I just hate to see anyone have to sell their whole LP collection. The reason I suggested moving is because you said it's very hard to find work where you are, but maybe it will get better for you. I'm sure plenty of people here could help you price your items.

I appreciate, but at this moment, to leave my country I would need to sell part of my stuff first anyway haha.

Sorry to hear that, man 😕 Hope you can get back on your feet soon! Live is a constant up and down...wish you the best of luck to get out of this down-phase!

Do you have a list of your stuff?

Do you have ANY idea how hard it is to get a work permit in the U.S. as a foreigner?

Yes I'm working in a complete list as I write this message. I think I can update the post with a link later today.

    Thanks for your support.

You should move to the U.S. You can easily find work and won’t have to sell your collection. Sucks you have to.

I don't want to live my country, finding a job would be just fine but it seems that everybody is struggling with the same issue.

  3. Hello everyone, I think this could be a long read, I'm sorry beforehand.

This is very hard for me guys, so please don't think I'm milking my collecting to get money. This is serious, please read before judging me.

I hope some of the hardcore members of the LP Live remember me.

I used to be very active during my good days, I think my last post or comment here was when Chester passed away.

Well the thing is, that possibly since Chester's passing my life had been pretty bad to be honest. Just to put you all into context, a few months later of Chester's passing lost my job, which is pretty common I know but that didn't end as expected, had to wait some months to search for a new job because I was under some kind of insurance, anyway, after that my mom got pretty sick, she had a brain surgery which went pretty good but she was almost 2 months under intensive care in the hospital plus 2 more months to be sent home, and after that myself taking care of here all alone. She ended up with sequels in the right side of her body, obviously she couldn't walk and had serious issues to express words. After some months of care in home, she passed away. Was very sudden and unexpected as she was very well, starting to talk again and we were working hard to start walking. She actually she walked a few steps minutes before dying.

And here I am, 20 months unemployed, with a rent to pay and almost without any good incomes as working as freelancer is not giving me enough money and I can't find a freaking job as my country is not doing very good right now and there are so many foreigns that companies prefer to sign them than us, but I don't want to talk about that, it's not foreign people's fault though. Anyway, I had decided to sell all my Linkin Park collection. This is heart breaking because I bet most of you know how much I love LP, some of my friends know that is almost impossible for me listening their music now because I break when I hear Chester's voice and for me selling my collection is terrible but I have to do it or end living in the streets in a few months and I'm not lying.

I know selling all my collection will help me to pay rent for a few more months until a job appears to start all over again. I hope you guys understand my situation.

I would like to get some help because I don't want to sell my stuff on eBay first because they have fees and secondly because I don't want my stuff reach re-sellers' hands I would like to sell my stuff to other Linkin Park fans that I know they will take care of everything.

Also would like to know if someone is kind enough to help me to price the stuff at least a general idea as I don't want to look like I'm selling everything overpriced. Of course I know some of the prices of the things I got, but some stuff I'm not very sure, I would like some updated costs to don't overprice the stuff and if some of you are interested to get the items I would like to talk about it because here is the best place to find the best LP fans.

Regarding the items list. It's pretty big, I know some of you have bigger collections but mine I think is around 300 items or probably more if I count guitar picks, t-shirts, I don't know, everything.

I think that's all. I apologize if this post is against the rules, I hope is not.

Greetings to all and thanks for reading.

  4. It's like you are trying to find a correct explanation right? Like, you would never expect that from Chester. Not now at least. He was so happy, healthy, confident, I don't know. It's like all lose a complete sense. I don't understand.

I'm totally devastated. I can't imagine the sadness in all LP family, and his family in particular with such small children.

  5. I've read that the first Single is out in January, which means that the Album will be out in March.

It's really good that they are releasing the album a couple of months before the start of their tour. I hope they play more than 2 new songs in the tour setlist.

In the other hand, they sold out Estadio Nacional in Peru in just 1 week which is insane and shows how much South America need them here. I hope they play new songs for those awesome fans.

  6. I feel everyday less fan of Linkin Park.
Since A Thousand Suns era ended, they changed a lot, like they put a new chip inside their own heads (Mostly Mike and Chester as the main faces in the band). They started to sell us as fans: Laptops, Clocks, Cars, Motorbikes, Software, Clothes, PCs, etc.
With that, probably the 50% of the interviews after ATS were about their collaboration with companies and how they worked to create art for i don't know a car, or how they built the software to make new music, or how they improved something for a PC, etc etc. More about brands and merchandise and less about what made them what they are now, les about music.

That was the main reason why our Wretches And Kings staff stopped the updates on November of 2014. We really got tired of translating "shit" about them that was almost 98% unrelated with Linkin Park, and their music. Standard interviews about the same shit constantly let us realize that this band was going to somewhere that we were not enjoying, that we are not interested to follow.

Got friends, many friends selling their collection, because they hate Linkin Park now, i got others really confused, some feel really guilty because they can't manage this constant wave of "buy this" from Linkin Park, not taking in account that their last 2 albums are very very very weak musically, and the lyrics are shit with a couple of exceptions in both albums.

I don't like this, i don't like this Linkin Park 2015, call me a hater, im ok with that.

  7. Don't know what to expect about the next album. But i hope they really consider something that they can actually play live. Because the last 2 albums have great songs to play live (I'll Be Gone) but seems like they are not able to do it (All For Nothing).

And agree with Mark about the sound of the next album. I guess is time for them going a couple of steps back and do what they really like to do, something more pop friendly, a mix between ATS and MTM would be good. But they really need to work on lyrics, last two albums (more THP than LT) are very poor in terms of lyrics compared with MTM or ATS.

  8. My thoughts:

I didn't think a tour part 2 was coming so that's no surprise. They'll play a few random cities in 2015 like Milwaukee, Las Vegas, etc...and probably an LA show at some point since they play LA every year. No USA tour in the summer as they'll be in Europe again probably.

I don't understand the "at least one more THP song" thing. They PROMOTED this entire album as an album that was "written to be played live." But then they also said they wanted to play other Living Things songs live like Powerless and I'll Be Gone, so I guess that's just a marketing ploy. I thought they'd add in like Mark The Graves, War (which Chester said he wanted to play), etc. It'll probably be A Line In The Sand - I'll be surprised if Keys To The Kingdom comes in as well. But why can't they play these songs? Phoenix said they rehearsed almost the entire album in May 2014 (source: Rock am Ring 2014 interview).

Don't want to change the setlists? Because of time? 2007 tour ended on 11/30 and 2008 tour started on 1/16. 2014 tour ends on 11/24 and 2015 tour starts on 1/15. That's more time, and 2008 had 3 brand new setlists. But I guess they don't want to do that anymore. The excuse of "oh these B cities haven't seen the show"...sorry but that's just bullshit. As if the same fans don't travel from the A cities to these B cities to fill a majority of the venue instead of local fans. GENERALLY speaking. Orlando? The Tampa fans will be there. And all the other Florida fans. Providence? The Boston fans will be there, just like they went to Mansfield (middle of nowhere ages away from Boston), etc. It comes down to they just are set in their ways and don't want to change the setlists.

But I don't understand why. They aren't tired of opening 55 shows in a row with Guilty All The Same? They enjoy the faster tempo Crawling tease which the crowd sings most nights? And they like the Lost In The Echo 45 second version? Damn, the North American Tour would be a great tour to have 2 completely different sets...different opening songs, different flow, different encores and no more of this shortened song shit. Play Until It's Gone in full (with that epic European Tour NMS/Catalyst Intro that they dropped for some reason), play Lost In The Echo in full, drop some singles, add KTTK, ALITS and APFMH and let's jam.

Fan voted setlists would be great. I am 100% sure rarer Hybrid Theory and Meteora songs would make it into those setlists because the general public at LP shows LOVES those two albums. No More Sorrow has a great shot too, like Given Up does. Any other non-album cut? We'd have to have a grassroots LPLive effort to get something like Reading My Eyes, In Pieces, an LPU demo, etc in there because 80% of the fans going to the show won't vote for those.

Amen Mark, second every word you said.

Would like to add that the fans voted setlist is another bullshit, they know and we know that they know that fans will select weird shit and probably a 180º turn in terms of setlist. So coming from the most lazy band in the world, is very hard to believe for me that they would be open to that idea in the near future.

  9. Linkin Park is one of the most lazy bands in terms of live shows i ever seen. They are fine playing the same setlist for 5 months without any problem. Even contradict themselves in terms of "Playing Singles for Festivals" because are the most popular songs and "Playing some other stuff" for headliner tours... False. They are just playing almost the same shitty setlist since May!

I just can't accept this anymore, im fuckin tired of this. They had a month between the Promo Tour in Europe and the Carnivores Tour and they just added 2 songs? Where is the innovation, the visceral, the loud, the carnivore Linkin Park?

Im not asking the band play Figure 09, QWERTY, Given Up, Blackout, APFMH, From The Inside and By Myself in the same setlist, but they can freaking rotate the songs, surprise fans, rotate setlists, play instrumental songs.

I do not believe that the Carnivores Tour be fucking amazing every night as Chester said, and i do not believe that they are really enjoying the tour when they are playing the same songs every single night since May, with just little changes. Changes that almost every night came from Mike Shinoda.

And about the information of the 30STM and AFI shows, i like the idea. Are making the pre-show posts a bit more interesting taking in account that the Carnivores Tour is the worst LP tour to date. Im with you "Soul", you have my support.
