True, Burberry could be mislabeled, and really from 2011, which would make sense because Space Station came out in 2012. Wow, good point. Also, I was expecting the #84 tag as well and I assumed it would be labeled as Accident. Hell, even was even published in Rolling Stone Magazine that it was called Accident. But I don't care about the titles being wrong. I think the wrong dates are way more annoying. I think the reason that this happens is Mike just takes whatever year the file was last worked on and calls it that. Which means the song could have been written in 2006 but maybe it was edited extremely slightly, like a 1 second edit, and it would show that is the last time it was worked on, you know? Would make sense for a lot of the mislabeled demos.

Also, I saw that someone above said Dark Crystal was way too hip-hop sounding and could be used for Pusha T or someone, etc. but once 1:07 comes in, it sounds like LP, IMO. Obviously not the typical LP sound, but it sounds LPish to me. The one thing that surprised me with these new demos is how electronic and techno sounding they are. Almost like ATS in a way, that's exciting. I don't really think Dark Crystal is as hip-hopish as it is electronic/techno, though. Air Force One sounds like a soundtrack for a late 80's/early 90's video game for like Sega Genesis or something, and that's fucking dope.

It's like Mike couldn't resist using his usual drum samples

  2. When 8-Bit Rebellion! was announced, the press release mentioned that the developers (Artificial Life) and Linkin Park had signed a three-year contract and planned to release a series of games during that span. Obviously that didn't happen, presumably after 8BR was largely unsuccessful. I'd imagine given the timeline, the "video game that didn't happen" was a proposed follow-up game with the same company.

I highly doubt the planning of 8BR dated back to 2008 though..

  3. Ryu was in the studio with Holly Brook AKA Skylar Grey recently......Hmmmm I dont think it has anything to do with a new FM record but check it out.

I honestly dont think its a coincidence that all the old FM sites are re-registered, FM facebook was started etc....I really believe a new FM album is coming... Check out this interview with Mike back in September of last year. Sorry if its been posted already.

It is going to be a long shot, but who doesn't want another Mike Shinoda/Holly Brook song..

  4. Your way of saying Mike won't do anything bigger than one show with Fort Minor because of money he lost 10 years ago, is to post a quote saying that while he did lose money, he didn't care? Thanks for making an irrelevant point and then countering it with your own source.

The dude is a multi-millionaire. If he wants to take the monetary risk to revisit Fort Minor he will. Same goes for Chester and DBS if he didn't already have STP.

As far as saying he can do whatever he wants with LP now: yes, songs like WTCFM, UIB etc. have obvious hip hop influences, but he might want to make his own record free of the LP name. I don't see what's wrong with having a solo artistic release to work on during down time from Linkin Park.

I'm fairly confident that Fort Minor was never about money.

  5.

I see what you are saying. It's not for the consumer LP fan, but more for LP fans who want to create their own remixes and music, etc.

Yeah, I mean.. As much as I'm not a huge fan of StageLight, the idea that you can make a track with samples sampled by Linkin Park themselves sounds reaallly cool right?

  6. Now that's what I can a great setlist. New songs, new medleys, and new arrangements. It's totally unexpected and I hope they keep this tradition during the rest of the tour.

And, since there're no DSPs anymore, maybe they're considering releasing a proper live album again. Which, according to this setlist, is going to be awesome.

  7. Nope I would bet money they won't do that. The Mall soundtrack, while created by LP, isn't an LP studio album technically. It's a film score. There's also no kind of theme to connect the two albums besides the artists, so it would be kind of weird. I guess we'll see, I just don't think it will happen.

I'd say it's possible that they release some kind of deluxe package with the two albums if they are to be released in similar time periods. Like what they did with LT+Recharge and MTM+RTR. But yeah, won't be a double album sort of thing.

  8. Well, I'd love to see more LP Collabs, for sure, but I want other members to be more involved as well. Based on the making of ATLNC series, it is safe to assume basically Mike and Chester work on the song and occasionally get the guys to get their feedbacks... I don't know..If it's a Linkin Park collaboration we'll definitely need more than Mike and Chester in the game.
