Ive heard great things about this show from previous years. Looks like I'm going to be making my first trip to see it.

Anyone get any photos of the gear during the stage walk? Theres been little to no 'activity' from people who attended the summit unlike previous times. Normally theres a thousand of photos circulating by now.

I have some photos and haven't had the time to upload any of them yet. The summit was a lot of fun and a great experience. Hats off to everyone involved.

I have tickets for the LPU meetup, summit and show. It's going to be awesome. And its just over a half hour drive for me. See you there Geki.

*facepalm* This fanbase. I can't even.

 

What the fuck do you think would happen if they started playing more full-length songs? They'd go back to playing New Divide, Papercut, Lost in the Echo, etc. in full (MAYBE A Light That Never Comes), and to keep the show the same length, the first thing they'd drop would be With You, Runaway, Crawling, and probably stuff like Joe's solo spot and the Blackout/Robot Boy interludes. Then guess what? We'd be RIGHT back to the same old "they always play the same songs!" complaining that people have been doing for the last 10 fucking years.

 

I applaud Linkin Park for somehow still having the collective morale to even bother going out on tour anymore (or maybe they just do it for the money, who really knows). If I were them, I'd say fuck it, pull a Beatles, and become a studio-only band, because they clearly cannot satisfy people in their fanbase when it comes to putting together a setlist. They could go out and play for 3 hours a night and people would find SOME reason to say the show sucks. "They didn't play QWERTY! Fuck them!"

Sadly I missed the show cause of work. Looking forward to seeing it in full when it becomes available somewhere. This fan base though. Always hating on something. I'm sure it can't be that bad.

wow Darien Lake Performing Arts Center is part of an amusement park

Yeah its pretty cool. They do a deal usually where you can get admission to the park for an extra $10 or so in addition to concert ticket price. Regular admission price is around $30.

That figures the Darien show doesn't have either meet and greet package.

Well right now it looks like I will be at the Darien and Toronto shows. Wish I could do more. But I'm happy with just the 2.

What do you mean by a B city? Like they group cities based on where they want to play, or size of venue or size of city?

I've got nothing. They played burn it down. Nothing said at all about the new stuff.

But, have a question here: that 103.3 The Edge, is a prestigious radio in US? I know they hosted festivals, maybe is not the same radio (?).

I don't know about the US, but here in Buffalo area they are the best radio station when it comes to promoting shows, albums, and singles. They are for the most part the first place I hear any new mainstream rock music info from. Sometimes they are spot on with the dates, other times they are off by a few days. Guess it all depends on their source.

Hopefully they release more news soon. Had the radio on all day and still nothing yet.

I have an update for you all. The Dj I was talking about (twitter @jamesradio) was talking to a guy on twitter about the "new Linkin Park". He said this on the air. "It's done. There is a single and it exists. They're just waiting for the green light to send it on out. And then we can play new Linkin Park for you which is very exciting news."

I don't know about this. I still think that the band is in the studio! I dont see a single coming before at least april, but i could be wrong.

I didn't think there would be anything from the new album for a couple months. That's why I was asking. New can mean anything. I don't remember them playing castle of glass or a light that never comes at all. So it could just be one of those. It would be nice if it was something off the new album. Just play the waiting game and see what happens.
