  1. It's not completely out of the norm for Comic Con. Metric did a secret show after a Scott Pilgrim screening there back in 2010, Childish Gambino did a show there in 2011. This would definitely be one of the bigger names they've had. Also to kinda clarify, they won't be performing at the convention itself, but in the area near it. SDCC takes over most of the city surrounding the convention center so there's always tons to do. There's a House Of Blues not far, but it's seemingly all booked up, except for the 27th, and the show on the 25th is a late show, so it's still feasible that LP could play there by themselves at like 8, depending on if HOB would wanna clear out/clean/set up for the next show by 11.

  2. Idk, I'm pretty sure the bands' management teams decide this, but it can be weird. I'm a big 311 fan, but I saw their tour 4 years ago where The Offspring opened for them. That seemed very strange.

311 is a bigger venue band than The Offspring, thats all that was. Plus yeah, Offspring was direct support for them on that tour, but 311 still only played 4 more songs. Pepper was the actual opener.

  3. Yeah, I love how the set opens. Everything about the sets in 2004 were amazing. Especially PR04 in particular. Wish? Hip Hop Medley? APFM, OSC closing? Faint with Bert? OSC with Jon Davis? Good shit.

Oh yeah man. I was at 7 shows during PR04, and I NEVER got tired of that set. From start to finish, it was just pure energy.

  4. I respect that he doesn't want to release this, BUT I've gone six years hoping to see footage of me performing with the band, and nothing. And now, someone actually has it, and wont at the very least let me see myself play Faint with the band? I'm sorry, that's wrong. I've never been a trader, and I wouldn't put it out there for the public to see, it would just be a nice thing to have as a keepsake of one of my favorite memories.

  5. This.

If anything, out of the grace of someone's heart, they should at least release a video of Faint, even if it's just to you personally since that's a once in a lifetime thing. I think you should get that video. If I get this show you can bet I'll get that to you immediately.

Thank you, man. I'd given up all hope of ever seeing something from that show. When Sal told me last night, I was overjoyed that a video existed. I'm keeping my fingers crossed on this one.

  6. I'll do almost anything to get a copy of this show. I'm Billy, the guy who played Faint with them at that show. I've been dying for years to see any possible video of that night, which was easily one of the best nights of my entire life. If the trader can see this, and is willing to help me out, shoot me a pm, please. Even if its just the video of Faint, that would be enough for me.

  7. My favorite Linkin Park concert experience was August 3rd, 2004, in Camden, NJ. I had been following the band on Projekt Revolution that summer, and this was my 5th show on that tour (14th LP show ever for me), and just like every other night of the tour before that, the whole show was amazing. But then when it came time for them to play "Faint", they changed it up, and started asking for a fan to play. They picked my buddy Jason, and I'll admit, I was bummed, because that had been a dream of mine since I was a freshman in High School. Then, and I dont know how, Jason messed up, and played the wrong thing on guitar, so they started looking for someone else, and thats when Phoenix heard all the people around me yelling and pointing towards me. He tells security to help me onstage and for the next few minutes, I am living my dream, performing a song live with my favorite band of all time. It was surreal to be able to look around during that song and see all the guys, or to look out at the crowd and see 10,000 people having a great time at the show. No matter what I do the rest of my life, I will never forget this moment.
