Didn't get that vibe at the Hamburg show. From the other performances I've watched, she reaches the threshold of "enough" singing as far as I'm concerned.
I also would prefer if she'd sing everything, but yeah. To be fair, there are a couple of points to take into account here
- They play 2 hours shows, which is longer than during any of the previous cycles
- They're doing more shows this year than they have in a very long time
- The current setlists are leaning towards the more agressive/heavier end for LP standards (Casualty-Keys-Given Up in rotation at every single show is a pretty intense spot alone)
The above is a big toll on its own, and we know that Chester performances circa 2014-2017 were pretty strained in spots, and 2009-2012 had already been a tad bit less legendary than 2007-2008. I'd prefer Emily to be a bit too cautious with her voice, than not enough. LP songs don't go easy on vocal chords.

Really looking for this one, as it's a song that was pivotal in the build-up of the new lineup.
First song Emily sang on (excluding early 2019 session with Mike only, not LP related) if I'm not mistaken.

CTB is catchy af and super fun. Love it.

That's a really crazy one. The UCL final is a huuuuuuge thing.

I'm convinced QWERTY will eventually make a comeback, be it this year or next year for the 20th year birthday. But the sooner, the better ^^

This is great, thanks so much!!

The bridge to this song is honestly so sick.
The bridges from this era have been pretty solid overall, which I appreciate a lot.

It's a simple, super fun, fast-paced track with a great bridge.
It's refreshing to have LP step out their usual "Mid-tempo" beat range when it comes to singles. The energy level here is super high, and contagious
Love the vocal harmonies and back-up vocals throughout the song as well!
The video is quite cool too, loved Emily on guitar during the bridge, and the Two Faced ref is super random but fun

Hope Casualty is from the Dallas premier, that was dope!

Banger Deluxe

This is the bangers era, not the weird stuff era.
Those craving weirder stuff will eventually get it, I guess, but there is a time for everything. A comeback was not it.

🔥
Seriously. Big hit incoming.

I agree with this, I'd just say though that just because it has potential and gets big marketing doesn't mean it's not a "B-side" in the sense that it was a discarded song from the final FZ tracklist. I feel like this could've still been written during FZ and not made the album the same way Lost was with Meteora. But we'll find out later I guess
Most likely it was started during the FZ sessions, maybe completed after it though.
Knowing the band wanted to keep FZ very short on purpose, they probably kept many of the other tracks with the intent of making them shine later on. In that sense, I feel this track and upcoming others may fit a bit less the traditional b-side definition ("leftover from the sessions"), and have more of a "this is the next big thing" quality.

It's a big time single. It sounds nothing like a b-side or even just an album track (one of those songs that make an album great but can't obv be singles, like nobody's listening, a line in the sand or the messenger). It sounds like a new divide kind of song
Yeah definitly!
This is as "HYPE big single" as it gets. It can already be heard now, but once we'll get it in full HD (and I guess with a video), this will turn into an entirely new beast.

This song has all it takes to be a hit.
I think it'll have it all : single release and video. In my view, it'll be treated less like a b-side, more like a promotional single while on tour. Definitely a continuation of the From Zero cycle , an extension of it, while keeping it fresh.
Those singles at regular intervals is how the industry mostly works nowadays.

Gave it a couple more spins, but I guess I'll stop because the sound quality is really not ideal and not doing the song justice.
But I really dig the track a lot, can't wait to hear it in proper quality. And I agree, some parts remind me of BMTH. Especially the 2nd part of the bridge.
LP is adding lots of bangers to their catalog during this era. This is good for the live shows

I don't know. Personal and intimate lyrics don't equal for better songs. I've probably played most FZ songs more than Heavy already. I find them more fun and compelling to listen to, but it's also a matter of tastes and preferences.
-
So I gave it a quick first listen. Shitty phone speakers in an empty office room with a view on the city skyline
I'll wait for the official release to dive in full-on but first impression: fun spring banger, super catchy, nice LP electronic touch, great bridge.

Haven't heard the song yet, but the "pop rock with female vocalist = paramore-ish' is an old take that's often not quite true.
Paramore is a cool band though, And quite diverse at that, really liked their last album!

Whatever it is, I'm looking forward to it. I've absolutely loved this era of the band and I'm excited for more!
I'll echo this.

- No More Sorrow
- TLTGYA
- KTTK
- GATS
- ALITS
All have already been mentioned, so I guess I approve 😃

POA rocks socks off!

KTTK at this show went especially hard. So glad they're playing it!

QWERTY lobbying going strong!
Still missing Chester
in Live Talk
Posted
Missing Chester is only natural. An amazing, one-in-a-million vocalist, with a voice anyone could recognize, with a warm personality, lots of charisma, a kind heart, you name it.
There will always be a void that can't be fully refilled, and that's okay to acknowledge that. I miss Chester too.
With that said, for the most parts, I've decided to look at it from an "acceptance" perspective, as really, it simply is something where nothing can be done, except moving forward.
And looking ahead, I'm really glad there is a future with the band - of course, a new, different iteration of it - rather than without the band. In the end, it should all come down to "do you enjoy the music? are you better off with that new music than without"?.
If not, that's fair. For some, most of the magic was in Chester vocals, and in that case, we'll always have the old material to enjoy, and maybe new Chester demos in the future (hopefully). It's totally fine to let LP be a thing of the past, I think, although, preferably, I wish it was done without the occasional bitter comments about the new iteration ("cheap copy").
For others, the new material is quite a jam, and it feels great to be enjoying that ride. It's not exactly the same band, yet it's familiar. Like apples and pears, somewhat similar, somewhat different, but I like both. Personally I think LP came back with their strongest release since ATS, and that's something I'll always be happy about.
