Bebro Posted June 10 Posted June 10 Sounds so powerfull. I wonder what's the difference in recording and editing between from zero lives and Road To Revolution or Live In Texas. Comparing these 3, Texas sounds a lot like a session recording with very little audience, Road to Revolution sounds just bad, and FZ sounds so good, bright guitars, powerfull drums, full warm vocals. I Wonder what out of these 3 is the closest to real show. Quote

bloodbath Posted June 10 Posted June 10 I have a rule when it comes to live releases: You can edit, but don't add/record anything that wasn't there in the first place. Let me give you an example, cleaning up the mix to sound better: crunchier guitars, making the audience audible if it's buried among the instruments... You get the point. But when it comes to use parts from other performances if you fuck up something or rerecord vocals in studio because your throat was sore... That's where I draw the line. This is my personal take, I don't expect anyone else to like it, or to be the right perspective on this matter. LP hasn't gone so far to make a KISS, if you know what I mean. But when the bootleg and the official live recording have notable differences, it doesn't sits well to me. Quote
LPLStaff Posted June 11 Posted June 11 The audio, the vocals especially, are definitely from Austin. Sure it's edited some to make it sharper but this sounds awesome. I A/B'd it to the audience recording and it isn't an insane change or anything. The mixing on these is A+ and this is a solid release. We really need a full show sometime in this quality. From the Inside would be a big one, and Lost, if they are working on more. Quote
