  1. ^That screencap, I believe, is from 0:41 in the video--taken by reversing 140. Linkin Park have never had a song at 140BPM. They've had songs faster, but I don't think they've had any right at 140. Closest is There They Go, which doesn't count.

Also, I'd highly suggest ripping the audio and running it through a spectral analyzer, seeing if any sweet patterns show up.

agreed. I wouldn't put it past the band to put some hidden stuff in there because they know how tech savvy the fans are.
  2. The following Tumblr page was discovered titled: "LP 2k12", in the page there is a short video montage of Linkin Park working in the studio. Interesting enough the video features Chester recording vocals for a song tentatively titled ONEFOURTY. At the bottom of the page it says "Could this be something?". Excited yet? Do you think the build up is more intense for this forthcoming album than it was for A Thousand Suns?

X1075 Las Vegas also release some new promo pics for the band. Chester is wearing glasses again...interesting. You can see them here!

You can view the page HERE. Thoughts? Burn It Down will premiere one week from today!

Edit 1 - Here is an HD link to the clip. You can save it if you'd like. http://v.tumblr.com/tumblr_m278u098gg1rtw14s_r1.mov

Edit 2 - And here is a screencap of the lyrics sheet Chester is singing from titled "ONEFORTY" -

  3. I'm surprised the band has kept so quiet about virtually ANYTHING about the new album. We have absolutely NO pictures of the band in the studio, we have absolutely no video footage (LPTV, etc.), we don't even know one demo/seed title except for BID and Lost In The Echo (Magazines gave us that info, too) and they haven't even released a snippet of the new single, which is coming out in only 8 days. It's not like LP at all. It actually kind of blows. I enjoy LPTV and pictures before an album comes out, it builds the hype and gives us a sense of atmosphere for the new album. I'm just worried that the band is no longer happy. They say the new music will sound like their nu-metal past, fused with the electronic sound of ATS. To me, it's a step back, if you listen to BID, it easily could have been a track of MTM (Not a bad thing) but it's weird to me they went back to MTM sound.

i agree, for the record I have made no attempts with any of the puzzles. I feel as though that they are following the slump formula. Make album, not well received, make another album.
  4. Incubus. Would just be perfect if you ask me. I'd also love to see Cage the Elephant with 'em.

I never understood the hype on Cage The Elephant, I've seen them live, listened to the album and was not impressed.

And everyone that knows me, knows I would love to see D.R.U.G.S. tour with Linkin Park lol

  5. So take this with a VERY VERY tiny grain of salt, and there is no real source but just throwing this out there. It's very left field of this particular station (the top 100) to be even posting about this but if the band are truly aiming to have the new album out this year, Q4 sounds about right.

LINKIN PARK have been in the studio and they're almost done with a new CD!

According to sources close to the band's label, WARNER BROTHERS MUSIC GROUP, the iconic band has about four more songs left to master before being 'mostly' finished' with a new CD for the label which should be released in the fourth quarter of 2012 - meaning close to Christmas.

Labels like Warner Brothers are into their first quarter now, which began before the holidays.

Additionally, the Warner Music group, which consists of REPRISE RECORDS as well as the WARNER label, are expecting new releases from GREEN DAY in 2012, and they're excited about the profile of one of their new artists - NEON HITCH - who is currently featured on ASS BACK HOME by the GYM CLASS HEROES.
