xero96 Posted January 8 Posted January 8 Hey guys, in my free time I spend a ton of time on the Wayback Machine, browsing old Linkin Park fansites from the early 2000s, trying to find old live photos, audios, and especially videos! I've already found loads of photos dating from between 2000 and 2003, as well as completely unknown setlists! I'll post everything soon! Today, on an old LP fansite (here is the link : https://web.archive.org/web/20050205145606/http://www.hostultra.com/~UltimateGamer4k/Content/audio.html ), we have information about the LP concert from August 16, 2000! We can see the setlist and the downloadable audios, but unfortunately, they're not archived. I'm just posting my find here, and if anyone else could help me scour the internet for old Linkin Park stuff, that would be awesome! Quote
xxHybridXeroxx Posted January 8 Posted January 8 Nice work, however. This is probably the 2000-09-16 show. There’s been some confusions about this one, someone else can explain it better than I can. Quote

I've been doing this for a long time, browsing old LP fansites, and I have several sources talking about the concert on August 16, 2000. All it is is a site hosting mp3 files copied from another site, which itself copied them from the first one. It's the classic "no fact-check done on the information provided" for those sites. Shouldn't it already be a red flag that it's the wrong city for the date? About the files hosted, however: Quote A professional audio recording of this show was webcasted online on House Of Blues' website in 2000. Due to a series of confusions, the recording ended up being mislabeled as the band's 2000.07.24 show in The Sapphire among Linkin Park fans and, since then, was believed to be Linkin Park's earliest show recording in circulation, until the mistake was resolved in May 2016. Source: https://linkinpedia.com/wiki/Live:20000916 You'll notice that this 2000-07-24 show was actually in Orlando, FL. Still, the wrong show for the recording. Quote
LPLStaff Posted Friday at 03:35 PM Posted Friday at 03:35 PM August 16th's show was not in Orlando. It was the Roxy LA show. All of this was a mess about a decade and we got it straightened out... @Rasputin 93 is correct. Quote

I verified on Linkinpedia and yes guys you're right I should’ve double-checked the August 16th date before jumping in 😅. Thanks for the correction. I got carried away by the excitement of potentially finding something lost. Also as I said, I’ve been digging through a lot of old LP fansites, and I’ve gathered quite a few photos from live between 2000 and 2004 who doesn't appear on Linkinpedia. I’ll be sending them over soon, fully sorted and with all original sources and Wayback Machine links clearly cited, so you can review and use them however you see fit. Thanks again for the clarification. Quote
