We talked about going into the studio to write, but this song was my ace in the hole, in case we didn’t come up with anything on the fly. Chester took his own life, and that event prompted me in a whirlwind of grief to finish that song. In a way it’s a dedication to him." Also, seems like Chester made a lot of friends on that particular tour, Projekt Revolution 2008. Chris Cornell, Billy from Ashes Divide/A Perfect Circle, Frank from Street Drum Corps (was once drummer for Julien-K years after and now with Sum 41, but he was the drummer in DBS in 2017 and Chester was talking with him about doing DBS shows in the future). Then Busta Rhymes too who was friends with Mike and Chester.
