  1. Well, it's not very accurate, since some of the requested songs weren't so detailed (a THP demo could be a instrumental one or with vocals, could be a unreleased one or a demo version of some song in the album...)

Anyway, until now, the LPU 15 Wishlist TOP TEN \o/

    01. Dingleberry (When They Come for Me Demo)

    02. Pictureboard

    03. My December (Team Sleep Remix)

    04. Patients / No Roads Left Demo (Chester's Vocal Take)

    05. Tinfoil (Powerless Original LongForm Demo)

    06. "Thoughts That Take Away My Pride" (Meteora Demo)

    07. Final Masquerade (Mike's Vocal Take)

    08. Thanksgiving (Until It's Gone Demo)

    09. 1999 / Xero or Hybrid Theory Demo

    10. Skin to Bone ("Folk" Demo)

  2. So many ideas... I don't think that any of them will happen, but whatever lol

    01. Fire in the City

    02. Dingleberry (WTCFM Demo)

    03. Thoughts That Take Away My Pride

I feel like it's supposed to show growth and maturity as the album progresses, though Rebellion was written with satirical/sarcastic lyrics, so it's entirely possible that was meant to be written in a "Oh, yeah, I totally have seen blood and destruction. Totally" kind of way. The other two almost certainly show growth. The Rebellion/ALITS one could also be interpreted as the character maturing, too.

Yeah, I thought in it too. Actually, I'm thinking in write a little interpretation that I have of THP, after my final tests from college and these contradictory / maturity will be involved.

But won't be good as your interpretations, of course ;)

  4. Sorry for necroposting, but after hearing THP again, I noticed some lyrics in the album's songs that are a little bit contradictory, such as Rebellion/A Line in the Sand.

    Examples:

    Rebellion

    I’ve seen the blood
    I’ve seen the broken
The lost and the sights unseen
    I want a flood
    I want an ocean
    To wash my confusion clean

    A Line in the Sand

I had never been a coward
    I had never seen blood
You had sold me an ocean
And I was lost in the flood

    Mark the Graves

And the blood may wash away
But the scars will never fade

    Final Masquerade

    With shadows floating over
    The scars begin to fade

    Wastelands

    In the wastelands of today
Where there’s nothing left to lose

    Mark the Graves

There was so much more to lose
Than the pain I put you through

I don't know if really has some connection between those songs, but I'm letting this here :)

On APFMH, at least live, he screams "Take away!" Don't know if that's what he actually screams on the studio version, though.

Before Mike raps the last verse (I'm so sick of tension...) Chester screams what seems like three words ("Shut up, why?", maybe). In live version he screams only two (Probably the "Take away!) and then shouts a "AAAAAH" that leads to Mike's final verse.

But I really don't know for sure what he scream actually.

The linkinpark.com says that is "Shut up….what!", as iPodwithnomusic said before. Makes sense, as he screams "Go away from me" after that... I guess

I love how you are making so many contributions and keeping this thread alive, but other people need to make actual contributions too. I added "Fuck" so now I'm pretty sure I have the first four pages done other than making an "Other" section if there are enough.

If anyone thinks of random connections like the ALITS/Rebellion one, feel free to mention it, as far-fetched as it may be!

Sorry, is that I saw this thread "dying" a little bit, so when I have some available time, I try to help a little bit on this. But won't happen anymore :)

Another possible reference, but probably is just some kind of coincidence than anything more:

Runaway: Guilty by association (You point the finger at me again).

Guilty All the Same: You want to point your finger, but there's no one else to blame.

    Empty Spaces

    Iridescent: Falling into empty space

Blackbirds: The bells will ring, put pennies on the eyes, let the dead men sing.

Until It Breaks: And when the last bells ring. the poor men sing: Bring me to kingdom come.

Yeah, they're dead and poor lol

  7. Soldier Section

Hands Held High - "Do you see the soldiers that are out today?"

Burn It Down - "I played that soldier / You played king"

Until It Breaks - "Steady little soldier, I ain’t standing next to you"

All for Nothing - "And no I’m not your soldier I’m not taking any orders"

Also, it's only me or these lines of BID and AFN has some connection between them?

    Ok, it's only me xD

    And more for you ^^:

    - Wastelands is in "Attack Section", but I think that has the wrong quote ["Every rap is made in fact to act as a delayed attack" instead of "This is murder with no killing"].

    Also, Standing in the Middle counts? If so, we have "Every time you heard my occupation was a rap attack";

    - Suggestions to "Breaking Section":

Fuse - "To break a snake emcee like a cheap prophylactic"

Stick N Move - "Renowned emcees surround as the beat breaks down"

And One - "Breaking a part of my heart to find release" / "Break Me Too" / "Involuntary muscle contraction, ignoring your neck's breaking"

High Voltage - "Break bones verbally with sticks-and-stone tactics"

Untitled - "And bending your will / 'til it breaks you within"

Points of Authority - "My life, my pride is broken"

Runaway - "On top of broken trust"

Pushing Me Away - "Even the people who never frown eventually break down"

Somewhere I Belong - "Anything ’til I break away from me. And I will break away"

From the Inside - "Trying not to break. But I’m so tired of this deceit"

QWERTY - "Broken down. A victim of your lies"

Hands Held High - "A little red cover with a broken spine on the back"

The Little Things Give You Away - "The levees are breaking"

Across the Line - "And now he's somehow more broken / With every promise she's broken"

Not Alone - "I break down / fear is sinking in"

Blackout - "No remorse for the trust you’re breaking"

The Catalyst - "We’re a broken people living under loaded gun"

The Messenger - "And your spirit is breaking"

Lost in the Echo - "In these promises broken / deep below"

In My Remains - "Falling in the cracks of every broken heart"

Roads Untraveled - "Give up your heart left broken"

Foot Patrol - "And you can try to bruise me or break me / please don't mistake me"

A Light That Never Comes - "That pressure don’t care when it breaks your doors"

All for Nothing - "So let me break this fucker down for ya"

Rebellion - "I’ve seen the broken"

Darker Than Blood - "And we will break their bones until they fold"

Also, Burn It Down has the line "The cycle repeated as explosions broke in the sky" too.

    - Given Up in "Head Section": "Stuck in my head again"

That's all for now, folks :P

I'm never gonna get caught up on these XD

I just got Kiq's March 28 post, except for the Victimized/Dedicated and Victimized/WFTE connections. Maybe I'll make a section for "Other" or connections if there are more examples to add.

Maybe it's a common sentence, but we have "it's time to sink or swim" in both Papercut and Points of Authority (Demo). Could be a connection between these two.

Also, don't forget about Points of Authority and When They Come for Me connection/reference (forfeit the game) or even A Line in the Sand and Rebellion.

  9. Dig[ging] Section

Fuse - "Yo, dig this. Yo, it’s the junkyard, crooked letter-C-I-EN-tific"

High Voltage / H! Vltg3 - "I’ve been digging in the crates ever since I was living in space"

Faint [2002 Demo] - "All I could think was a new way to dig through the damage" / "I'm digging us a hole to travel through"

Bleed It Out - "I bleed it out, digging deeper just to throw it away"

Blackbirds - "In every mistake I dig this hole" / "I’m digging out my grave"

In My Remains - "Digging through the wreckage of your disregard"

    Betray[ed] Section

Papercut - "I feel the light betray me"

What We Don't Know - "Cause when our heads betray our hearts"

Victimized - "No regret for the confidence betrayed"

Skin to Bone - "With the promises betrayed"

All for Nothing - "Our trust / Betrayed"

    Pay/Paid/Repaid Section

    Pay Yo Respektz xD

Frgt/10 - "Living in a tenement cage for innocent pay"

Dirt Off Your Shoulder/Lying From You - "I paid a grip for the jeans, plus the slippers is clean"

Numb/Encore - "Knew if I paid my dues how will they pay you?"

    QWERTY - "I didn't think that I had a debt to pay"

No More Sorrow - "I’ve paid for your mistakes"

    Blackbirds - "That’s the price I pay"

Asbestos - "Another price ain't cheap but somebody's gonna have to pay"

All for Nothing - "(You say) I’ll have no debt to pay" / "My debt / Repaid"

A Line in the Sand - "We paid them no mind"

The next suggestions only have three songs with recurring words, but I'll let them here anyway.

    Grave Section

    Mark the Graves

Easier to Run - "If I could take all the shame to the grave I would"

Blackbirds - "I’m digging out my grave"

Snake Section [Yeah, snake section :P]

Fuse - "To break a snake emcee like a cheap prophylactic"

Victimized - "For you snakes in the grass / supplying the venom"

Until It Breaks - "Shark’s on the left side / the snake’s on the right"

  10. Put Keys to the Kingdom as a show opener and A Line in the Sand opening the encore.

The lights go out to the show begin, the people are insane waiting for it and then: NO CONTROOOOL, NO SURPRIIIIIISE :D

The same with ALITS: Mike start to sing briefly, and then the drums kick in... amazing [if anyone doesn't screw it :P]

Or... if the band continues with the shortened things, they could experiment something: Put a mash-up between KTTK and Victimized; and the encore starts with ALITS, but doesn't play the end of the song [the guitar bridge, the last Chester chorus and Mike's outro]. Play the other songs in the encore [APFMH and OSC, for example] and then put the end of ALITS, as a freaking extended version of it...

OK, now I can wake up xD

  11. For the people saying that ALITS would take so much of the setlist... Of course the band will shortened it and put in Bleed It Out bridge :P

And Keys to the KIngdom will be another debut... in a mash-up with Victimized
