LPLStaff
Fresh from the Nerdmatics Instagram as Linkin Park prepares to head to Mexico this month is a series of two videos detailing some of the behind the scenes setup and gear for the band's touring rigs. "Nerdmatics is a design team based out of Los Angeles, California specializing in music performance systems and audio & midi software development." In these videos you'll get to see some of the work that was put into setting up the band's gear for the From Zero World Tour. There is another video on Mike's build as well: "New build for @m_shinoda currently being used on tour with @linkinpark With gear from @nativeinstruments @embodme and @iconnectivity_interfaces we created a custom station for Mike to play samples, run VSTs, and use multi channel audio FX. This steup can also sample audio from different instruments on stage and add FX to it as well. The center of the rig is a Prodigy.MP from @directout as well as @digitalaudiodenmark Core 256 for thunderbolt connection and low latency audio. Thanks to Marc VanGool and the LP crew for all their help with this." Thank you to Nerdmatics for sharing! My impression from the stream is that it sounds clean, clear and massive (im not talking about if Alex doesnt sounds like Brad or the key changes) Quote Link to comment https://lplive.net/forums/topic/18346-nerdmatics-linkin-park-gear-and-rehearsal-spot-rundown/#findComment-339980 Share on other sites

LPLStaff
It's hard to tell because the first 3 shows I saw were 360 and the sound was noticeably weaker than a normal show. That's probably for any artist playing 360. The intros were so loud at the Forum and Barclays you couldn't hear what was going on - the bass was overwhelmingly too loud. Texas was a stadium and was mixed absolutely flawlessly. Really great mix there, the entire production was a true sight to see and the band nailed it. Loved the mini set at the end of the catwalk too.
