  1. Why am I talking about this festival over here?

It's the only festival in Sweden who invited Linkin Park to play in it, and LP lost their chances to play there. Because they cancelled a show twice over there!

The news is that, Hultsfred Festival has been confirmed as cancelled, probably forever, this were confirmed almost 1,5 weeks ago.

These Linkin Park shows were cancelled at the Hultsfred Festival:

12.06.2003, Hultsfred Folkets Park - Hultsfred Festival 03

14.06.2008, Hultsfred Folkets Park - Hultsfred Festival 08

The 2008 show was supposed to make it up to the 2003 show, but it got cancelled as well.

I knew one of the promoters at the Hultsfred Festival, and he told me earlier this year that they won't give up with LP. He said that Hultsfred Festival is going to have atleast one successful LP show within a couple of years and the promoters won't give up with it.

But now, we can truly confirm that it's never going to happen. Hultsfred Festival has been cancelled due to economic problems. Pretty sad, I was there 03 & 08, Because of LP.

Hultsfred Festival was actually the only festival who were interested to see LP at a Swedish Festival.

So now, we LP fans can truly confirm that these shows is never going to be made up again :/

Pretty spooky, Hultsfred Festival had some kind of "bad luck curse for LP" haha ^^ , everytime LP were supposed to play there, something bad happend to Linkin Park.

Otherwise, I want to thank the hardcore Linkin Park fans who made their way to these gigs, even if LP didn't show up. We'll do our best to get LP back here! :) And when LP is back here, our show is truly going rock the danish show :P haha (kidding).

  2. I saw Jay-Z two weeks ago at Bonnaroo. He uses the Points Of Authority riff in the middle of 99 Problems as well as playing the Numb/Encore instrumental.

I LOVED his set. Fuck, he closed with Numb/Encore but went into a 9 minute version with fireworks and stuff. The place was going crazy. My tape is up on DIME of it. It's 6 years later but I wish LP would tour with Jay-Z...a big tour. The crowds would still love it. Play all 6 CC songs. Not of that half of Numb/Encore bullshit lol. I can only dream...

    Yeah man :D !

Jay played Points Of Authority and Numb/Encore last night :D !

Wow I'm thankful to him now, he calmed down Sweden with some LP stuff.

  3. hey dude still remember me , itz me same from the old lp boards indian thread :D , it would be absolutely fantastic to bring him back again, im sure he will be playing with lp in any one of lp tour 2010 , my prediction is london O2 arena i hope :D

Yes sir! I Remember you :) ! Long time since last! And you're still a Linkin Park soldier! Nice to see you again man! :D

Thx once again man and I hope you make it to the London gig :) ! And after that, tell me how it felt to see LP for the first time in your life!

Anyway, I really hope Jay-Z plays Numb/Encore this saturday! :D It will be a LP experience Sweden havn't got for a looooooong time :) !

Btw, hope to see a LP show in India the next Asia tour, If it ever happens, count with me at the concert!

  4. Have you guys noticed that Jay-Z still plays a playback version of Numb/Encore he did with LP back in the good old LP days?

Here's an example from Rock Am Ring:

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xMWh3QHPDuo

Pretty interesting, the crowd goes crazy when they hear the playback of Linkin Park ^^ .

Jay-Z is going to play in Sweden this Saturday, and I'm going to see him at the Peace & Love Festival, I'm not a huge fan anyway.

I'm just going to see him because he's going to headline the Peace & Love 2010 Festival here in Sweden.

I really really hope he's going to play the playback version of Numb/Encore live :D ! It seems like he's been doing it this whole summer tour, atleast it's going to be the only LP experience Sweden is going to get for a long time.

Even if it's a playback of LP, it makes me happy, to atleast hear a LP ong from the biggest stages at a festival. It's atleast better than getting shows cancelled all the time haha :D

    Cya around LP Street Soldiers.

  5. please DO Rock Am Ring!!! If Metallica goes too, it will be the pure awesomeness!!! do you think they will go?

    yeah dude! :)

They might, because, LP plays in Rock Am Ring everytime they release a new album :D !

    See you there!

  6. I say Sweden gets a show in 2011. Definitely a part of the European Tour in the summer of 2011. I bet LP does Rock am Ring, Rock im Park and some other huge festivals.

But as far as this goes, I'm glad it's not Copenhagen again...I'd rather LP play in different cities they've never played in before. Like Hannover in 2008.

There's a direct train going to this gig just a few minutes from my house. I'm planning to catch it for this gig ;P !

Well, 2011 isn't impossible, but I've been giving up on LP shows in Sweden, last year I went to England (Sonisphere 09) instead :) ! And I'm going to Rock Am Ring 2011, it would be a honor to see LP playing there ;P .

hmm but Hahninator, just pray for a Swedish LP date now :D !

  7. you clearly don't have a clue about danish music fans! LP in pumpehuset, 2001, sold out, Linkin Park Forum 2003, sold out (but was cancelled), forum 2007 sold out, linkin park skive beach part sold out on one day tickets, mch arena herning 2010, will undoubtly sell out, so maybe we don't deserve a show more than sweden, maybe they just realised that it's better buisness...

I have one thing to say about the last part..There's one country that truly deserves a show and it's Sweden.

What LP have done here lately is a scandal :P and people are tired of it, end.

  8. I'm sure it is, i don't live there or study it's history, so i'm sorry if i meant to say otherwise. As i have been saying now, Copenhagen is in the center for several countries, as germany, sweden and norway. So i'm just thinking it's a smart spot to have the show at. As i have met people from all of these countries when i saw Rammstein last year in Copenhagen, when they playing in Forum. If they really need to play at a stadium, then go ahead by all means. :P

Oh and @DogFan, i don't know how you got it as you did, but i never meant it as Denmark would not sell out. They most likely will, and i don't really care which country sells the best. Still, Malmö is a good spot, and so is Gothenburg, stockholm is not the only place to play a big show in Sweden anymore.

So anyway Alex, do you think we got a chance for a show again, on this tour :) ?
