    - Stockholm and Frederiksberg were originally listed as being the first two shows of this tour. The Frederiksberg cancellation was on September 7th, 2001, so we assume the Stockholm cancellation was around that time too (just before the tour began). In March 2016, a tour itinerary for this tour was obtained. Both shows are not listed and the first tour date in the itinerary is Hamburg. The only announcement we can find about the cancellation reads, "Because of the "restructuring" of their U.S. tour has Linkin Park decided to cancel their concert in KB Hallen 9 september. Since there is no immediate prospect of a replacement concert, the tickets will be refunded where they were purchased until 15 October." This show was not found by LPLive until late 2013 when a tour shirt from the Hybrid Theory European Tour was found on eBay that listed both Stockholm and Frederiksberg on it.

    - Due to the canceled Copenhagen show in 2003, Linkin Park did not return to Denmark until May 2007.

    - The band comes out and talks for a brief second before 'With You'. Chester does not do his usual "c'mon" scream at this show to start the song and instead does a shorter one after it has already started.

    - Since they had a longer set time, the band added 'Pushing Me Away' to the setlist mid-set. They messed up the intro to it but recovered in time for when the song actually kicked in.

    - During the bridge of 'Forgotten', Mike apologizes for the band's flight getting in late so they missed their signing for fans. He said they'd be available to sign just after their performance.

    - Before 'One Step Closer', Joe played some random DJ samples while Brad played a 'Sweet Child O' Mine' very short guitar tease.

    - The band had some equipment problems after 'With You', which delayed the start of the next song for a few minutes. Brad played a short 'Sweet Child O' Mine' guitar tease.

    - Before 'A Place For My Head' (during the break), Chester said that the song was influenced by 'Rocket Queen' by Guns N' Roses. During the intro, he screamed, "What doesn't fucking kill us makes us fucking stronger, am I fucking right?" three times.

    - 'High Voltage' was featured in the setlist, which was rare for the OFFEST shows. It is possibly the only OFFEST show that had it (even though we're missing the Portland setlist just before this show) and likely was played due the band bringing it back for the Rock and Roll Hall Of Fame show a week earlier as well as the fact that they had played Wantagh in late June for a radio festival.

    - Brad started playing the usual 'In The End' guitar intro from 2001 after 'Crawling', but someone told the band that they only had time for one song left, so they went into 'One Step Closer' instead. Due to equipment problems, it is possible that the setlist was changed (since 'A Place For My Head' never was in the number two spot in the setlist) mid-show, but it is known that 'In The End' was at least planned to be played after 'Crawling'.

    - Chester on Spin (2004): At Jones Beach on Long Island. Total equipment failure. All of our DJ stuff was completely gone--there was no power in any of it. All of our drum samples went dead. It's Linkin Park with nothing but raw instruments. You listen to "One Step Closer" and there's nothing but guitar and bass. Then I physically transformed by body into a visualization of what was happening onstage, and by the end of the show, I was running around in nothing but my shorts. I had no shoes on, no shirt, no jewelry. I was basically singing a cappella. Kids were like, "What song is this?" Hopefully, it'll be just this good when we come back to Jones Beach."

    Other Notes:

    - In the Hybrid Odyssey documentary that has part of 'By Myself' from this show featured in it, MTV mistakenly lists the date for the show as March 9th, 2001.

    - MuchMusic did a contest for its Gonna Meet a Rockstar series where a fan would have the chance to spend the day with Linkin Park and watch the show from backstage. The episode aired on February 10, 2002 and features a clip of 'With You'.

    - Offest / Big Day Off was essentially a "tour inside a tour" where a partial version of the Ozzfest lineup played eleven shows between Ozzfest shows.

    - This show was filmed for HBO Reverb (as Mike mentions during the show) but it was never shown on TV, possibly because of the problems the band was having during the show. HBO ended up showing six songs from the London Docklands Arena show about five weeks later.

    - Chester performed 'Walk' (Pantera cover) with Disturbed.

    - 'High Voltage' was released in 2013 on the new Hybrid Theory deluxe edition on iTunes.

    2/08/01: MINNEAPOLIS, MINNESOTA

    Styles of Beyond has finished their time on our tour, and we were all sad to see them go home. they are really nice guys, and put on an excellent show. i hear they're going to go home to save up some money and showcase for some more record labels, as they are as of yet an unsigned act.

    as for us, driving almost non-stop for days at a time with twelve people trapped in one vehicle with "the shining" playing in the background isn't one of the most ideal ways to travel. -hahaha- at least we got here; the drive from denver last night was pretty rough, especially in the snow. something froze in our septic system, and the bathroom smell kept rob and i from going to sleep for a while last night. but our bus driver (also named rob) managed to fix it eventually.

    but this past week, the shows in salt lake city and denver were awesome. some of the biggest crowds we've headlined for, and the energy in the room really pushed us to deliver. everyone in our bus and taproot's bus have been passing around a cold. chester and steve were having coughing fits yesterday. all of our guys slept about 12 hours last night, trying to fight it off. good timing for a day off. we'll gather our energy so we can give 110% at the show tomorrow night.

    i'm going to stop writing and go look at some of those art contest entries. good luck to all...

We were at the airport after the show, the next morning, and we're sitting there and I'm like, "Oh my gosh, that's Slick Rick!" He's so obvious--he's got an eyepatch on, gold teeth, a beret, all this jewelry, a fur coat on. He's impossible to miss, a fur coat on. And I was just thinking, "Wow, this is crazy, I'm seeing Slick Rick in the airport." Well, it wasn't as crazy as when he came up to us and said, "Hey, I caught you guys on Conan O'Brien." I'm just like, "Oh my God, that's the greatest thing ever. Slick Rick just came up and talked to us!" Things like that, you never get used to."

    hey. it's mike and phoenix. I already wrote a bunch of funny crap, and Mike had the computer set up wrong, so we were disconnected from the internet, so we lost it all... We're in Germany, and I (Phoenix) am jetlagged... I've been up the last couple of days by 4 am, and a few minutes ago German MTV played the rock-rap-nu-metal "Koom By Ya My Lord." Needless to say, I feel like I'm on a different planet than the one I grew up on. For the record, the current LP vote on The Mummy Returns is 2-2. Mike and Brad enjoyed the movie, while Joe and I were pretty big negatories. The international scene is great, but I'm definitely excited to be touring in the states again on the Ozzfest... thanks for all your support.// i (mike) don't know why the computer bombed. but whatever...here we are anyway. german mtv and music here in general doesn't make sense to me yet. but i guess if i was german, i'd get it. we're playing rock im park today, for a gigantic crowd. neato. i'm excited for ozzfest. by the way, thanks for all the cool questions on the message board. we'll have to do a little FAQ session again sometime. see ya soon...

    4/30/01: WHAT IT IS!?

    australia is dope. we've had agreat time our first day here in sydney. we went shopping, and hope to go do a little sightseeing later. can't wait for the show tomorrow. i heard it sold out pretty quickly, so big thanks to all you guys who are coming. the shows in the 'states in the last few weeks have been fun. we just played with (hed)pe, mudvayne, disturbed, systematic, spineshank, the offspring, and staind (not in that order) at a festival in florida. the show went really well - i think it was a good warmup for ozzfest...

    okay, so the australian shows have been banannas. i think it's safe to say a show has gone well when the kids leave behind them a BROKEN CLUB FLOOR. when everyone cleared out of the enmore theatre in sydney, there was a 20-foot circle where the floor had been smashed down about 18 lower than where it was supposed to be. the crowd was so out of hand that they broke the floor. and tonight in melbourne, we had the biggest turnout that we've had on a headlining show. we can't wait to see what happens in brisbane.
