Source 1: Audio - AUD (Cellphone)

    Taper: Jordan Byers' friend

    Time: 19:22 mins

Comments: Includes 'Remember The Name', 'It's Goin' Down', 'Enth E Nd', 'There They Go' (partial), 'Dolla', and 'Petrified'. Quality is so horrible it's not worth listening to - it's almost 100% distorted. At the time, the objective was to get a recording of the last few songs that we didn't have a recording of from the previous shows. Mainly, fans were trying to get 'Dolla', 'There They Go', and especially 'Petrified' recorded so fans could hear them.

Source 2: Video - AUD (Unknown)

    Taper: JonanBT

    Time: 30 mins (?)

    Format: .mov

Comments: JonandBT, staff of lpfuse.co.uk, was in the front row for this show and recorded it on video on his camera. At times, he was right under Mike, Ryu, and Tak, and got up close shots of all of them. Unfortunately, when he was leaving the show, security saw him, detained him, and made him delete the video of the show. However, Mike Shinoda himself showed up right at that moment and told security that Jon was "doing a job for him". Security let him go, but it was too late - the video was gone. He was able to keep his Meet and Greet video, though.

    - Mike and Joe accepted the Outstanding Live Performance award on behalf of Linkin Park.

    - The taped event aired on AZN Television Sunday, January 29 at 8:00 p.m. EST/PST.

    - Show was discovered in 2007 after a clip was found of AZN TV thanking all the winners for the 2007 Asian Excellence Awards. It had a very short clip of Fort Minor playing 'Remember The Name'. The Fort Minor website never mentioned this show at all.

    - Beatdown played a short drum solo after 'Red To Black'.

    - Black Violin had their own solo after 'High Road'.

    - The 'Fort Minor Medley' is a mid-set mashup of verses from 'You Lose', 'Megadef', and 'Bleach' by Styles Of Beyond, Tak's verse from 'Respect 4 Grandma' (Fort Minor) and two original verses by Mike.

    - Played at the brand new Nokia Theatre in New York.

    - Show was originally scheduled for January 4 (that must have been a typo in the touring schedule) but later moved to February 4. On December 13, 2005, the Philadelphia show was canceled, so then the NYC show was moved and played on February 6. The Providence show was then added for February 4.

    - Holly Brook joined the band for 'Where'd You Go.' She was on hand for all of the Australian shows, but not New Zealand.

    - Beatdown played a short drum solo after 'Red To Black.'

    - Black Violin had their own solo before 'Petrified.'

    - The 'Fort Minor Medley' is a mid-set mashup of verses from 'You Lose', 'Megadef', and 'Bleach' by Styles Of Beyond, Tak's verse from 'Respect 4 Grandma' (Fort Minor) and two original verses by Mike.

    - This was the same venue that Linkin Park played at in 2001, where the crowd broke the floor!

    - Fan video exists of 'Remember The Name' and 'Enth E Nd', shot from the front row. The 'Enth E Nd' video has Mike talking about the crowd breaking the floor in 2001, and you can tell a lot of Linkin Park fans that went to the Enmore 2001 show are there.

    - Fort Minor was originally booked for two shows at Reading Festival and was set to play on both the 26th and 27th. However, once the Miami show was booked, the second Reading show was "cancelled" (before it was announced). At this show, the band was to play the Dance Stage again and play between Lemon Jelly Audio Bullys and Kano at 7:15pm.

    - On July 25, 2005, Fort Minor was announced by Reading and Leeds to perform at Reading on July 26th and Leeds on July 27th. The official promo poster confirms this. Later, a star was added to say Fort Minor was only going to perform at Reading. The band then was set to play a second Reading show on the 27th, but "canceled" both hypothetical shows in England on the 27th as they were headed to Miami to perform.

    - Eric Bobo from Cypress Hill came out and played his drums on 'Believe Me'.

    - 'It's Goin' Down' was played in a rehearsal/joking manner as Mike, Ryu and Tak had the camera crew put their hands up on the song.

    - After they performed 'It's Goin' Down', Holly Brook came out and they practiced 'Where'd You Go' at least three times. Mike instructed all cameras be turned off for 'Where'd You Go', except the one Jim Digby (tour manager) pointed out was "theirs" (and Holly Brook's mom was also filming). Since this was the first performance of 'Where'd You Go' with Holly Brook (the live debut a few days earlier featured Chester), they ran through the song a few times because she was using in ear monitors for the first time and was try to get used to them.

    - There were clips of 'Where'd You Go' and 'Believe Me' in interviews with Holly Brook and Bobo on the Fort Minor Militia website. There was a 'Behind the Scen'es' montage video on AOL.com that had part of 'It's Goin Down' in it.

    - The show was released through AOL as a part of its Sessions@AOL series. It came with a front cover and a back cover. The setlist of the release was in a different order and did not include 'Where'd You Go' or 'It's Goin' Down'. The order was: 'Believe Me (feat. Bobo)', 'There They Go', 'High Road', 'Petrified', and 'Remember The Name'.

    - On January 11th, 2011, LPLive posted a thread about the discovery of an internal DVD that featured the released songs, eleven and a half minutes of 'Where'd You Go' being rehearsed, an interview with Mike, and Mike giving shoutouts to AOL for press purposes. Only a few of these questions/shoutouts ended up being released. There were a few playback issues with the DVD but LPL staff member [AndOne] edited it to fix those only to make it more enjoyable for the viewer. The full package was released on January 17th, 2011 as an exclusive.

    - Jay Leno messed up the introduction to the band, calling them "Fort Myer" instead of Fort Minor. However, he did correct himself, which prompted Mike to say "thanks" when the song began.

    - Beatdown caused a controversy with this performance when he dropped a drumstick right after the band begun and the drums kept playing. The community backlashed, saying Fort Minor played over backing tracks, but Ryu was quick to defend the statement on the Fort Minor Message Boards, convincing fans it was fine.

    leno / tonight show

what up! just got back from taping the tonight show. which means you all should be seeing it this evening...it was a fun performance.

i think beatdown and holly would agree with me that doing a performance like this is like a bad rollercoaster (i'm not making fun of the show, hear me out). here's why: we get to the studio at like 11am. soundcheck and go over the performance and sound over and over. wait around a lot too. lunch, then more rehearsals (this time for cameras). make up. more waiting. then, finally, sometime after 5pm we play, and the whole thing is over in four minutes. it's like a bad rollercoaster where you spend the whole time riding up the hill, building up for the big thing, and the downhill fun part part is so short, you hardly get to take it all in. ha (?)

it's always fun, though. the tonight show, in particular, is one of the most professional shows in my opinion, so you never have to worry about how it will sound, how it will look, anything. you just get on the stage and enjoy the performance, even if it is short. anyway, tune in and enjoy the song (thanks again for keeping it up on the charts and whatnot).

    have a good one
    -m

PS - we got to pet one of the tigers backstage. wow

    - Mike gave a shoutout to Jonah Matranga (who is on the studio version of the song) at the beginning of the song since he was in the audience. Near the end of the song, he shouted out to the Machine Shop family, Styles Of Beyond, Jonah again, and said that the song is dedicated to his wife Anna.

    - Holly Brook performed the piano part in the song since it was just her and Mike for this performance.

    - 'Where'd You Go' was the number one video at the time on TRL. Shannon, the 2006 class president from Ewing High School, introduced the band.

    - Fort Minor performed on Mancow's Morning Madness on Monday, January 30 at 9:00am CST. The show was broadcasted by numerous radio stations across the country but no recording has ever surfaced.

we're going to be playing MANCOW's show on monday morning. for those of you who get his show, listen for us at about 8am. i think we're only going to play one song, but it's going to be interesting: we've never played that early before! they asked if we could just use the instrumental and rap over it, but i politely asked if i could have the whole band play (all 11 of us), since that's how we do it on stage. they agreed, so we'll see how it turns out. it should be fun. see you out there on tour...

    Welcome
    Live Debut

    - Mike introduced the song by saying everyone could get a free download of 'Welcome' on fortminor.com and dedicated to "all the outsiders" and "all the underdogs."

    - In a rare move, Mike wore his own shirt for this performance - the new "Welcome" Fort Minor shirt he designed.

    - This was the first time that 'Welcome' was performed live. The song was released as a free download the day before the show for Fort Minor's 2015 comeback, and the video was released the day of this performance.

    - This was the first Fort Minor performance since August 13, 2006. It was also the first time Mike debuted the "one man show" act of Fort Minor, meaning he performed as FM solo and with no guests.

    - After the performance, Mike got on Periscope to answer fans' questions about the day's activities. He said LPLive "confirmed" that it was his first time ever on TV performing solo.

    - Mike added more stage members to the live show for the first time. There were three backup singers, and members of Black Violin that played the violin and cello added to the band.

    - Chester joined the band for 'Enth E Nd' and 'Where'd You Go', his first performance with Fort Minor. Holly Brook was unable to make the show because she was recording for something else. Chester took over her role on 'Where'd You Go'. He later sang on 'Where'd You Go' again in Japan in 2006, when Holly was unable to make those two shows.

    - 'Dolla' was moved up in the setlist from previous shows.

    - 'Believe Me' had an extended outro tacked on to it, which stayed with the song for every single show the band played after this one. The outro includes a breakdown for the backup players to sing, as well as a fan sing-a-long part for the chorus.

    - The 'Fort Minor Medley' is a mid-set mashup of verses from 'You Lose', 'Megadef', and 'Bleach' by Styles Of Beyond, Tak's verse from 'Respect 4 Grandma' (Fort Minor) and two original verses by Mike.

    - This was the first time that 'In Stereo', 'Where'd You Go', 'Believe Me', 'Feel Like Home', 'Red To Black', and 'High Road' were performed live.

    - The day before the show, Mike posted on the Fort Minor MySpace blog that there would be a surprise near the beginning of the set, which turned out to be Chester.

    - In an interview in December 2005 with Reuters about the new Linkin Park album, Mike said, "(Linkin Park) DJ Joseph Hahn came to our show in Los Angeles," Shinoda says. "He didn't even say hi. He didn't even say great show. He just walked straight up to me and said, 'Listen to me. When you go on stage with your side project, it can't be this good. You're not allowed. It's not fair.' He was obviously joking, but we do take a lot of pride in our show and I hope people can see it soon."

THERE ARE TWO DIARY ENTRIES FOR THIS SHOW. Mike posted one the day before the show and one after the show.

    Tour Diary #1:

today is our first show in L.A. and we're doing it big for the hometown crowd. if you're around, come on down. tickets are cheap, and the show is great. plus, make sure to catch the beginning of the set--i have a surprise for you.

i usually try and come down at the end and sign some stuff in the front of the stage at the end of our set (if they'll let me). keep an eye out. if you have a fort minor t-shirt, it would be a good idea to bring it and come to the front, to get it signed.

other than that. we're still killing 'em over at TRL. thanks for voting, and keep up the great work. you're the best.

    happy halloween

    Tour Diary #2:

we played the myspace show last night--great show. thanks to everyone who came out and supported. the hardest part of playing a show like that is that we're playing music from an album that nobody has heard, so the crowd doesn't move around and sing along the way the do if they've lived with the music; but in spite of that it seemed like everyone really liked the songs and got really loud anyway. i actualy saw people figuring out the words as we went along, and singing along to songs that they had never heard before! great stuff.

for those that couldn't make it, we started out with remember the name, and went into a couple of older songs, "it's goin down" and "in the end"--the remix from reanimation. chester came out with me and sang on "in the end." that was fun.

after that, we jumped into the new material (6 songs), and ended the set with petrified. we have three string players and three backup singers on stage, and S.O.B. and beatdown (drums) are back.

i hope i can bring the show to a venue near you soon--it's a lot of fun. more to come later...

    - The setlist was changed for the Asia Tour, by swapping 'Petrified' and 'Believe Me', and 'There They Go' and 'High Road.' The 'Black Violin solo' was moved from after the encore to before 'Petrified.'

    - Mike brought Elva Hsiao, a popular Chinese singer, on stage to sing 'Where'd You Go.'

    - Beatdown played a short drum solo after 'Red To Black.'

    - Black Violin had their own solo before 'Petrified.'

    - Mike promised all the fans that Linkin Park "would return soon."

    - Fort Minor opened for 50 Cent.

    - The 'Fort Minor Medley' is a mid-set mashup of verses from 'You Lose', 'Megadef', and 'Bleach' by Styles Of Beyond, Tak's verse from 'Respect 4 Grandma' (Fort Minor) and two original verses by Mike.

    - This was the first time that 'Cigarettes' was performed live. Mike rapped the first verse acapella.

    - 'Where'd You Go' and 'In Stereo' fan videos exist in good quality. Several news reports exist about the show, and some include a few clips from the show. There are also videos of the FM Taiwan press conference and of FM arriving at the Taipei airport.

    - From one of the news reports: "There was a conflict at the scene, and a foreign female fan was beaten badly by Taiwan. According to them, she was besieged by other fans when she wanted to cross the blockade to the front of stage."
