or so - like they have done in Europe and South America. This show in Brisbane was their 30th Australian show overall, with 6 more lined up this month over the next few weeks. Brisbane night 1 setlist with 7 song rotations. And there was a funny moment on Mike's solo medley when he went down, saw a fan from Brazil with a sign wanting a tattoo, drew a penis and then laughed and drew a real tattoo for the kid. Aaaand that photo has now made it to social media. So what can we expect for night 2? Well, there were 7 song rotations in the show night 1 - "Points of Authority", "Crawling", "Over Each Other", "Castle of Glass", "Casualty", "Stained", and "From the Inside". There are a lot left on the table, and we're going to assume some of these pop into the night 2 show - "Lying From You", "New Divide", "Cut the Bridge", "IGYEIH", "Lies Greed Misery", "A Place for My Head", and "Good Things Go". What exactly the band will play is totally up in the air as the rotations right now are pretty random and are just whatever they are feeling at the moment. "Papercut" live in Brisbane, with Emily shooting silly string into the audience at the start... similar to a move Mike pulled on "A Place for My Head" at Nashville 2008. We're still looking for the elusive "Unshatter", "Let You Fade", and "Keys to the Kingdom" that have seemingly disappeared from the shows, but we're holding out hope they show up at some point, even sporadically, this year. Or another older track like "With You". One thing we are happy to see in the setlists is that "From the Inside" is in a LOT of the recent concerts. After debuting in Mexico for the first time with Emily, Colin, and Alex, fans immediately fell in love with the vocal take from Emily on it and it has gone on to be a big fan-favorite on the world tour. What's next for Linkin Park on this tour? They have two days off before heading to Melbourne for two nights, to repeat the Night 1, day off, Night 2 series there. A lot of interesting moments in the band's history have taken place in Melbourne, so we're looking forward to LP hopefully adding to that this time. Adelaide, Sydney, and Auckland follow. We'll catch you for Brisbane night 2 and are excited to see what they bring out for song rotations! If you're going to the show, have an amazing time! Quote
