RUMOR: More South American Tour Dates?

A lot of rumors have been popping up these past few days about more potential shows in South America this year, perhaps after the massive response to their sole date in the continent in Colombia in November. Here's a quick roundup of everything so far:

UPDATE: September 23: Linkin Park have shared a "COME TO BRAZIL" social media video, seemingly confirming that they will be coming back to Brazil or be announcing shows very soon.

September 21: While exploring Linkin Park City (otherwise known as Hamburg, Germany), Mike and Phoenix visited Miniatur Wonderland, partnering with them to hide small models of Shinoda spray painting the From Zero cover on a wall throughout the city along with pairs of tickets for whoever found them first. While there, however, Mike shared a picture of a miniature Rio de Janeiro, Brazil with the iconic Christ The Redeemer statue hanging over the recreated city.

Additionally, Live Nation Brasil began teasing something today. While no clear artist can be attached to it, many are speculating it may have to do with Linkin Park.

September 20: Multiple South American festival leakers began teasing that Linkin Park may announce new shows for 2024 in ChileArgentina, and Brazil

With how much demand there is for the band in South America and the previously legendary shows they have played down there, it seems to us that it's a no brainer to hit South America as soon as possible. With plenty of time in October and perhaps the first half of November leading up to the release of From Zero on November 15 (its likely the band will have a lot of promo around then - including performances!), the possibility of dates this year does seem high. The band has said they are planing to tour heavily in 2025, so it's likely South America is already penned in for somewhere next year, but maybe they double it up this time around! If these rumors turn out to be true, this will be Linkin Park's first South American Tour since the very start of the One More Light World Tour in 2017, where they played shows in Buenos Aires, Argentina and São Paulo, Brazil for the Maximus Festival alongside headline dates in Santiago, Chile and Lima, Peru - the latter of which marked their first show ever in the country!

As always, stay caught up with us on social media (Twitter/X, Instagram, and Facebookfor the latest updates on Linkin Park's upcoming ventures, and sign up on the forums and share your thoughts with the community (we don't bite)!

Brazilian dates would be likely 15 and 16th November (2 shows if first show gets sold out). Which means band would play at the album release day right here.

Wonder if anything special is planned for that day.

That would be EPIC. First time ever band debuting an album outside LA.

We will learn more in 2 days

That'd make a lot of sense, given the isolated show in Botoga in November.

If they indeed play in Brazil on the release date, this is going to be absolutely insane. We all know how passionate the fanbase is over there.

Crazy Linkin Park storm, all of this.

There are a few things that ended up not being mentioned in the post.

1) For example, Mike and Colin liked fan posts talking about possible shows in Brazil.

2) After the show on the 5th, Phoenix talked to a friend of mine and his wife. He was asked about a show in Brazil, and he said he believes they are going. There’s a video of this conversation that has even been published in the Brazilian media.

3) It doesn’t make much sense for there to be a standalone show in Colombia. Traditionally, no international artist does just one show in Colombia. Brazil is always the main destination, and other dates in the region are scheduled as a consequence.

Now, one thing that makes me a bit doubtful about whether these shows will really happen is the fact that all the band's promotional material mentions only these six shows. Isn’t it strange for the band to sell shirts in LA and NY with tour dates and then add one or two more dates afterward?

Omg!!😱 Just got here… and wait, what?? Is that true @felipeintheend??? OMG!! Cause I’ve been thinking a lot about the possibility, but thought it might be just me dreaming way too high 😂😂 “when would a band as great as LP debut the new album in Brazil?” ..  but to see your comment here made me so surprised! It could be possible them? I saw someone mention the other day that the dates were not confirmed due to the regional soccer league calendar…
