  1. The album We're Here With You (btw: a reference to the legendary Pink Floyd album with the title Wish You Were Here!) will be out in September, with a single release coming up in July/August.

  2. Is this the Jay whats his name remix.Or original.

It's the Jay Baumgardner Mix... Not a remix, though - I think this is the original mix that JK were not that satisfied with. Only one of the reasons why it wasn't included into the new album, I guess...

  3. So you guys are gonna post Julien-K tour dates without mentioning the name of the album they're touring for? It's not like Ryan and Amir have been posting album updates for "We're Here With You" like crzy on twitter. w/e

They are not touring in support of the new album, as the new album won't be out by then ;) But there might be some more previews for it, of course... The real tour supporting the new album will take place after release!

  4. YESSS! :)

And the Cologne show for the street teamers is by far the most epic one ever for me, since I can celebrate into my birthday on June 11 that night!!!

See you at as many shows as possible :P I'll definitely go to the Cologne show and the M'era Luna Festival..

  5. This is the most extensive tour coverage we have ever had on LPLive. From setlist pictures to show pictures to immediate show reporting, etc...the Julien-K Euro Tour beats them all. Hopefully a Linkin Park tour could be done as nicely as this one someday! Anyway, enjoy!

Fucking awesome! But yeah, JK are just the best and deserve the best coverage *hahaha* And also everyone had to make up for me not being there :P

  6. The Catalyst made me appreciate DBS even more.

Totally right! And it's DBS season again so I've been rediscovering the album lately. To me, it's the perfect fall album - maybe because it was released in fall but also because it transports a certain atmosphere that I can really adapt to during this time.

  7. Its a bitter shame to see GMYN being declared as the worst DBS song.

Its easily the most complex and musically the best song chester has done so far (even astat reckons its muscially better than anything LP has ever written! :o )

I guess its like classical music. Some people just need to appreciate what it is.

I'm totally with you on that.

  8. I don't like My Passion at all... But yeah, I'm not into that emo/screamo stuff in general, so that was no surprise! Murder FM sound quite good, though! Nothing too special but definitely something I would watch! Good thing for me then that My Passion won't be in London *hahahaha*

  9. wow that's not good at all but theres not much we can do about it. at least they didnt break up completely. Does anyone know where brandon will be going next?

No idea but I don't think he will turn away from music completely. Maybe he is gonna focus on engineering and production work again or he is doing an own DJ project... Who knows!

  10. Well the "Nine Inch Nails" part made my day. Ha!

Oh yes, I loved that as well! Industrial and synth influences? Really nice to hear for me being a Julien-K lover ;)

Really cool. Hope it's not too political... MTM was enough...

Hmm yeah... I actually thought they would focus more on political topics because you know, their lives are good now! They don't have to worry about anything anymore and they have dealt with their past in their first two albums. They are over it and are enjoying life, so they have to turn to all the other miseries in the world for their lyrics. I mean, Chester obviously had some more recent problems but he dealt with them in Dead By Sunrise so now he might be done with that as well. I think that's the reason why they are sticking to more general topics now.

  11. I should have clarified that I think they are not on good terms. I'm not even sure if they ever were real friends. I always felt that he just some kind of a hired alien in Julien-K sometimes totally not happy with his position (he actually was hired sometime in the middle of the writing process of DTA).

I think he is 24 or so and Ryan always called him a kid and semi-friendly mocked him. At least, the way Ryan acted and talked about Brandon always made me think that they never took Brandon too serious, even though he admitted his talents numerous times. Chester even farted in Brandon's face on some LPUTV video...lol

Jokes are jokes, but if I were Brandon I'd got enough of them at some point.

Umm, sorry but he wasn't a hired guy at all. He has been working with Ryan and Amir ever since they recorded the Orgy album Punk Statik Paranoia in 2003 (!) and they have been close friends ever since. First he was only taking over engineer duties (also for Orgy) but then Amir and Ryan introduced him to their new project Julien-K, and they started to work on it together. From the start, Brando brought a lot of ideas into Julien-K and at some point they decided to make him an official member of the band, also because they thought he'd really fit. Believe me - he can really put up with Ryan's jokes and Ryan's overall behavior. It's not semi-friendly mockery - it's just joking around and Brando can actually be really funny as well! And Ryan calling him a "kid" doesn't mean that he didn't take Brando for serious. They REALLY respect him and look up to him for his numerous talents and the countless hours of work that he always put into Julien-K! So yeah, I'm convinced they are still on good terms! They might not see each other that often anymore but they will remain friends!
