  1. The BMI database entries for Slip and Blue are a little interesting too, Mark Wakefield is credited on Slip, but not Blue, and Phoenix is credited on both songs, despite him leaving the band prior to Chester joining (although that may just be a result of LP crediting all current band members on new music releases these days). I have a feeling both of those songs were started prior to Chester joining, with Blue being from the short period where the band didn't have a singer between Mark leaving and Chester joining.

Yeah, I think we'll probably have to go with that for now. That's probably a question for mike.

  2. Chester got the call from Jeff Blue offering him the audition with Xero on his 23rd birthday, which was in 1999. The dates on the LPU11 demos are probably wrong, unless they were recorded prior to Chester joining the band and he just added his vocals to them later on.

    Yep 1999, my bad.

And from the back of LPU11:

    02. Slip (1998 Unreleased Hybrid Theory Demo)

We did various versions of the song, but never felt completed to release the song. It has never been released until now. It was in the first batch of songs (with "Blue") that we worked on together when chester joined the band.

I don't think they would get dates wrong on an official thing. Something is up with something though. 1998 could have been when they first started writing them.

  3. Not sure if this has been answered before, but how come Chester is on Slip and Blue when it says that they are 1998 demos, which was before Chester had joined the band?

Chester joined in 1998, and he got the call on his birthday (March 20th) so he would have joined soon after that. They had 6+ months to record songs in 1998. He left Grey daze in early 1998.
  4. Something that shouldn't have been released to public :P Stage setup - lightning etc. :P

Is that for brisbane? if so, i would be quite interested.

I have the Stockholm equivalent but in two books (25 pages all up).. not sure if those links work still. No one was interested in it, no replies or anything.. hah! i thought there would be a little bit more interest.

  5. I am not ruling out an album prior to this show, but I find to it to be unlikely.

I'm thinking it could be something more along the lines of a pre-album tour, or a studio break tour.

I don't think its just a studio break. They have been in the studio between the EU and AU tour, US and Asia tour.. and since the end of that they have been working on it. I can imagine they may have it finished by June. I think the only way he can tell is when they announce more dates.. if any are around march or may, it must be a break, and if its after.. the album is probably done.
  6. There are so many versions of the LPU9 because it was an international release. It was a normal release like an album for example. It was available in shops worldwide unlike all the other LPU CD's (with the exception of the Best Buy packages until LPU8).

The vinyl was done to make it special, to have a nice collectable item., it was not sold in shops.

Yeah, but my question is why didn't they continue it? Was it not as popular as they hoped..
  7. You stuffed up your quote, can you fix it.

No offense or anything if you made that, but that design has nothing to do with ATS era art, or any art they have had before. It looks like its been copied from google, and slapped on an LP symbol. The back of the shirt also does not make any sense, because those dates are not all the world tour. Its got LP Underground on the sleeve, but those dates don't have anything to do with the LPU.

But yeah, that picture is completely random, why is that on there?
