  1. I’m surprised at the Hunting Party vibes in this song. I love that album to death (see my pfp) but it always felt like the band was embarrassed by it for some reason. Maybe this means we’ll get a few THP songs in the set (all for nothing please)
  2. In the billboard article Emily basically confirmed Dead Sara is done, she is in LP full time
  3. What an insane day. Can't lie though, Rob leaving the band makes me pretty sad. Really thought he'd be there today. Also where was Brad? I hope he will be on these tour dates. The new material is going to be great. The Emptiness Machine sounds like a great mix of everything they've ever done.
  4. Why? What does it sound like?
  5. Brad heard Already Over and was like "hold on a minute, this shit slaps" and called everyone to get the band back together
  6. Yep, exactly what I was thinking. They'd be smart to release something that SOUNDS like Linkin Park too. The big creative swings are a big part of the fun of this band but for this comeback they should just release a massive arena rock single a la What I've Done or New Divide. Coming out of the gate with something like Heavy is going to turn a lot of people off, regardless of if the song is great or not, and i don't think they should risk that at this moment.
  7. The new song will almost certainly feature both vocalists. They'll want mike on it so it is still recognizable as LP, but also will want to introduce the new vocalist. 0% chance the single will be a solo vocal a la Invisible or Shadow of the Day imo, it will be more like Waiting for the End with distinct parts from both singers
  8. This pretty much confirms new song and music video, right?
  9. lol, it's funny how true this is. I'm definitely getting pretty excited for the idea of her joining the band, if that is what's happening. Her voice is incredible. The last remaining question, then, is will Rob be there?
  10. Yeah I know, I was just saying it was easy to imagine scenarios where they had no other engagements and could join LP full time. With Emily, that wasn't as obvious - but if Dead Sara really have fizzled out as you say then I guess it would make sense for her to leave them. Lol, good point.
  11. Like the other poster said, those dates are from 2023. But the Dead Sara question is an interesting part of this. With the Deryck rumor, it was easy, Sum 41 is ending. With Bobby Amaru, it was also easy, as Saliva has no remaining original members and is essentially a cover band anyway, so him leaving wouldn't be that big of a deal. With Emily though... Dead Sara is a fairly young band, I'm curious if she would leave them.
  12. No, only Adam does. That's what I'm trying to figure out about the Emily Armstrong rumor. How and why is she being connected to LP? Is it just because she's following them on instagram? I think she's got a great voice and would be a cool choice if they are going with a female singer, I'm just struggling to figure out why this rumor got started. It's the only rumor that hasn't been disproven so far, so for now it's our best lead
  13. Can anyone explain how the Emily Armstrong rumor got started? I've been listening to Dead Sara and think she would be really cool if they decide to go the female singer route. I just don't understand how she's been connected to Linkin Park.
  14. Like others have said here, Living Things is the album that suffers the most from a subpar mix. The first four albums up to ATS are mixed perfectly. And then while THP and OML don't sound as good as the first four, they are mixed with intention (THP to sound very raw and garagey and OML to sound like top 40 radio). Living Things though, is so frustrating. Because the songs are generally written in a much more 'rock' vein reminiscent of early Linkin Park, but on the album the guitars and live drums are SO LOW in the mix and the electronics are turned up so loud. With a better mix Living Things really could have been the ultimate LP album, a true synthesis of their entire career. I still like the album a lot but it has the most wasted potential imo.
