  1. I don't understand why the fuck people want covers. We already have covers of Wish by NIN, My Own Summer by Deftones, Rolling In The Deep by Adele and more by LP. And then with Chester, you have TONS of covers, from Bucket Of Weenies show to Camp Freddy shows, to off performances. So many songs. What songs do you want the band to cover?

LPjahova808 started a topic back on May 7, 2010 and a lot of people listed some good song ideas. In fact, I posted my wishlist in May of 2012 just a few days before they played Sabotage for the first time and ironically, that was on my list. Yeah, if I had high quality mp3s of Bucket of Weenies that would be awesome. But even better would be the twist Mike would add, as I said, "to Linkin Parkify" some of those songs.

On a side note, somewhat related, I would love to see a Projekt Revolution with Public Enemy and they collaborate to perform Bring The Noise, a la Anthrax. I guess I'm showing my age on that one.

  2. studio versions covers it's a different story, but this thing fit more to EP/iTunes release not to LPU CD. the thing about LPU is to get things that they already did.

Oh. I thought the idea of LPU was to get exclusive content, not available to the public. Its neat to get an idea of the creative process. But, 5 versions of Faint, where on this cut we changed a note (I'm exaggerating of course); and then have it released on the LPU cd, to me, is getting old. I'm not saying I want every future LPU cd to be a bunch of covers, just saying it would be cool for a change. I realize I'm in the minority here, but I would like to see something other than demos one time.

  3. I like the idea of studio quality intros and some studio quality acoustic stuff. Am I the only one that thinks a cover cd would be awesome? I think we all liked when they covered Sabotage and Wish. Chester covered Adele. For them to pick a few songs and "linkinparkify" them would be sweet.

  4. I'm putting my 2 cents in that it will not be Linkin Park. With a presale code for ticket purchase on 4/2 and no word of presale for LPU, I would be pissed. Why did I pay to be in LPU if I'm not going to get presale? I guess they're just using the photos of previous Honda Civic Tours and happen to be some blurry LP shots.

  5. This worked for me:

Because of the variety of computers on the market, you may need to try a different driver from the Stagelight audio driver for your computers built in audio. Close Stagelight and download the ASIO4ALL driver from http://asio4all.com/

Download the latest version and run the file. Install the software. Check the box for “Off-Line Settings” for the Components to install during installation.

Open Stagelight, and press Menu > Options > General Options and the Audio tab. Under “ASIO Device” select “ASIO4ALL v2”, Under “Audio Output” select the range of outputs your computer has Low will be Ch 1 and High will be Ch 2 or above. Press OK when done. You should then be good to go.

  6. On the 25th, Linkin Park, Incubus and MUTEMATH venture to Noblesville, Indiana to the Klipsch Music Center for the tenth show of the 2012 Honda Civic Tour. LP has played this venue on numerous occasions before, the first being at a stop on Ozzfest 2001. That was actually their first show ever in the state of Indiana. A little over a month later, they returned to the venue again on an Ozzfest off day to play WRZX-FM's X-Fest 2K1 show (show page here). Nearby Indianapolis got a show on Family Values Tour 2001 as well.

One of the canceled shows in 2003 on Projekt Revolution came in Evansville, Indiana, a show the band never made up. Later in 2003, Indianapolis hosted X-103's 'Not So Silent Night', which Linkin Park played on their run of festival shows in December 2003. Anyway, Noblesville hosted a show on Projekt Revolution 2004, Projekt Revolution 2007 (show page here), and Projekt Revolution 2008 (show page here). This will be the band's eighth show in Indiana out of nine scheduled and sixth show in Noblesville at this venue.

At the last show in Tinley Park, Linkin Park played a variation of US Set B, the set that opens with 'A Place For My Head'. If current set rotation goes according to the norm, we should get some sort of US Set C in Noblesville, the setlist last played in Auburn Hills, MI a few days ago (show page here). Here's a great video of 'With You' opening the show with the new "Game Of Thrones" intro:

Who's going tonight to the show? M&G for anyone? Any fans keeping us updated on the setlist? One thing to note about this show is that while there was one in 2007 and 2008, there will NOT be a DSP (Digital Souvenir Package) for tonight's show reportedly due to the venue disagreeing with the band on how much money they should get from the sale of each recording. Ouch! This is one of five shows on the tour that will not have a DSP (Wantagh, Tinley Park, Noblesville, Mountain View and Carson).

After this show, the bands have an off day before playing in Dallas on the 27th, Woodlands on the 28th, Englewood on the 30th and then a few Canadian festivals after that. For the full 2012 tour schedule including past setlists and upcoming dates, click here.

I'm going with my wife and boys (13 &10). This will be their 1st concert ever. My 7th LP show. Excited to see their reaction. I have a guaranteed M&G but am considering not going as Hahninator had said you essentially miss the entire Incubus set. We were at the Summit in Chicago, so we already have autographs. I dunno.

  7. Holy shit that show blew my mind haha. SO much energy. Got to do the meet and greet, it was super fast, (I one day want to get a picture with friggin' Mike Shinoda, but no cameras were allowed blah.) despite the long wait by the buses backstage. But man like you Derek I got there at the end of Incubus and by the end of LP's set I was in row 2 without even trying it just kind of shifted that way. Oh and Derek every band member seems to know you now, lucky I'm jealous haha.

But dang, if I could afford the travel and stuff I'd love to hit up another show. I'll be honest LP has almost re-awakened. Finally got to see QWERTY (last half) played for the first time in person, loved it. Almost passed out haha.

So, how long were you in line for the meet and greet? I have one for the Indy show, but really don't want to miss Incubus. Debating.....

  8. Not sure if this is the proper thread for this, but I would really like for the next LPU cd to be about 6 covers. We've had the demos, the live stuff, the silly stuff. I would love to have some of the songs everyone has listed be Linkin Parkified and included on the next LPU cd.

  9. Thanks for starting this. I have seen many others on LPU asking similar questions. I emailed LPU HQ directly and got a presale limit of (4) tickets.

As for the M&G, they said you get (1) pass and there are no guests allowed. My question on this is as follows:

My LPU membership is in my name. If I say that the LPU member is my son (13), can he go to the M&G and I would have to attend as well as his guardian? Are they really checking LPU ages? Just wondering. Thanks again.

  10. Anyone know the ticket limit for LPU presale? Also, anyone know the policy if my LPU membership is in my name, but I take my son (could he go to the M&G as the LPU member and I go with him since he is a minor)? I tried to find some kind of faq on LPU and also searched the forums but could not find these items addressed. Going to the Indy show on 8/25! Thanks!

  11. My wife and I are going. I bought 4 tickets at the LPU presale before the Summit was announced. The other two backed out, so I have 2 tickets I need to sell. Section 121 row 10. Thought I would try here, then maybe LPU before going to stubhub.
